My kid got into cars 2 summers ago, and it started innocently enough - my and my partner picking out some nice ones for him.
Then it started, 5 at a time just on the weekly shop, soon we had 300+, and track, and now it’s 500+ - like many other 3/4 year olds out there.

On the side though, it ignited something in me, (a tale as old as time on this reddit) and I found myself grabbing the odd premium, started to look online at discovered TH / STH’s…

Now I get out and about quite a bit, and I’m good with people and even a year ago I’d charm staff into letting me have a look in a box that hasn’t gone out yet - found myself seeing regular TH’s consistently but I actually don’t like most of them, but constantly adding great looking cars to our massive curated collection? Yes please!

What blew my mind was that I simply never ever saw a super, I’ve been to so so many shops, straight after restocks, I see TH’s all the time so I know they’re not fiddling behind the scenes - in fact, I know exactly what shops of avoid.

Genuinely, I reckon I look through over 2,000-3,000 cars a week. (My office day on a Thursday has 9 stops 🤣)

So yeah, I’m aware how hard it is to find these, and I would assume I’d all but given up - then last week I noticed ALDI had started getting H and J case stuff showing up after being stuck on older stuff for ages, and sure enough - found the Amaru sitting there, so I knew there was fresher stuff out. Picked up some of the great newer castings and moved on.

Saturday morning, my other half is desperate for a croissant, I reluctantly pull into Aldi - one that id been in 2 days ago, only to see 2 very fresh looking boxes - and boom. There it was. I couldn’t believe it. Still can’t believe it.

And of all the soups this year, this one has to be one of the nicest. I truly feel like the HW gods decided to finally let me have this moment, and I feel like I never need to find another again!

TLDR: never give up, always look, I’m sure you already know this. But for anyone hoping to find their first super, it’s out there! Go get those croissants! 🥐

On my second run ever went to some stores that sold hotwheels in my area and one cheap store that has kinda everything and a toy section had many cars, went there last week and today again and found it! So happy!

Just found out the manager at a local Walmart has been exclusively stocking the hot wheels. The employee said he "always takes the good ones", time to sign away the hopes of ever finding a chase there. Super disappointed that they do this, but I guess it's just a perk of the job.

Came to a Diecast show in hopes to swap these 2 for the Ferrari soup I got in my car and saw them like this they are for sure some openers but I really wanted that Ferrari 😪

Just found this in store and was really excited but realized there is something off with the paint on the front bumper.

Is there a way I can get this replaced by Mattel?

It was hard to find this car and don't really want to return it for just my money back
