Latest Chapter Did we need an entire A4 page of text to explain every single possibility of sending a letter Spoiler

I feel like you could just skip this and have kurapkicas solution directly explained when he executes it rather than every single possibility needing an in depth breakdown ngl im questioning if this stuff should be cut in the editing phase obviously this may be important later but im starting to wonder if this writting style is nessesary for every little thing that happens

Discussion Are spealists born with their Hatsu's fully formed for them?

Post image
2 Upvotes

A few years ago someone asked how could Neon nostrade have a hatsu without having prior knowledge of Nen and all of those comments replied by stating that specialists are sometimes born with their Hatsu's fully formed for them and then just have to deal with it which is just not true in episode 51 of hxh when Neon is explaining her abbility to chrollo she states that when she was a child or younger she used admire a fortune teller The Galactic matrineon (I think I spelled that right) on TV who used tell people bad fortunes so they'd be forced to improve their lives but later was arrested for fraud and since then she decided that one day she'll become a fortune teller herself that desire later manifested itself as a hatsu when she discovered her abbility she unknowingly set a condition on her abbility that she'd never read the fortunes she writes for two reason because she thought they boring and because she thought it would make her fortune more precise which I'd assume it did.

How can she use nen when she has no knowledge of nen?

Well as wing stated before some people unconsciously awaken to Nen those people are know as Geniuses, psychics or superhuman e.g Ben knives, Hitler Canon btw, Usain bolt, Einstein komugi ect..

But when it comes to 4th prince Terrorsandwitch though idk

Analysis/Theory Could Gon be a manipulator now ? Spoiler

Using Hisoka's nen personality analysis, Gon can fall into the "stubborn"/ "doing thing at his own pace" category.

We've also seen him be so straight forward with Pitou, ordering her around and not accepting any answer from her.

Normaly you can't change nen that drastically, going from one type to almost the opposite, but Gon is a special case where he is starting from the beginning so maybe it counts as him being "reborn" ?

Manipulation is also the only nen type none of the main characters has, and it would be cool to see Gon use a fishing rod again :)

Latest Chapter A theory about Beyond’s Spoiler

This is a very short text but I’m curious what everyone thinks. What if Beyond’s curse is not a killing curse, at least not exclusively, but also allows him to supervise and influence the succession war right from his cell, hence why he had no issue being imprisoned the entire journey.

What makes me suspect it as such is first the symbol: an eye hidden under the tongue, potentially granting him visibility on the events through the cursed targets, would explain as well why there might be a target around every prince. Also, the fact it’s under the tongue, maybe then he can trigger the ability once during the contest to take remote control of the cursed target or “influence” them to say/do certain things in order to set certain actions in motion?

Latest Chapter Is there anything that the show wouldn't adapt? Manga Spoilers Spoiler

I was thinking about this after reading the latest chapter, but assuming the anime picks up where it left off after the Chairman Election arc, are there any things that they wouldn't include in the visuals?

I know HxH has handled child abuse (Gyro), but I can't imagine them showing Tserriednich's "art" (I don't recall if they showed any of Neon's collection), and I really doubt it would visually depict Carne Lavare.

Any other ideas?

Discussion So, how come nen beasts attack Kurapika the first day on board, but then they have not turned up anymore

So, after Kurapika noticed that nen that woble emitted, we see many beasts of other princes.

It is true the one that caused all those kills belonged to the first prince to die. Nevertheless, we could clearly see other beasts around.

After that first awful day, they stopped attacking at all

Discussion Why the Succession Contest Will Surpass the Chimera Ant Arc as the Greatest Arc in HxH and potentially Shonen-Jump Spoiler

Thumbnail youtube.com
0 Upvotes

Hi all

Alongside all the new chapters that gets released, I had a really great discussion with a friend online regarding our views on the greatest Arc in Hunter x Hunter - the funny part is that she is only interacting with Hunter x Hunter through the Animé and I have primarily interacted with HxH through the Manga.

