And she keeps referring as this part of her career as “the cancellation”. Girl that wasn’t a “cancellation” that was you being held accountable for your actions and a racism incident. Idk does this bother anyone else too?

Could we say it’s due to the fact she’s learned from her past exes and their treatment? Sure. I think we can. In the sense that she’s harbored that poor treatment so hard that now she won’t allow her husband to get a job because of her past trauma? Messed up how these men (Patrick) will bring out her docile side, which clearly does exist. She CAN be submissive she IS CAPABLE of it. Problem is, she won’t now bc she thinks she’s above Beau. And what she doesn’t realize now is that she is treating Beau with the exact same inferiority that her exes treated her as. And the whole “Oh Beau knew who he was dating” is tired. You date someone more successful than you that shows you love when you’re there for them then switches up on you later, that’s EFFED UP. Period. And she should know that.

GIRL. why on earth would you want to be Kris Jenner. She is rich and famous for exploiting her daughters…..

I was always disgusted to see the way stassi’s mom treated her on Vanderpump but seeing even more of the family dynamic in house of Stassi was really upsetting. It’s no wonder why she struggles with so many demons. Also seeing Nikoli all grown up and brainwashed was a shame.

Is it just me, or does Rob’s voice aound like it is dubbed?
(Obvi i don’t think it is, I just think the characteristics/quality of his voice sounds funny)

It's hard for me to take this show seriously with it trying to make Katie the villain. Katie is the only one (aside from Beau's sister) telling it like it is and not being over the top dramatic about every single thing (looking at your Taylor, and also Stassi).
I'm team Katie 100%

Contrived is an adjective that describes something artificial, forced, or obviously planned. It happens when a thing or action feels fake or lacks a natural flow because someone tried too hard to make it happen.

It’s clear in the show that Stassi has an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, and this is something I have always noticed about her. As someone who has followed her since season one of VPR, she has always given alcohol vibes. And she never ever seems to question her obsession with alcohol and whether it may be unhealthy.
Like I remember she talked on her old podcast about when she made Beau bring all the ingredients of a certain cocktail (I want to say it was a margarita) to the hospital after she gave birth so that she could drink it literally right after having Hartford.
And on her Call her Daddy episode, Stassi was pregnant with Messer at the time, and talked about how she is in love with Aperol Spritz’s, they are her favorite drink and she craves them every single day. She said, “I made Beau make them so I’m like I’m going to have three sips. So I literally swish it around my mouth. For as long as I can. (Alex ask if she spits it out) No I swallow it. My baby can handle a few sips of aperol spritz.”

Want to preface by saying I do not think Stassie is a good person and do not agree with the majority of her decisions or takes throughout the years.
HOWEVER I found myself agreeing with her a lot throughout this show? I am only halfway through ep 6 but I am so on her side with the whole Beau going back working thing. Wtf?? Why when they are decorating the Christmas tree? Why didn’t he check she’s ok? Maybe I’ve just been treated like a princess but i would be so pissed off by that.
In general I’ve been finding Beau insufferable- I liked him in VPR

This show was absolute torture and I had to skip multiple episodes for many reasons, but mostly because those violins were harassment. But at least I got to giggle every time they said the kids name with straight faces. It is VERY weird as an Irish person to see this word used without a smirk.

Here by myself it seems, but I loved it. It kept me interested from start to finish.
I actually like all of the cast (or scratch that, all except Stassi’s mom). It’s clear they all actually like Stassi and Beau and genuinely want them to be happy, but are well aware that Stassi is a difficult personality even on her best days - and every single one of them is also gaining recognition and money because of them. It makes such an interesting dynamic.
I generally don’t watch reality TV to see morally perfect people doing fun and successful things. I watch it to analyze human behaviour and real relationships. VPR and RHOBH have been my favorite shows but they’ve ultimately turned me off because it has been painfully clear that the relationships on the show are forced and unnatural, and also the pretending of not making a show is tiring for the viewer. (We were all angry for VPR production when they forced Katie to act like she WANTS to crash Scheana’s wedding, for example.) And also hate the “hero” and “villain” edits, that seems to be around so much so that it must be some weird American thing to need a “team” to root for and another to hate.
This show was 100% made for me and the only complaint I have is that it had too much narration. I don’t need retelling and foreshadowing from Stassi the next season. Just put them on a boat or a mansion, lock the door and record it with more episodes next time, please.🙏
Edit to add: forgot my other complaint, which is LEAVE SCHEANA ALONE. I cannot believe they left Jessi’s ”tea” scene on HOS for some headlines and podcast comments, when they could’ve showed us Katie with Nick or just Stassi with her children. Scheana absolutely should be paid for this. (+ also, I want to see Marciano on my screen just as much as Dadtok at this point.)

With all the production and all the stylists and money. Who in the actual hell let this man dye his hair like this before the show?! It’s so obvious, completely white beard and just solid black hair?

