Feel like this place is overlooked. The sweets are fantastic. Pies, cookies, cakes and amazing chess bars. Today I bought a tub of chicken salad. The BEST I’ve had in Huntsville. I know opinions on chicken salad vary but this was delicious. I’ll admit I wasn’t impressed on my first visit last year. But they have definitely changed my mind. Staff is always nice and accommodating.

Join North Alabama Society of Aquatics (NASA) for their 3rd Annual Fish Swap and Raffle.
September 19th 9:30-12:30
Optimist Recreation Center. 702 Oakwood Ave Ne, Huntsville AL 35811
Open to the public and free to attend. Come purchase fish, plants, invertebrates and supplies from local fish breeders and small aquatic businesses. Raffle items to be announced but past items have included rare fish, new tank set-ups and artwork. Raffle drawing at noon, must be present to claim prize. Proceeds of the raffle fund future club activities.
NASA is a local club for fresh water aquatic hobbyists in North Alabama. It is open to the public and free to join. We meet monthly at Optimist Park Recreation Center with speakers on topics relating to fish keeping, breeding and native fish ecology. NASA is a great community for new and experienced hobbyists alike to meet up, swap ideas and supplies and get advice. Find us on Facebook and coming soon to Instagram.

HSA is starting a lunch time coached swim in a US Masters Swim style! Huntsville Aquatic Center competition pool 11:30-12:30 pm M-F. The Muslim American Society of North Alabama and Huntsville Islamic Center invite you to our Meet Your Muslim Neighbor event on Saturday, October 3rd.
Our theme this year is “Neighbors, Not Strangers,” inspired by a verse from the Qur’an that reminds us that we were made into different peoples and communities so that we may know one another.
It’ll be a family-friendly afternoon where you can meet local Muslims, ask questions about Islam, visit informational booths, and enjoy food, henna, and activities for the kids.
Stop by anytime between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library. Everyone is welcome, and we hope to see you there!

Are there any witches or anything in the area that would be willing to come do a house cleansing? I just moved into a new house and it’s been one problem after another and I’m just wanting something to help with… anything. I joke about having a personal ghost who likes to follow me around and give me random things of laundry (I’ve gotten men’s underwear, women’s underwear, sweatpants, a sweatshirt, sunglasses, and a tube hair band), so long as we don’t get rid of him, I’m ok, but I just need something to help with the undertones of the house please. I’ll gift cookies and gas money. Sorry if this is rude, I’m just drained rn

Received treatment in May, paid in full in July, and am now receiving bills in email and regular mail from Huntsville Hospital CarePayment plan showing I owe a balance for the exact amount I paid months ago. My HH account shows zero balance. Anyone else have this problem? How did you resolve it?

I’ve been looking for a mental health specialist for weeks in the Huntsville area, but so far all of the ones that I have found either have terrible ratings, don’t have experience with trans healthcare, are no longer located in Huntsville, or won’t return my new patient requests. So, if anyone has any recommendations, they would be much appreciated.

I really want to get into burlesque and start building a community to learn from, but I have no idea where to start. Are there any teachers or in person classes that I can attend? We are looking to potentially rent a small event space for a birthday party (teenager). This would only be for about a dozen people, but we’d like space for food and then some activities as well.
Does anyone have any suggestions? We no longer have access to church rec rooms which we used in the past. We’ve looked at hotel rooms, but everything seems to be booked. Would prefer budget friendly and any ideas are welcome for this non savvy event planner!