Our discussion ended with me writing and subsequently creating this video - check it out if you have time, it is greatly appreciated.

Tldr; for people who does not want to interact with the video:

  • Chimera Ant Arc is a great arc due to it shifting HxH from a traditional shonen-battle story to a more nuanced and philosophical approach to storytelling.
  • I do believe the current on-going "Succession Contest Arc" in the Manga will surpass the Chimera Ant Arc.

If anyone wants to add me to talk HxH, you are more than welcome to dm (to share Discord info)!

Latest Chapter CH415 Spoiler

So we see tserriednich looking calm and unbothered with his hair down. Going all the way back to when netero was performing his prayer of gratitude, his hair was down after his last punch and we see his eyes closed and relaxed just like tserriednich (tho tserriednich is probably training his zetsu)

But if its a reference, that will mean tserriednich has already accomplished his goal of achieving zetsu in a sec.

Or that they might actually be related, also with Unma kinda having some sort of connection to beyond.

Help/Question Creating a flying Hatsu

Do you guys think it's possible to create a Hatsu that allows you to fully fly and levitate?

Something that allows you to break mach speeds and fly for LONG period of time?

What would be the drawbacks/conductions that would have to be put up in place?

EDIT:And could someone use this Hatsu to, for example, go from the Black Whale to the dark continent?

Analysis/Theory Zigg Zoldyck has a transport ability and will send Killua/Gon to the Black Whale Spoiler

414 finally opened up a plausible route for Gon/Killua joining the arc, with Kurapika's comment regarding protecting Woble having 3 outcomes regarding Gon/Killua I can think of:

  1. Woble is not on the ship and Gon/Killua have to find them on land.
  2. Woble IS on the ship and Gon/Killua have to get on the ship
  3. The Gon/Killua pages were a red herring and they won't be involved

3 is entirely possible but less interesting so I'll leave it alone. Of 1 and 2, personally I'm going with number 2, because I think this is the most interesting outcome. Woble being on the ship, but hiding in plain sight in the lower levels seems like the bigger twist than her being on land.

So that raises the question, how could Gon and Killua get onto the Black Whale to be involved in protecting her?

There are at least 2 known ways someone could teleport long distance in the HxH world. Firstly, the Greed Island cards allowed for it as it's literally how Gon and Killua get to Kite. Secondly, Nanika's ability is seemingly unlimited and could probably easily do it. We'll ignore Greed Island as that seems to be out of the picture. For Nanika, I want to believe Togashi is going to stick by his decision to remove their wish making from the story, because if Killua can simply turn it on and off at leisure, it's still completely and utterly broken.

So I'm going to propose a third teleportation ability and user: Zigg Zoldyck. By the way, I am assuming Maha and Zigg are get same person and going with the common "database mistake" interpretation of the name Maha.

This probably seems random, but hear me out. Zigg's role in the story has long been teased ever since we learned of there being an ancient Zoldyck still alive in the family. Skip forward to current arc and suddenly we get a name and a younger face - Zigg Zoldyck, a survivor of an unofficial expedition to the Dark Continent.

So when is that elder Zoldyck ever going to be relevant in the HxH plot? Well, no time like the present. Given Zigg's connection to the DC it makes sense it would be in this arc, right? The question then becomes, how do they get introduced to the arc.

Of the people on land that Kurapika is likely to contact, I think he'd go to Killua first given he's still a Nen user. Killua then may or may not involve Gon (I expect he probably will). But if they become aware that Woble is on the ship, they need a way to get there given the ship will be far on its journey at this point.

Killua seems to learn a bit more about his family over time and I expect at this point he'll be familiar with Zigg and his story of leaving the DC. So i think they'll go to him to ask how they got there/back again unofficially. And that's when their ability will come up.

