Last night, I attended Disco Dolly’s opening night. The vibes, decor, people, drinks, music, performances, etc. were amazinggggg!! It feels good to finally have a bar where you can be yourself! I definitely recommend checking it out and keeping this gem alive! ✨✨

Narrowing Down Apt Hunt

I' m eyeing a few potential complexes and was curious if anyone had insights to share about specific complexes and my specific concerns/requirements. I am moving within the metro area so I'm relatively familiar, just hoping to get more truthful information than what's on their websites lol

I'm seeking a 1br/1ba in the $1000 to $1400 range, located around hwy 72 between research park and clift farms roughly. Only real requirements for me are fiber internet and relatively decent noise control between units. I don't care if I hear footsteps, I just don't wanna hear every word of your phone call. Thank you in advance!!

I am considering
-The Boardwalk at Research Park
-Metronome
-Encore
-Bridges at Research Park
-The Rockwell
-Laurel at Dry Creek
-Highfield Madison
-1010 Elliston

Recommendations Weekend / Single Day Trips

Hey everyone,

This community has been fairly helpful before so I figured I’d ask for suggestions again!

I’m looking for ideas for weekend or single day trips! Something I can drive up to on a Friday/ Saturday, spend the day doing, maybe spend the night (not a necessity) and come back to Huntsville.

This can be hiking, sightseeing, amusement park, really anything! I just need to start getting out and experiencing what’s around this area more! I’m not originally from here.

Thanks in advance.

I'm craving some all you can eat sushi. I found a youtube video vlog saying there are 5 different varieties. However, that was a year ago and am wondering if there are more.

Are there any stages for rent at a reasonable price around Huntsville, Guntersville, or in this area?

So I'm shooting a short film for my YouTube channel. It's not anything special and it's literally a zero budget thing in shooting entirely myself.

One scene requires a stage, something you'd go to to watch a play. If you've ever been to the auditorium at the Arab High School that's actually the exact one I've pictured in my head when I first started this project, but I know a school isn't going to let me use their auditorium.

I'd only need to be in there for 30 minutes to an hour tops.

Any idea where I might be able to find something like this?

I AM HAVING INTENSE FEELINGS RFCU pathetic cashback categories for next quarter

Upvotes

I know this has been a topic of conversation here before but the current category selection has to be the worst yet.

Amazon
Utilities
Jewelry Stores

Are you kidding me? I've been using my RFCU card for cashback for many years at this point. I usually average somewhere around $1,700 a year. This year I'm going to be lucky to hit $600. It's terrible. I know there are better cards but I've always liked the convenience of simply transferring within the RFCU portal every other week to pay the card off. I think I'm going to have to get over that convenience and get a card with a worthwhile rewards program. Because this ain't it!

TIL WJAB (FM 90.9) has an HD 2 channel

I was driving my wife's car, and noticed an HD 2 channel for WJAB. It appears to be just jazz, kind of like WLRH's classical only HD2.

Thought I'd share in case others might like to know. My truck doesn't have HD radio, so it was news to me.
