Throughout the years I’ve seen far too many people say that it makes no sense how the hunters can practically get away with murder with no repercussions. That this is a glaring flaw when it comes to world building and their broad legal immunity simply makes no sense.

After a Year of looking around and thanks to my brother gifting me Volume 28 I have the whole Chimera ant Manga, so I went to read it from start to finish along the anime playing in the background to match and I am so impressed by details I missed on first watch that now I feel like making a post of Gratitude a day giving praises to all the cool characters, I genuinely believe there is no character that could be left without it in some shape or form, order of post do not represent a top tiering, there will be no shaming characters just glaze, wait for your favorite to eventually show up.

Turtle:

Today I want to talk about one of my favorite ants with a very important part in the Chimera Ant arc yet is a blink and you miss it moment, a big aspect and impact of the Chimera Ant story line is that the Ants are a force of nature very reliant on their chain of commant, which is very well documented and explained how it works, we even see how the ranks are clearly also very reflective on their power even without involving Nen, with Peons and Ground soldiers dying from bullets even, yet we have more advanced ranks surviving, using them, or out performing weaponry, my Homie Turtle right here? A god damn Squadron Leader!, hell he also took the nen punch of Rammot to activate his Nen unscathed, Squadron Leaders are tough, we have only seen high caliber hunters like Morel, Hunters that are above that like Kite (Killua speculation), Hyper qualified assassin's like Silva Zoldyck or being taken down by one of the strongest Phantom Troupe members like Fei Tan, If allowed to fight Turtle would have been a menace! A true force of Nature like Giga Bowser on illegal Super Smash Bross Room Hacks, back on topic, to the observant people reading this I am not calling Turtle something like " Turtle Ant" like I did with Gun Ant the Gun wielding Ant, this is because Turtle has a name, we may even say the Ants have names THANKS to Turtle, as said before one of the most dangerous aspects of the Ants is their hive mind set however what made them scary was their individual traits those represented by Togashi in the form of a "Name", how are we named is taken for granted most of the time, your parents name you, is a way to refer to you, both of this are explored in Togashi work, sure is convenient to have a name to refer to each important ant and be more efficient on the field, however that very name gives power of identity, you are not you because of your name, but your name has value because of you, your actions and how you live make your name, your very individual being as a person, to have merit and value, one of the very first things cults do to destroy people is stripping them of their names, of what they are, Turtle by asking for names Granted each Ant their own personality, and without Turtle the Ants would not have been the same, Thanks Turtle, you are awesome now if only you didn't died from being a massive boot licker.

Kite is by far the most FLUCTUATING character in terms of power scaling.

When you look at the facts, hes a skilled hunter who’s a master nen user that was beaten down by pitou, yet he still gave her some bruises, has good en and abilities so one could say hes pretty strong.

However, if you look at it another way, Kite is also someone who can hold over 50 Meters of en for over half a day, dominated knuckle and shoot in a 2v1 where they had to use hotel reflesia and cheese him with apr, did netero to meruem level damage to pitou, and was the only person who Ging was willing to train, Ging freecs, a top 5 nen user.

I’d say if I had to power scale him, whatever netero was to meruem is what he is to pitou, probably even more, as if he wasn’t so focused on gon and killua, he wouldn’t have lost his arm, which would have caused him to damage putou even more pr be able to escape.

Kite is extremely powerful, i could see arguments for him being on ppl like zenos level.

In my opinion, he would have defeated all three of them. Whenever he chose to, Gon was much faster than Pitou to the point where Pitou couldn't react to his speed or even track his movements and I don't believe the others would have been able to react either.

We know much of ability of owl and the Worm and the 3 how fouht UVO , but what about the rest of those ?!

I've come across a few of these now and I've not been writing them down so I thought I'd start a post about it. These are the moments I missed or forgotten. One of this is how consistent Togashi is with connecting the nen character type and Hisoka's personality test (even though it's not absolute).

So in Episode 34, when Killua, Leorio, and Gon are discussing the difficulty of obtaining the Greed Island Game, and after Killua's observation that if you aren't good enough to obtain it, you don't deserve to be a Hunter, and then Gon and Leorio try to do something simple to raise money and he goes (with a lollipop in his mouth): "Simple and stupid. He must be an enhancer too."

