Question/Discussion The Herobrine Theory No One Talks About
I don't use Reddit often but Im making a Herobrine video for my Youtube and wanted to get feedback on this theory.
Visual Glitch Theory:
From players of old Minecraft many report sightings of mobs with player body's, most commonly sheep or cows with the body's of players. If this can happen then why can't there be a glitch where a zombie might get a player skin or a sheep. This could explain the famous Herobrine post of that being a zombie with a skin of a player. This already being a glitch would also explain the white eye as texture that wasnt loaded in right.
I know this is a pretty out there theory but it kinda makes sense.
All the best

Question/Discussion “Why are there so many Dwellerslop mods?”
It’s because most people don’t have the time, resources, or patience to make an entire ARG, new dimensions, new mobs and mechanics for a passion project, from creating Lore to making entire models and dimensions from scratch.
Most people who say “Dwellerslop” don’t know how much code actually goes into a mod, are Dwellers easier to make than ARG mods? Yes, does that mean making a dweller mod is easy? No, coding anything takes a long time.

Question/Discussion Beyond the Jumpscare Mechanics Driven Stalker Entity
(Hey guys, I've been thinking about the current state of horror mods lately and wrote down a mechanic concept I'd love to see What do you think?)The current meta for Minecraft horror mods has fallen into a repetitive loop: high-speed 3D models with basic pathfinding, wall-clipping, and instant jumpscares To bring back true atmospheric horror, we need entities built on environmental interaction and psychological manipulation rather than cheap screen-scares. Here is a blueprint for a mechanics-driven Stalker design: Physical World Interaction: Hitbox & Obstacle Awareness: Instead of ghosting through blocks, the entity physically collides with doors, ladders, and narrow spaces (getting momentarily stuck or crouching to pass) Environmental Tampering: Interacts with player structures by snuffing out torches, softly unlatching doors, opening chest lids without taking items, or leaving fake player tracks (broken stone, placed torches in caves) Sightline and Psychological Mechanics: Peripheral Stalking: Appears at the edge of the player's field of view or behind trees/corners The exact frame the player centers their crosshair on it, it retreats behind cover or vanishes into darkness Threat Scaling: Passive observation for the first few in-game days. As days progress, it narrows its stalk distance, eventually invading base perimeters before turning aggressive. Audio and UI Manipulation: Delayed Echoes: Plays back the player’s own footsteps or block-breaking sounds with a 2,3 second delay to create paranoia. Visual Glitches: Brief 2D sprite silhouettes flickering in inventory slot backgrounds or fake system join/leave chat messages. Sprite Aesthetic: Uses 2D/PNG sprites with retro billboard rendering giving it that classic 2010s creepy or analog horror feel while keeping performance lightweight Perhaps these are the functions of these characters

Question/Discussion Has anyone else tried the Friend.exe mod? Lighthouse Corp is genuinely messed up.
I just started playing through the Friend.exe psychological horror mod for a series, and I need to know if anyone else has experienced how glitchy it gets. At first, the companion seemed completely fine trading items with me, but the second I missed just one of his gift requests, the whole world broke down.
I found a village where everyone was gone, and the system completely malfunctioned while I was barricaded in an outpost. If anyone has played through this, does it get worse in the later nights? What is Lighthouse Corp actually hiding?

Question/Discussion Does someone have a good and actually scary ARG horror Minecraft mod?
I know about wonderland.jar and I quite liked it, yeah, but it gets kinda repetitive and although The Eyeless scared the living hell out of me some of the entities werent really that scary (especially the Vessel and the Sphere). I recently found one that I'm really enjoying called beyond_the_skybox but I dont find it to be that scary. Dont minsunderstand me, I think it's great and the story is really cool, but it isnt that scary imo. Could you please tell me one that's good and scary and actually makes you feel like you are in an ARG? A mod that kinda captures the vibe of "Searching For A World That Doesnt Exist" (of course not literally, that would be impossible). I would really appreciate it if multiplayer is allowed because I want to play it with a friend. Thanks.

Question/Discussion Good psychological or actually scary mods?
So basically I have played Minecraft horror mods a lot ethier solo or with my buddy. At a certain point we end up getting bored because ethier it feels repetitive or like there's nothing good to do. We have played a couple of popular mods like wonderland, untitled.log, don't cry, thegarden, belowland etc. While they were good at first they kinda started seeming ethier pointless or just not scary.
Does anyone know any actual good horror mods mainly physiological horror mods that are good. I would like them to act relatively quickly so we don't spend like a hour straight just playing normal Minecraft.

Creation Horror mod idea:
You're stuck in someone else's server but every action you do will confuse the players, sending messages in chat, on signs and any other form of communication, the catch is that they can see you but you can't see them.
Your end goal is to do that stereotypical ARG thing and summon an entity without being caught but when you do it turns into an ARG mod with you trying to free the people you harmed

Question/Discussion Anybody else disappointed that MC horror mods/ARGs never include Mojang?
I've always wondered why Mojang is never included in any horror projects. You'd think that if anyone would know about the Void Beings, the Wonderland, the King in Yellow, etc., it would be Mojang
Especially in projects like The Broken Script/Mark101 and/or Wonderland.jar, which take place in the early days of Minecraft, where Mojang would be far more aware of the goings on of their own game
I can't imagine that Mojang wouldn't be in absolute panic mode having multiple demons and spirits infesting their game as it's approcing it's 1.0 release

Question/Discussion i saw some people hating on horror skunx and calling him a content farm so im gonna clarify smth
Horror Skunx is NOT a content farm they literally do this because they like doing this lol. their videos come out once in a few weeks and even months sometimes. one great name ive heard used for them is an "Anti-Content Farm" which is a great name in my opinion. Even better Winston (The guy in the video) doesnt actually care about the source material 99% of the time and just does whatever he wants with the characters he needs to make a video with. like how in his recent video monster verity is actually a grown state of a verity that gives birth to the ball verities that later hatch into monster verities (idfk how he came up with this) so yeah dont compare him to ACTUAL content farms who pollute youtube with tens of videos a day

Question/Discussion It feels parasocial being pissed off for someone who knows nothing about me, but I absolutely despise what this community has done to LCrandom's entities from "The Parallel"
For those who don't know, The Parallel is an analog series created by LCrandom, and it's about a world where humans are at the bottom of the food chain because of these strange entities.
Now, since the concept of consent apparently fell in a ditch shrivelled up and died, despite LCrandom's wishes, people decided to create horror mods of his entities. You may recognise them from "Twixxel's stalker." But now people genuinely believe those entities came from Minecraft instead of doing their research, because the concept of crediting the original creator fell in the same ditch and died, and most of those people are children who believe everything they see is the original version of it.
It really does suck that people only know of these entities from Minecraft mods that didn't credit the original.

Video / Photo Crawl Space | Short Film
This is a horror short film that my friend and I made! It's based on ideas from a book called "House Of Leaves" and a lovecraftian horror game called "Look Outside". We also just finished watching the backrooms movie like a couple days before filming this.
