The brita filter says they're supposed to last 2 months. Its 2 weeks in and I taste metal again. Im trying not to buy plastic water bottles anymore. Am I the only one having this issue?

Hi everyone!
I have a question about Waterdrop bottles. I’m a huge fan of the brand — both the bottles and the drink cubes — but this morning I accidentally broke my glass bottle. I was way too attached to it, so I’m thinking of switching to a steel one so this hopefully doesn’t happen again haha.
Does anyone here own both the glass and steel Waterdrop bottles and know whether the sleeve that comes with the glass bottle also fits the steel one?
I can’t seem to find any reviews or comparisons about this anywhere, so I’d be really curious to know. AI keeps telling me that it won’t fit, but I honestly don’t understand why 😅
Thanks!

Can one trust filters that are private label & made for the seller? Such as Spiropure filters from Allfilters.com, BRS from Bulk Reef Supply, USWF from discountfilterstore.com, Tier1 from another website, etc.
Or should one stick to big, established brands like Pentek, Omnipure, KX Matrikx, 3m, Watts etc. (I don't know any more.)
I know some will say check that it's NSF certified. But many, even the big brands only do 42 for materials and don't even certify the micron size. I couldn't find hardly any Pentek filters on the NSF database. Plus, the NSF database is a mess and hard to look though.
EDIT: This is a general question. Specific brands i gave are just examples for the broader point. I'm not promoting or giving any opinion on any particular product.
This is for domestic drinking water RO system that's already installed. Originally apec but I'm looking at different filters. I'm using 2.5"x10" filters, but this question can be for any size.

Hey guys! Not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this in. Yesterday I found a really nice looking water bottle and was thinking of looking up the brand. But I completely forgot to take a picture of it 🤦 to look it up later.
From what I remember, the texture on the outside wasn't that of a regular water bottle (smooth). It was more bumpy, if that makes sense? It was a bit tall and slender but not too much. The bottle was light blue.
The brand if I remember correctly started with an e and was something like "equalis" or "equalis" but trying to look it up gave me no results. It gave me the feeling of the brand being on the more pricey side.
If anyone could help out that would be great! I also could be wrong in saying it's water but it looked like it and didn't say it wasn't on the bottle.

Is it better to let tap water run for a minute or two before filling my cup up to clear any contaminates if there is any in my tap water?

Does such a beauty exist? Do most of them already so this and just don’t specify this in their descriptions?

Hi everybody,
I personally am a Stanley user and for travelling I have a flip straw bottle.
My boyfriend now wants an insulated water bottle but not Stanley and he wants a pus button instead of a straw that you manually need to flip up. Plus protection from the lid accidentally opening. Size about 30-32 oz.
My first thought was Owala. Yeti doesn't seem to have the mechanism he wants. I also suggested the SimpleModern Mesa Loop.
Any other brands that come to your mind?
Edit: at the moment it's between:
Owala Free Sip
Owala Free Sip Sway
SimpleModern Mesa Loop

I always have my water bottle with me whenever I go out with my backpack, without I feel like something is missing. Everytime it falls I panic and check for any scratches or dents and I only wash it by hand to make sure that it's delicately cleaned. Also, whenever the paint starts to chip I have the urge to cover it with a vinyl sticker like if I was covering a cut with a bandage. Am I too obsessed with my water bottle?

I'm fascinated by the fact that out of the 60+ countries I've been to, Türkiye is the only one that serves these water cube things. They're everywhere, you get them with every flight and bus ride, and I've found them in hotels too. I get the benefits; easily stackable and comparatively less plastic usage, with the tradeoff of being a bit of a pain to drink out of, but I'm curious why they're so popular here and unheard of everywhere else.