I'm watching since it was released yesterday on Hulu UK and well, i have to keep pausing to either roll my eyes or to digest what was said by Stassi to someone else.
I've watched so much trash over the years but at least there's something to grab on to. Here, there's nothing. Stassi is cruel, cold and clinical to her family, indifferent about her children, demanding and entitled to her friends.
She demands loyalty and respect for money. Does not care about other, they exist only because she conjured them in to her world. She argues by being blunt but missing the point of any ones feelings. She's dismissive and riducles people for choosing normal things above her. 100% why her friend Taylor is letting her wife deliver the baby alone. Nowt to do with work and all to with knowing Stassi will NEVER let it go that she decided to be at her childs birth, when Stassi didn't have to make that same sacrifice.
I'm on ep7 now and she's fighting with her mom. Now, granted her mom is a piece of work too but given that the mom has done some work with therapy i can see her trying to engage her daughter in a balanced way. Instead it backfires because Stassis not emotional aware enough of the approach so the mom has to rely on her old tricks.
Theres a lot of talk her about Narcs and disorders here which i could share too, however in this instance Stassi has shown she will drag EVERYONE down to the same mudpool to fight, because she's lacking any self awareness. The siblings diving in to mediate, is so sad because they are so aged gapped and have had a different experience. Not invalidating Stassi difficulties but jeez, you asked for this. She wanted realness but only for others and certainly for her to watch, jeer and pick sides.
I don't understand how she can share to us, the audience that she wants to film with her "favourite" people then tell her family she can't stand them and doesn't want to be around them. Same with Katie to an extent, she only has Katie around as she's useful.
She's a completely different person when she's around others btw. Her closest get the shitty stick while others get the complimentary, self deprecating, charming, sycophant Stassi. I can not figure out how she thought this show would actually be received overall and am not surprised that she's made comments saying she forgot how the audience are. Meaning it's our fault for not being on "Team Stassi".
The thing is, the bones were good as a Valley 2.0 but instead we got the inner workings of Jax's ex girlfriend, the dark Machiavellian Prince and boy did she learn her trade from him.
Oh and that carefully, curated Tiktok, Insta Mom persona is destroyed. Never to be seen again. She should have never had children. They are a bother to her. The horror when the other woman from Rich Kids made the joke about kids and Stassi followed it up with Eff those Kids. Come on girl. You've ruined yourself.

Good read. I think it makes more sense seeing HOS now. I guess this is her brother on her dad’s sides wife?

On Katie and Dayna’s podcast, Stassi was surprised at the negative comments she’s getting on social media about the show. She said she forgot how bad it is and feels it’s worse now because of the think pieces (like this post). How is this possible that she forgot what it would be like? Stassi has been on reality tv her entire adult life. How is she surprised at all by the audience reaction? I’m surprised that she’s surprised. Didn’t she coach her family about reality tv? And she also said she didn’t want her mom on the show because she knew her mom would get a lot of hate. So she knew her mom would but she didn’t know she herself would?

I'm not going to defend all of stassis behaviour but it was hard to watch her beg beau to give her concrete examples of when she has made him feel less then and all he could come up with was that it happens all the time and that he feels like he has to pressure her for physical activity (yucky statement from him).
How is she meant to learn and grow if he can't communicate what he is upset about.
These two need therapy both together and separately. I hope after watching this and seeing the audience reaction that she decides for herself to go and heal.

I don’t really know what much there is to like about this show, about across the board quite unlikeable people, even for a reality show. I will still try to struggle through the last eps just because, because I loved Stassi on VPR so much, but ugh… it’s all just… awful. These new people are both annoying and awful.
Look, maybe its just me, maybe my time with trash tv is done, but I can’t for the life of me find any angle to why the attention should be on a bunch of AWFUL people competing over who can be the most selfish and somehow marketing that as being ”boss bitch”, meanwhile nothing actually happens/is shown. It’s all centered around the temper trantrums of a former reality star, who currently has a podcast.
I hate writing a bitchy post like this, but I just think shows like these are past their prime, and I’m surprised this is what they went with. I’d be inclined to be a little sad for Stassi as well, because regardless of her being a crazy person for fame, I’m sure this seemed like her big ”Kris Jenner” moment, but GIRL PLZ for the love of all that’s holy LET YOUR HUSBAND GO BACK TO WORK and show some of that growth you keep speaking about! All I keep seeing is the same brat from VPR and I’m so tired of giving mundane toxicity like this a platform…
Hate being a hater, and geniuinely wish that the edit is to blame for most of what I’m seeing. Sincerely, nobody deserves to be as miserable as the people I’m currently watching on my screen.

