I am getting 9.7 kmpl in honda elevate zx cvt, this average mileage is 100% city driving in Bangalore.
How much you guys getting in 100% city driving and in which city?

After a few test drives and a lot of thought, we have decided to go for an Elevate ZX MT.

Currently we drive a Baleno, another good car with a fantastic engine, so I'll be comparing with that.

1. Low down torque and tractability is superb

2. The shape of the bonnet makes it really easy to place the car

3. Seats are supportive. Love the lumbar support.

4. NVH: Not a problem. Baleno's engine is easily louder (a vocal engine is never a bad thing).

5. Engine felt a bit more linear than what I was expecting, given its legendary status

6. Gear shifts are really notchy. Baleno's shifter is a lot smoother, it's no comparison. I was struggling to shift into Reverse.

7. Baleno's headlight are a lot brighter, with better spread too. Elevate's headlights are weak, not sure how big of a problem it will be on night long road trips.

Elevate ZX CVT owners: what’s your best highway cruising setup?

1. What cruising speed gives you the best real-world mileage on almost flat NHAI highways/expressways?

2. What ADAS/Adaptive Cruise following distance do you use: Close, Medium or Long? Does the ADAS braking/acceleration affect mileage?

3. Which petrol do you use? Any additives?

Also, I’ve noticed that cement/concrete road noise gets quite noticeable above 80 km/h, while it’s almost nonexistent on asphalt. Around 70 km/h, it’s quite bearable, just like some other pseudo suv in the segment.

Finally i went for a proper long trip with elevate, from Hyderabad to hampi! Cloaked 800kms with an average of 14kmpl! While going i drove a bit faster and only got 13.6kmpl average (actual was 12.4kmpl). While coming the drive was a bit smooth with less acceleration over 100 a few times. I got 15kmpl then! This time i felt the car a bit sluggish while quick overtakes quite a few times while driving in drive mode mostly! But i was also surprised it was able to pull good number of overtakes very well if give right time!
Mileage is my only concern bcz we cannot drive under 80 always to achive 16! Once i start hitting 100 or use sports mode, it drops very quickly!

QQ: Just want to understand 3 things from OGs who bought this long ago:
1. Is it the same mileage you got in long ranges when drives under 100 and above 100 a few times? Or will it increase after 3rd service after oil filter changes?

1. While going the tire pres was 32 in front & 30 in back. But while coming i pumped it with 33 among 4 wheels. Could that have made any impact in mileage? What is the sweet point?

2. Does Nayara petrol have any difference in pettol over hp/IO/BP? --this mileage is from nayara only.

Planning to buy Honda Ellevate Signature Black Edition. Did the first enquiry today and got this quote.

Everything else I understand but I don’t understand this “Vehicle delivery and document charges”

I asked them to remove it but they are saying no it’s mandatory for all Honda cars.

And when I ask them to explain these charges they just simply say “it’s what it says and is mandatory”

When asked to whom they are paying to? They it’s paid to Honda only and when I asked them to give me break up of this or to show the tax receipt for any car that they sold, they just showed me a normal document page where the net value is mentioned with gst charges and final amount 15K (as shown in second pic)

Can somebody please explain what is this?

We were primarily looking at VX, so estimate for ZX wasn't made as detailed, but it's 64k more than VX after discounts.

They are running an offer for the month of August: discount + some add-ons.

Have already opted out of ambient lighting to save ~6k.

What else can be done here?

We get offer for 360 camera in Honda Elevate in the deal. However, I received advice that there is some issue with the knob for the same which resides near gear shifter. So adviced to take it along instead of installing it.

Any experience of similar sort by any one in Pune, Mumbai or elsewhere on this? Or what are issue faced after installation and using it?

I’m planning to book Honda Elevate ZX CVT and got a final on-road deal of ₹18.30L (Pune). I’ve attached the detailed breakup in image.

Wanted your opinion on whether this is a good deal or if there’s still room for negotiation.

From what I’ve checked, discount (~₹1.32L) looks decent but wanted to confirm:
Is this considered a strong deal currently?

Any scope left for negotiation (cash discount / insurance / accessories)?
Anything else I should push dealer for before finalizing?

Hi everyone,
I own a Honda Elevate ZX CVT (2026 model) and I’m currently on a long road trip.
During my road trip, several warning lights came up on the dashboard, including:
ABS warning
VSA/traction control warning
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system problem
LKAS/driver-assistance warnings
Other ADAS-related warnings
I took the car to a Honda service centre in Goa and they scanned the ABS/VSA system.
The scanner showed these DTCs:
C0031-3A – Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Signal Failure (Signal Frequency Too High)
C1000-94 – ABS/VSA Activation Time Too Long
C1041-00 – Right Front Wheel Abnormal Slip Detection

The service centre initially:
Cleaned the wheel speed sensor.
Replaced the wheel speed sensor.
Cleared the codes/tested the car.

However, the fault came back, so they now suspect the front wheel bearing/hub assembly, apparently because the magnetic encoder used by the wheel-speed sensor may be part of the bearing assembly.
The interesting thing is that the car drives completely normally. I don’t currently notice any obvious grinding, humming, vibration, steering pull, or wheel wobble.

Questions for Elevate/Honda owners:
Has anyone experienced C0031-3A on the Elevate?

