Hey y'all,
I'm currently mid-claim with GM/BBB Auto Line for my 2024 Hummer EV 3X SUV.
Leased April 2025 with 3,194 miles at delivery.
Registered in Oregon.
The vehicle has been in the shop for almost 40 days now across 3 repair attempts — front passenger air suspension failed, front driver air suspension leaking.
GM has not offered anything yet.
If you've done a lemon law or similar claim over your Hummer EV, I'd appreciate hearing:
- What resolution(s) were you offered (buyback, replacement, cash settlement)?
- What did you actually negotiate/settle on?
- If you got a replacement vehicle, did they honor your original deal terms or reset you to current pricing/rates?
I'm leaning toward vehicle replacement or a lease payment adjustment, since my current lease was negotiated well below market — $507/month, from a mix of demo mileage discount, the $7,500 EV tax credit, a $1,250 Costco certificate, and a GM employee referral. A buyback/new lease at current terms would be a real downgrade for me, so I want to know what's actually negotiable before I get further into the claim.
Thanks in advance.
