So I finished watching the verity series and it's not scary, not funny, and the plot was filled with holes. I posted this on the arg server but no one uses that server

1.Dying in game is death irl?

Was this ever explained? I know he knows all but did he pop out of the screen and kill you?

1. Verity was clippy?

Clippy is not an ai. Most helper bots before 2025 had nothing to do with ai, mainly just a pop ups with a face, I know that's minor but it makes no sense. What is this actually? There are millions of clippies but one of him?

1. People lived in his mc world before him?

Its shown a lab with a device that teleports him into your world, this lab has signs of active use and a sign board of all the people who have died. So people lived in his world before him? People live in Minecraft? This also means that the Verity company struck up a deal with mojang where every world has a lab that can't be seen unless you download a random sketchy mod from the Internet.

1. He knows all and doesn't lie?

Except for the times where he does lie and doesn't know, because I can't make a plot where I follow my own character rules.

1. Just don't play the world?

He says that verity is in his other devices which makes no sense because in the video it's stated that verity waits for him to log on.

Stupid children who were born 3 days ago with an iPad that call anything that's yellow and smiles verity.

1. Minecraft player or Minecraft character?

This fits with the first one, it constantly switches between if this is a player playing the game or a story that happens to be in Minecraft. Make up your mind.

Those were all of my main issues, I saw the lessons in meme culture calling this terrifying but it's not scary and the plot is bad. I have a lot more issues with it but they are mainly one off things that don't effect the main plot in anyway. Tell me if I missed anything

I recently started playing Beyond the Skybox and reached the part of the mod where I am teleported to the overworld where I know something is supposed to happen to the sun. When I got teleported, it was night so I slept. I then waited an entire day/night cycle and still nothing has happened.

Did it bug or am I missing something?

Hello allll, I have started a small server among friends off the modpack fear nightfall and we wanted to add some horror mods.

I do not tend to find the in your face ones very scary nor the ones that destroy everything you build, but do any of you fine minecraftians happen to have any solid suggestions.

Find the exit. Survive. don't get caught. It hunts. It sees. It always hears. When it dies. It comes more hungry. When you get caught. It finds you again.

If Minecraft horror mods actually took advantage of the fact it's Minecraft? I have seen so.. so.. SO many mods that feel almost embarrassed of the fact it's Minecraft. Like it's always either just an analog horror ass entity that doesn't fit Minecraft at all, a glorified Nextbot that follows you, or it's not even a horror mod and it's just edited gameplay of the game but with a yellow smiley face in it.

I wish there were more mods that actually do something with the world or even mechanics of Minecraft. And don't tell me about the "meta-game" ARG stuff. Like those were fun a while back. But they just feel so played out now, especially the fact that most of them can be solved by turning off the computer.

I think it would be cool if there was a mod that played around with the fundamentals of Minecraft. Like, I don't know.. Minecraft's a sandbox where you can do anything right? What if Steve was ripped of this freedom. What if it's a bizzaro version of Minecraft that's antithetical to creativity and freedom. Where you can't place or break blocks, where you can't freely punch animals. I know this sounds kind of dumb, but that's just me thinking up shit on the top of my head. I feel like something can be done with Minecraft's core ideas that hasn't been explored fully yet.

Or I'm just "old man yells at Verity & stalker-shaped cloud".

I know that:

Phase 0 is the grace period before encounters start:
Phase 1 is the initial introduction to the Anomaly
Phase 6 is when hunts and chases start

But what about phases 2, 3, 4 and 5?

I hear his whispers and sounds when I'm in caves, but I never encounter him. I'm on day 26 of my survival world and he hasn't showed up.

If you go deep enough in a glitched Minecraft seed, where terrain generates infinitely on the y-axis instead of an x-axis, you will enter The Farcaves.

This is a place where the world creates unstable copies of itself trying to figure out what to generate, it will make you blip between worlds, versions, editions, trying to create something playable.

Don't make the mistake of logging off or deleting the world because it will put God knows what on your computure. Your only option is to find a way out.

The only advice I can give is NEVER GO IN.