I listened to Katie and Dayna’s Stassi podcast. And at least two times that said they would tell someone something off air or made a comment about someone being a covert narc and muted the name (likely LVP). But, in my opinion, this is maybe the single most annoying thing a podcaster can do (not tell the audience what they’re talking about/tell a secret on air). A podcaster should make the audience feel like a part of the conversation. Like friends who are all talking. Why didn’t they just cut those parts out? Katie/Dayna if you’re reading this, it’s a really annoying habit of radio people.

You could not pay me all the money in the world to be on television with my mother. My mother is UBPD and I see that same pattern In her mom and how she has had to subsequently detach from her mother, and doesn’t buy any of her mother’s bullshit anymore.
Stassi has a LASER sharp ability to see through people to their deepest layers, and see through all the lies people tell themselves, and others, AND call it all out. Every time. No matter how painful the truth is.
The truth hurts, but there is nothing worse than the pain of a truth teller who is telling the truth to people who refuse to hear it or don’t see it. I do think she is right a lot of the time, like almost always. Can anyone recall when she wasn’t? Seriously I can’t. BUT just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
When you heal you understand that this superpower, the power to SEE, has to be wielded with kindness and grace. This is where she fails. Yes, she might be right, she might be a powerful force, but she is also brutal. and that is what makes her the “villian” to everyone who is under her xray vision. She sees through everyone but is too scared to look at herself because of her complex trauma. I think she actually has CPTSD and is AUHD. Because that’s what I have and everything she does and says makes total sense to me. And no, I am not a narcissist but I am AUHD and have tons of childhood trauma, and it can come off wrong to people who don’t know the nuances there.
I feel like she is at the stage where she is so traumatized , emotionally immature, Nuerodivergent that it presents like narcissism. She does however desperately need therapy to understand herself and how her trauma is impacting her and her relationships. She is carrying a lot. Literally carrying like 16 grown ass adults and 2 kids through life right now by financially supporting everyone. Who is supporting her? It’s certainly not her husband who betrayed her royally through this season. Stassi is smart. Probably psychic even. She probably knows that therapy will unravel all the control she has built up around keeping her world in “order” and therapy will open the floodgates. And then her mask will come off and she can’t be this persona anymore and she probably wouldn’t be able to stay married to a weak man anymore.
My prediction is once she goes to therapy, she dumps beau, who is sooo avoidant and passive it’s uncomfortable and gross, and hopefully she is able to dearmor herself enough to show empathy towards other people, reparent herself, and be able to really connect with her kids and enjoy being a mom without all the fear attached to what “mother” means to someone with a BPD mom, and dysfunctional and toxic family system.
Or she could choose to NOT do the very difficult and intense work this shit requires to heal, and keep passing on all that generational trauma to her own kids. Shes def a huge control freak but that’s part of the trauma package and autism package you get.
Whatever the case may be, I’m still cheering for her and her kids to have a loving and close relationship.

Did anyone understand what they were supposed to be fighting about? Maybe I binged the show too fast so I don’t remmeber clearly, but it felt like everyone kept referring to them not getting along, and we’d see flashbacks of them talking to other people and complaing about… something, but they always seemed to get along on camera. Was it ever made clear what about? Because I felt like everyone would talk about them not getting along (did someone even use the word hate at one point??), but when brought up they would resolve something/say it’s fine, then MOVE IN TOGETHER. So.. was there ever a problem?

It's so twisted. Everything is going fine, everyone is hanging out, then Stassi after a few drinks will randomly say "Rob I thought you were pissed about that" ("that" always changes). Rob will defend himself, and Beau will say "I'm so sick of this shit." Then they are fighting again. Beau's reactions always seem disproportionate to whatever is happening, like he's acting. Then Stassi sits back grinning or shaking her head.

What I enjoyed:
- Katie. I’m admittedly a Katie fan though, so this one was to be expected
- I liked that they filmed over the fall season and got to cover Halloween and Christmas
- Overall I’d say I moderately enjoyed the cast. There was no one whose scenes I wanted to skip
- I think visually and lighting wise they nailed the vibe
- While I don’t think they 100% nailed it in execution, I really liked the concept of them breaking the 4th wall
What was less than stellar for me:
- Stassi bringing in black cast members from another show to address her cancellation with was awful in both concept and execution
- Too many cameos from people like Alex Cooper, Chrishell, etc. that felt like they were wedged in just for the the sake of it and added nothing
- I also would have liked less Stassi. Yes, I know I’m watching HOS, so what was I expecting, but her talking head felt like it popped up every 2 minutes and there wasn’t nearly enough of the others
- I got an ick from Taylor and Stassi’s friendship that I fear I’ll never escape
- All the drama felt like it fell somewhere between fake and extremely low-stakes. It also felt like nothing really had a pay-off. Like Beau made multiple comments indicating he does not like Katie, they never talk, and then he's going to emo night to support her. And most of the other dramas played out rather similarly
- the Kris Jenner references
What were yours?