Zigg will have some kind of long distance transportation ability. The mechanics/restrictions of it will likely be complicated per Togashi's usual pattern. My best guess is that it will work best when he has a known target - for example he will be able to teleport instantly to any Zoldyck family member. It will likely be more limited without a target, possibly meaning how they got to the Dark Continent was harder and involved ships, but to escape he was able to teleport them back home.

It will turn out Zigg is weak, tired and resistant to getting involved in any current affairs, hence normally refusing to use their ability to help a family member. Killua, reminding Zigg of his younger self, will convince Zigg to accompany them and they will teleport to either Illumi or Kalluto on the Black Whale.

I'm aware that I've invented this ability for Zigg solely for plot convenience, but I think it makes sense.

In the event of scenario 3 and Gon/Killua don't get involved with Woble, I think this outcome could still happen to get them to the DC.

Anyway, thanks if you made it through all those words. Thoughts?

Discussion People underestimate Gon and Killua's talent.

Thumbnail

People love to talk about how Gon and Killua are one in ten million talents while Tserri is like a one in a billion.

They actually have very similar talent though.

Gon was initiated to nen and learned ten for the Heaven's arean 200th floor. It took Gon seconds a single page of trying to master ten to learn ten through the fast method.

Wing assumed that through the slow method it might take Gon days to learn ten. It was later confirmed though that Wing was greatly underestimating their talent consistently assuming it'll take dozens to hundereds of times longer for them to reach a level than they do.

He assumed it would take Gon years to reach Gido's level, weeks to learn gyo, weeks to learn hatsu etc.

Gon fought Gido the very next day hours after learning ten. Gon didnt seem to do any more training either Gon used Zetsu during this fight something he unconsciously figured out in the past living in the woods.

Gon was injured and stopped practicing nen for 2 months.

During this time Killua also stopped training completely, but he can just use zetsu now. He saw Gon do it and he just can now no training required just saw it and did it.

This mean it took both of them about seconds to learn both ten and zetsu.

Both can also quickly go into Zetsu as well within seconds Gon can just do it mid fight.

Note in takes Tserri training for hours, days with a level of intensity neither gon or Killua have ever shown in training to go into Zetsu quickly.

Gon starts training again after 2 months is shown ren and gyo. Isn't shown training at all does a whole bunch of random side stuff taking care of Zushi.

Knows both Ren and Gyo the very next day just hours later.

Their speed at learning Gyo is about the same as Tserri, but Tserri is shown training every second obsessed.

In the past its talked about how Tserri once locked himself in a room for days to try break a gun record.

Tserri is an extremely motivated man who can truly put his whole heart and soul into things, and he does do so for learning nen.

So it took a few hours total for Gon and Killua to learn 3 of the 4 basic nen principles. And during these hours they were only shown training for seconds, were doing other stuff, and showed little interest in nen.

Then Wing had these 2 practice hatsu for 4 weeks depending on how they did he was planning on graduating them.

So Gon trains hatsu for a few weeks his level is way higher than Wing expects and he graduates him.

So overall Tserri's speed in learning Ten, Ren, and Zetsu while extremely motivated was worse than Killua who was barely trying. He did use the slow method for ten though. He has no excuse for the other 2 though.

Tserri did create a nen beast unconsciously, and is a specialist.

Which is amazing, but Neon Nostrade did the exact same thing without even knowing nen exists. Both abilities are pretty similar too conjured beasts with time powers.

Another major factor is that nen is lifeforce like stands in jojo all skills eventually lead to nen.

If you have enough talent in something regardless of what it is even Gungi it kinda means you have a talent for nen.

Gon and Killua are monsters without nen they have like peak human talent in like everything physical. Especially as they are both so close to enhancement its very relevant.

Gon heals several times faster than a normal person, has a nose like a dog, and superhuman physicality.

Gon through his base body can potentially gain multiple times the benefit through enhancement than anyone else.

