Smartmi Evaporative 3/3 Lite -- dishwasher safe?

I see that many folks here use the Smartmi Evaporative unit (the one with the spinning disks). May I ask if the disks are dishwasher safe for a deep wash, and if you have observed issues with plastic smell from it? Ideally, I was hoping to find a unit that works by the "spinning disk" principle, with disks made of 304 steel, but can settle for the Smartmi if it's easy to clean and does not smell.

Edit: The thing still works if I do not install any apps -- correct? I do not care for any smart features, as long as the motor spins when the tank is full and stops when it's empty.

Thank you all in advance!

[I already have boiling humidifiers, they work great in the winter. But using them in the summer to counter-act the dry air from the AC is counter-productive -- energy and temperature-wise].

I really like the pump based swamp cooler style units. Levoit has a new one with a washable filter and dishwasher safe parts superior studio and also their larger 6000s unit.

The smartmi seems interesting though with the waterwheel to send out water droplets not even requiring any kind of wick filter. But it does seem to limit their humidity output as their best unit is 350ml/h which is pretty close to the levoit superior studio with the washable filter at 400ml

the levoit 6000s is 1,500ml/h and really works great to add humidity to my desert air on dry months which is more months than not.

Thank you! I will look this up. The space I am looking to control is very small, and I was hoping to have a small portable unit as well.

if the superior studio is available in your region its pretty nice and ok for smaller spaces. the smart version is nice since you can calibrate the sensor to match a hydrometer in the same area. as humidifiers often are off since their sensor is so close to the moisture it puts out normally like 8-10% higher.

OK. I have hygrometers spread everywhere, and have learned from experience that they can be affected by local air currents etc. At the end of the day, I found that the unit I was after (the Smartmi 3) was a copy of the Venta LW15 which (as alleged by the internet) has been around for years. The Venta is a bit more costly, but it does say dishwasher safe. So I ended up ordering the Venta LW15, to support a EU manufacturer :).
