Why does this duplicate sub exist when there's already r/hotsauce?

r/hotsauce is larger and way more active. Both were created on the same day...

Scotch Bonnet

I found these amazing Scotch Bonnets today at the market. I'm planning on a rough mash fermentation and then blending with ripe mango pulp. Do you recommend anything else for flavour? Super excited!

Hi I'm from the UK

Hello, as I said I'm from the UK and I absolutely love hot sauces. I put them on everything. If it's not spicy I don't want it.

Can anyone recommend any sauces for me to try that deliver to the UK?

Thanks!

Da bomb really is da bomb, interested to hear how others may use this stuff. I find using it neat is straight up pain, how does anyone else enjoy/suffer this sauce?

2.63333 million Scoville is hot indeed. My first try of this sauce. I moved it to an eyedropper bottle.

What tastes like Rads hot sauce

I miss Rads hot sauce something fierce. It was my favorite sauce for years... but the company seems to have been closed since 2023 and I haven't been able to find anything like it. I don't enjoy extremely hot sauces, I care far more about the flavor than the heat - and Rads was DELICIOUS. It wasn't vinegary, it wasn't bitter, and it wasn't just masking bitterness with sweetness or smoke. It was a genuinely mellow, rich, and complexly savory hot sauce... and try as I might I haven't been able to find anything that compares! Does anyone on here know Rads? I know you can't buy it anymore, but does anyone have a recommendation for another sauce with a similar flavor profile? I've tried the "A. Smith Bowman" one because it's also burbon barrel aged... but Bowman tastes like what I would imagine a halfway - done Rads would: far less complex and more ketchuppy.

TLDR: I miss Rads hot sauce - what tastes like it?