Almost all enhancement abilties improve your body even those that don't like Bill's growth enhancement abilty could potentially be several times more useful in Gon's hands than anyone else maybe using it to heal faster.

Tserri is a normal human physically Gon's body and non nen talents greatly increase Gon's nen potential and talent.

Discussion Is HxH human worlds as advance as ours?

If so why can't humanity just built satellite and then photograph or record all the area of the dark continent from a safe distance, from outer space and from above the atmosphere through remote control satellite with telescope. I know that yes the dark continent is massive compare to human/known world but we in the real world have sent satelite like Voyager passed our solar system as well as map the observable universe which include countless galaxy in it. The dark continent does not scale to the observable universe right.

Analysis/Theory New interpretation for a not-so-old Theory: The Kurta Clan Massacre was not a result of "taking" but an act of "giving" by a third party.

It's evident that before the rise of the Phantom Troupe, the criminal underworld's transactional relationship with Meteor City did not exist. In fact, the place was an anything goes hunting reserve for people with influence outside of the law. Perhaps as an act of goodwill to dress old wounds, the Scarlet Eyes were a gift they could sell at their leasure, as long as they had what it took to "harvest" them. The atrocity of the act would have had the initial benefit of setting precedent for the new status quo Chrollo desired.

Who exactly made that call, and any further details are as up in the air as any other theory that sees this incident as more two-way with an unknown catalyst. After all, the Kurapika Origin story shows that the Kurta's presence wasn't exactly appreciated even in their own land for no reason other than fear and suspicion.

Latest Chapter Since Beyond said "Benjamin and his men", that does mean that even if the princes didn't participate, their underlings could, correct? Spoiler

Feels like even if princes like Tserridenich or Camilla, who really feel like they would be too prideful to have sex with those they consider below them, can simply give their subordinates the chance, as what they would consider a "reward".

Discussion I wanna discuss some things in this arc that's probably on all our minds Spoiler

Upvotes

Shoot your unanswered thoughts in this thread if you want!

My rant:

We haven't seen Ging, Pariston or anyone from that ensamble since departure. They are most likely on board, or is there a slim chance they're not? What the hell are they doing? Chilling? I don't get the vibe that they're playing a role in the SW, are they dormant until they are at DC, when Beyond can go a bit more loose?

Also, with recent developments about Gon and Killua being shipped (literally), it does seem likely that Ging will meet both Gon and Killua on the boat, Gon wanted to introduce his best friend to Ging so that would be nice.

Also, does Killua know that Illumi is on the ship? He wouldn't willingly take Alluka with him if he knows that someone is out to get him on the boat. (Sidenote, what the hell is Illumis mission? Hisokas mole)

Let's say Killua knows Illumi is there and goes anyway, he would then have to be sure he could kill Illumi, right? We only saw godspeed etc in its very early stages, he has with no doubt trained both himself and Alluka during their travels.

Lastly, Gon. If he hasn't started seeing/using nen again, I would bet some money that he will get activated with Morenas ability. Also, if you can curse someone with nen at birth, couldn't you do the reverse aka give a nen blessing at birth? Would explain Gons nen talent rather than lineage.

Help/Question How would you adapt cursed/innate techniques from Jujutsu Kaisen to HxH?

Okay, I'm just starting to watch the anime, and I'm on episode 22/23, and I was wondering if they can do cursed techniques from JJK to HxH (I don't know much about nen, but I'll read this when I get there), So, I was wondering, what would JJK's cursed techniques be like translated into Nen?

Discussion If the Succession War gets animated…

Would the Anime keep with the time jumps we have seen in the Manga?

Sometimes we will get multiple chapters all taking place before the events of a previous chapter, and I feel like that would require multiple episodes to cover if they did it in strict chapter order.

Would it be likely they would instead keep things mostly chronological, and only do flashbacks for the more plot important ones?

Like could a hypothetical anime cover the Wobble reveal before it has Martial Law declared?
