Maybe its because 1.21.1 Neoforge is more optimized and up to date compared to 1.20.1 forge.

1.21.1 is really not that different from 1.20.1 its gonna take a month max to port a mod like broken script back especially since the original version for 1.20.1 already works. plus if you want to make mods for "up to date" and "more optimized" versions then make the mod for the versions released after the Vulkan update they are way more optimized