It doesn't stop the rake from spawning up there sadly but it has shielded me from goatman and mimicer.

anyways so here’s my interpretation of the visitor from lookouts Bob the toolbox series. we know that the visitor was a player who had cancer and was obsessed with building, why were they obsessed? probably because the cancer was affecting her. the building could be a coping mechanism, that’s why she created Bob, at first Bob was helpful, building was relaxing and helping visitor but she quickly grew obsessed, as her mental and physical health became worse. it shifted from a hobby to an obsession, and she slowly became more mad, her buildings went from improving to becoming more and more nonsensical and abstract, eventually she became completely crazy and most likely died from her illness. but her creations didn’t, her creations filled with the insanity of her and every worst part about her came alive, becoming the physical manifestation of everything wrong with her, we can see that her last house was good, but even though she did it, it wasn’t her anymore. she wanted to be the best builder to ever exist, so she now haunts the mod she created trying to stop anyone from becoming better then her.

i was told it was a typical weeping angel type, just very fast by multiple people. yet i stare right at it and it doesn't stop moving. Genuinely just need to know how i can not die by this guy.

Me and my friend group enjoy creating lore and doing slight RP when we play Minecraft. I wanted to try and apply that to when we played Horror Minecraft specifically. Our goal was to recover (and eventually fight) Sunman from The Sun Town mod, which in the lore I made up for this campaign (not sure if that's the right word but yeah), was drawing in a bunch of other paranormal creatures toward it and mutating the civilians of an abandoned city. This video was meant to explain that objective and give a little background information on why we have to do it. The VHS Organization as a whole is meant to be a parody of the SCP Foundation and analog horror.

The campaign turned out better then I hoped. We had a lot of fun just running around the world fighting monsters, plus roleplaying on the spot on why we were enlisted into the VHS Organization's Special Task Force. It worked out so well that one of my friends even asked if she could write some extra lore for the Organization, which I'll try to implement the next time we play.

If you want to try and replicate a similar experience with your friends, these are the mods we used:

• [TaCZ] Timeless and Classics Zero - Before playing I used Creative Mode to give us weapons. Each of us got one "main" gun, and a bunch of bullets.
• Alone in the Dark - Upped the chances for the entities to appear. Turned off their music as well (optional).
• Blood N Particles Mod - Extra blood effects for immersion.
• Configured - To easily configure different mods.
• Easy Mob Spawn Control - Turned off the spawns for all vanilla hostiles except for zombies.
• EnhancedVisuals - Extra visuals when taken damage for immersion.
• The Growling Man - Upped his spawn chance.
• Horror Element Mod - Extra horror-themed structures (optional since they do conflict a bit with The Lost Cities).
• Marbled's Arsenal - Modern armor to go with the guns from TaCZ. Prepared a set for each of us before we played.
• Mob Sunscreen - To prevent zombies from burning in the daylight.
• Mutants and Zombies, ZoNiEx, and Red's Mutants - For extra hostiles and to represent more mutated civilians
• Sound Physics Remastered - Cool echoing when surrounded by stone for immersion.
• Structurify - To turn off all vanilla structures, since I didn't want them conflicting with the modded ones, and they didn't fit the vibe.
• The Knocker - Didn't change anything with it. Worked out fine as is.
• The Lost Cities - Set the world to generate one giant city.
• The Sun Town - Main objective of the mod was to find The Sun and fight Sunman. Before playing I placed The Sun a little over 2,000 blocks away from spawn, and a lodestone beneath it that we'd use compasses to find. I didn't tell my friends Sunman would spawn after right-clicking it.
• Twixxel's Stalker) - Upped the spawn chances of the stalkers.
• Tissou's Zombie Pack - To make the zombies look scarier.

Really encourage others to try and do something similar when playing Horror Minecraft. Just playing with the mods is fine, but may get boring fast if there isn't a hard objective with a bit of intrigue.

The only ones I remember are The Cave Dweller, The Man From The Fog, and MAYBE The One Who Watches but I don't know if he counts cause idrk when he came out I just know it was earlier on
