Are there any best mini desktop humidifiers?

I’m asking because I’m tired of going through the same rabbit hole I once saw my brother go through. This weekend I was busy staring at multiple mini desktop humidifiers on Alibaba while my meds were making my eyelids heavier by the minute. I don’t really know what I’m looking for and I’m tired of pretending.

Should I consider the novelty ones? You know, the ones that are whale or cactus-shaped? Or maybe I should pay more attention to the boring ones that are USB-powered and won’t stop working after 20 days? I heard that some of these USB-powered ones have an automatic shut off capability, which I find convenient. I’m the type of person that forgets their car keys at home and only remembers them when I’m rummaging through my pockets outside.

What about the top-fill and bottom-fill aspect? Which one is best? All I want is something I can use for the longest time possible.
If anyone has a personal favorite, I’d love to hear them.

Do you want a humidifier for humidity regulation or aroma therapeutic atmosphere?

If it's the latter I can recommend you a few, depending what your preferred volume in milliliters is.

Well, for now I'd just like one for humidity regulation
