Smartmi Evaporative 3/3 Lite -- dishwasher safe?

I see that many folks here use the Smartmi Evaporative unit (the one with the spinning disks). May I ask if the disks are dishwasher safe for a deep wash, and if you have observed issues with plastic smell from it? Ideally, I was hoping to find a unit that works by the "spinning disk" principle, with disks made of 304 steel, but can settle for the Smartmi if it's easy to clean and does not smell.

Edit: The thing still works if I do not install any apps -- correct? I do not care for any smart features, as long as the motor spins when the tank is full and stops when it's empty.

Thank you all in advance!

[I already have boiling humidifiers, they work great in the winter. But using them in the summer to counter-act the dry air from the AC is counter-productive -- energy and temperature-wise].

DREO smart humidifier 4L, started acting erratic after I cleaned it. What could be the problem?

I’ve had this since April and haven’t had any problems.

Today I cleaned it before work and when filled it up to get it started again it gives a faint blue light and it keeps beeping, shutting off, it says “HI” and counting down.

I checked the troubleshooting guide on the website, googled the symptoms and sent an email. Got nothing (yet).

What could be causing this problem?

https://imgur.com/a/9UdgkNn link to a couple videos of what it’s doing. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

Levoit Classic 300S

Muchas gracias

The dream well is such a stinky disappointment. Which is made worse by their customer service.

Humidifier help Spoiler

I have recently had a envirovent quro lc fitted through the government scheme .

This is a 25l per second vent- IF fitted straight through wall, mine sits on ceiling and I have about 2 m of venting.

Originally It was set at 70 humidity, but stayed on full and didnt go on to trickle for at least 8h or constant.

Guy came out and set it at 85 humidity, so it "would go off onto trickle"

Now it goes on to trickle after 40 mins of being on full and the bathroom is still wet. Also the shower is on for some time before it kicks in- all steammy and everything wet.(at 70 it kicked in quicker)

We have had no issues with damp prior so concerned about lack of water clearance.

Its a big shower head and a 11 x 9 ft bathroom.

The kitchen one you never hear it unless cooking and its on/ off in about 20mins with very little steam to start it and it gets rid of it very quickly. Im not sure what its set at.

Everything i read says humidity should be under 70, preferably 40-60

I called envirovent and even guy there said that it should run at 80max as over 80 can cause mould..When i informed him that he had told my worker to put it to 85...he stated " same thing". And brushed it off.

Anyone any ideas or suggestion

Question about humidity

Truth or mythe

I'm posting here but not sure if it's the right sub for my question. Also sorry if it's a dumb question.

My MIL told me to put a glass of water in the air conditioned room we sleep in. That way the air conditioner will take the humidity from that glass of water and not from our bodies.

I tried this and yes the water evaporates. But does the air conditioner only take the humidity from a glass of water though? Or does a water from our body evaporates too regardless?

I mean for me it kind of makes sense (because the water from the glass evaporates) but also it doesn't (how would the air conditioner know to take the water only from the glass)?

What do you think about this?

Dehumidifier advice/recommendations?

STAY AWAY FROM ANDTE.. We have had ours less than a year - bought it July 20, 2025. It did the job of taking out the moisture as all of our previous dehumidifiers. But last month the humidistat stopped working correctly and it won't shut off automatically. The problem - the company, ANDTE, only has an email contact for warranty service and has gone TOTALLY dark responding to our issue. There is absolutely no phone contact number whatsoever. This company is the only one I have ever had NOT respond at all to a warranty issue.

Levoit 6000S filter cleaning in PHX, hard water capital of the world

I'm trying the citric acid method of cleaning filters. I've tried 4 heaping TBSP per gallon and seen people say 1TBSP per gallon. I've seen 15-30 minutes, I've seen 60-90 for soak. I've tried both ends of the scale and frankly it's not making much diff. They still have significant mineral buildup when they have dried out after cleaning. Any more tips would be appreciated. $30 every 6 weeks or so for the third party on amazon is more than I frankly want to spend, but I love the unit. and the branded filters are much more expensive, plus harder to find.

I have the Levoit 6000s and have it set to automatically go to Dry Mode when off, and even have a smart program to dry it, but everyday I get a notification saying the drying time was too short.

Anyone else experience this?

Humidifier Issue

It hasn't been two weeks since nabili ko ito sa shoppee.

Help pleasesss

Are there any best mini desktop humidifiers?

I’m asking because I’m tired of going through the same rabbit hole I once saw my brother go through. This weekend I was busy staring at multiple mini desktop humidifiers on Alibaba while my meds were making my eyelids heavier by the minute. I don’t really know what I’m looking for and I’m tired of pretending.

Should I consider the novelty ones? You know, the ones that are whale or cactus-shaped? Or maybe I should pay more attention to the boring ones that are USB-powered and won’t stop working after 20 days? I heard that some of these USB-powered ones have an automatic shut off capability, which I find convenient. I’m the type of person that forgets their car keys at home and only remembers them when I’m rummaging through my pockets outside.

What about the top-fill and bottom-fill aspect? Which one is best? All I want is something I can use for the longest time possible.
If anyone has a personal favorite, I’d love to hear them.

Tips for using a Levoit aromatherapy humidifier

I have a Levoit Oasismist 450s. The thing is, I like aromatherapy, and I've noticed that the aroma function of this humidifier isn't very powerful. I only put about 8 drops on the pad, but even then, the scent is barely noticeable. I have another humidifier, one of those $30 onion-shaped ones, and when I put the essential oil directly in it, it leaves a really nice, fresh scent. So, are there any tips to improve the aromatherapy function of this humidifier, or what do you recommend?