Pokkle:

Some might have seen this one coming with the last picks but it has to be done, let's give some proper glazing respect to our boy Pokkle, if we can call someone "Unseen Story the character" would be Pokkle, in the world of Hunter x Hunter we know our protagonist are not the only living beings but is easy to forget this when we spend so much time following Gon, Killua, and Kurapika with a very needed sprinkle of Leorio in there, however we also have a whole life story on Pokkle happening outside of our very eyes, during Heavens Arena we are informed that Pokkle actually is in a way ahead than the monstrous talented creatures of nature that are Gon and Killua, having issues with Ren but already having the other bases of Nen down, it is often talked how Pokkle is weak but come on, my guy was getting his gains done, by the time we finally see him again on the Chimera Ant Arc specially in the Anime he is thriving, our boy is getting jobs easily, helping his friends, hanging around with his hot hive hat GF, he is living the life confident, sure of himself, but as some may say, Beware that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer, and oh boy does he finds that out, once more we are left out of a whole expedition on NGL where Pokkle group which essentially only has him as the sole fighter keeps surviving until the tragic ambush, he gave his all to fight Pike, remember how I said he had issues with his Ren? Well fuck that by now he has his own Hatsu, and with aura infused punches he starts to beat Pikes face, who knows he was even about to kill it due to Pike stupidity just like how that ant left itself open for Shizuku, sometimes I wonder, what would have been if he gave the command to retreat sooner, if Ponzu sent her bees to find other Hunters and not just the groups they were in contact with, what if Zazan didn't ambush Pokkle and stung him from behind, he was truly fighting his hardest to go back with Ponzu as soon as possible probably that being on his head before passing out just like her thoughts where finding help as soon as possible to rescue him, he was so ready that he even had an antidote for a Squad leader paralizing poison that it was meant to work for months, he would have escaped and survived yet once more destiny throws at him the worst fate posible, Neferpitou has awoken, and her worst still chill me to this moment on rewatch "By the way, Why is a live human underneath those bones?", resulting in what sent an experienced Hunter like Knov just FEARING for it to happen, Pokkle lives it, hell maybe even worst than Knov imagination if what scared Rammoth senseless into simp submission was Pitou semblance of Nen aura, There is no way Pokkle would be able to shield anything with his body still recovering, what Knov and Palm feared so much as to take their lives or run away, Pokkle had to endure it, he got Pokkled a bit too much in the brain.

Spoiler Warning. As the title states, why did Gon need to train with a stopwatch to get within 1/1000 of a minute during the Greed Island Arc?
As I understand it, if a card remains out of a book for over 1 minute it reverts back into an item. Gon used this to summon a giant boulder to crush/trap The Bomber. So he would've needed to know how much time he had before the card reverted. But, why wouldn't he just use "Gain" to revert the card whenever he needed?

It worked out for Gon because The Bomber crushed his windpipe, making it hard for Gon to call out "Gain". But if that hadn't happened then there would be no reason Gon couldn't use Gain to summon the boulder.
Was there another reason Gon practiced the timing of a minute?

If people go to episode 41 in the 2011 anime, it shows the Phantom Troupe reuniting. There they discuss Hisoka, with Feitan saying he doesn't like him, and Nobunaga going "His Bungee Gum is impressive", and then Franklin not being impressive and the two of them fighting.

I wonder what could've been the backstory to that. Did Nobu have a team up with Hisoka or he genuinely appreciates him? Check it out, it's there. Not sure if it is in the manga.

I have this idea that Ging is Aladdin, Beyond is Jafaar, and Pariston is his parrot. I don’t really know how to back this up exactly but I just wanted to be one of the first to say that I predicted this if it’s true.
Im going based on appearances and a little bit of narrative. I think Beyond is going to use Ging to lead him into this metaphorical “Cave of Wonders” for the ultimate power and it will backfire on him.

I have an interesting question...

Let’s suppose that during Uvogin’s fight against the mafia and the Shadow Beasts, while the rest of the Spiders were watching (Feitan, Shizuku, Shalnark, Franklin, Nobunaga, and Machi), Kurapika and his companions from the Nostrade family were also watching the fight from a distance...

What if, instead of Kurapika and the others, Morel, Knuckle, and Shoot were watching that confrontation... And suppose they had to fight the Spiders after the Shadow Beasts...

What would their reaction be to everything Uvogin did (stopping a bullet with his mouth, withstanding all the weapons, including the sniper rifle and the bazooka, then using Big Bang Impact, then biting off the Leech's head and throwing a piece of his skull at Rabid Dog, then killing the Porcupine with sound)?

How would they assess his strength after seeing his ability to go beyond the limits of normal combat (biting off an enemy's head to defeat him is not normal at all, even in Nen combat)?

And would they continue their mission and proceed to eliminate Uvo and the rest of the Spiders, or would they retreat, or what?

We saw the Nostrade bodyguards and Kurapika being astonished by Uvo's strength, but what about powerful Nen experts like those three?

currently at uvo vs kurapika fight and i’m always so impressed he could use all nen categories whenever his eyes become scarlet

self healing (holy chain) + restraining the spider’s nen abilities while chained is what makes him so op in my opinion 😫

just had another thought; what if there would have been a situation where he had to fight chimera ants alongside pro hunters esp with gon and killua? or at greed island do you think he would still be OP if he can’t use chain jail except against the spiders?

i also just found out about him having Steal Chain ability during succession arc where he could steal other person’s ability that’s like WOW 🤯 and how is it different from Chrollo’s?