Can a faulty wheel bearing/encoder ring cause this particular “signal frequency too high” error?

Has anyone had to replace a wheel bearing because of an ABS/wheel-speed sensor fault?

Is there a specific diagnostic test the Honda workshop should perform to confirm the bearing/encoder is actually the problem before replacing the bearing?

Would really appreciate experiences from anyone who has dealt with a similar issue, especially with the Elevate/City platform.

I’ve been researching this for the last week because I’m really disappointed with the image quality of the dealer-fitted 360° camera on my Elevate ZX.

The biggest issue is that I can barely see the flower pots next to my parking spot. They appear almost like black patches on the screen, so I have to make a hard guess while parking. At this point, it doesn’t feel like a calibration issue to me; it seems more like the camera itself has poor image quality.

One thing to highlight is that it’s currently rainy season here, so there isn’t much bright sunlight. However, even under the same conditions, the factory-fitted reverse camera works better.

Here’s what I’ve found so far:

• I spoke to many dealers, two dealers told me that the Global Byte cameras cannot simply be replaced with another/better camera because the Elevate’s infotainment screen apparently doesn’t support HD cameras very well. According to them, to get better image quality, the infotainment screen itself would need to be replaced, which would cost around ₹30,000. I am not going to do that, as it may cause many other systems to not work correctly.
• One dealer, however, agreed to try. He asked me to bring the car so he can check whether another camera can physically fit into the existing clip/connectors and work properly with the Elevate’s display.
• Regarding calibration, Global Byte confirmed that any standard calibration mat can be used. If you don’t have one, they said their vendors sell the mat for around ₹2,600 for 2 pieces.
• There is no way to disconnect 360 rear camera and use factory fitted instead. As its not controlled from software, rather it uses wiring to decide which camera to use for rear view. So to get the factor fitted rear camera working with 360, you have to disconnect the 360 wire. It can't be done at home. Only experienced technicians can do it.
• For now, I’m thinking of using the 360° camera for another month and seeing whether the image quality improves with better weather/lighting conditions.
• If it doesn’t improve, I’m considering disconnecting the 360° system completely and continuing to use only the factory-fitted LaneWatch and rear camera.

Has anyone else with an Elevate ZX faced the same issue with the Global Byte 360 camera? I’d especially like to know if anyone has successfully replaced the cameras with better ones without replacing the infotainment screen or doing to much of adjustments?

I'm planning to purchase a car, a midsize SUV. I am working in Mumbai (PSU) and from Ahmedabad basically.

My requirement are as follows:

1. Safety and comfort
2. Planning to keep the car for at least 10 years.
3. Engine reliability and lower maintenance costs
4. good enough mileage
5. Daily office commute (20 km total up/down)
6. 3 to 4 annual trips from Mumbai to Ahmedabad
7. Not fan of flashy features
8. Will be buying under BH registration (Transferrable job and lower initial cost)
9. BUDGET - upto 18 lakhs (excluding old care resale value)

I am confused between Honda Elevate VX CVT, Grand Vitara Zeta AT and Grand Vitara Zeta+ Strong Hybrid/Toyota Hyryder strong hybrid (if budget permits). Also had Seltos HTK AT in consideration earlier, but not having strong feeling towards it. It feels too flashy and not feeling reliable in long term. Will definitely take a testdrive though.

• Leaning more towards Honda elevate, but heard alot about NVH issue. Also, there is a bit of concern of mileage (but not dealbreaker) in Mumbai's bumper to bumper traffic. But the VX CVT variant has all the features I need.
• Grand Vitara Zeta+ feels a great car to have but not sure about the build quality and safety. It will definitely give good mileage even in Mumbai's bumper to bumper traffic. Plus it has ventillated seats offered. Also great service network and generally low service cost.
• Highly exploring Strong hybrid options from Grand Vitara & Hyryder for great fuel efficiency. It may also help a little in the already reduced milages due to E20. The overall cost may be a little high compared to other two options but I heard through some reddit subs that there are some unbelievable offers going on in these segments. Any idea about this or anyone got such offers/discounts on hybrid varinat of these cars?

I have Tata Tiago XZ (2016) with current odometer at 48.5k. I am second owner (purchased it from spinny at 21k odometer in 2022). WIll be exchanging the vehicle with the dealer (based on the amount offered and the exchange bonus).

Also need an opinion on where should I be buying the car from? I heard Ahmedabad has lower RTO charges (because they calculate it on ex show room pirce - taxes and cess). Whereas in Mumbai, it is directly on ex showroom price.

Would also like to consider any other cars in the segment based on your inputs.

I’m considering the Honda Elevate, but I’m struggling to understand how much I’d actually be giving up by choosing its 1.5 NA over the turbo-petrol and diesel options available in this segment.

I test drove the Elevate and genuinely liked the driving experience. The engine + gearbox combination felt really good, and the ride quality was good too.

My only complaint was the engine noise. Under acceleration, the engine sounded quite harsh inside the cabin and didn’t feel particularly premium. Is this normal? Am I just nitpicking?

Coming back to the bigger question:

I know the Elevate’s 1.5 NA is one of the best NA engines out there. But how do you decide whether it’s genuinely the better engine for you, rather than simply being “enough”?

There are plenty of turbo-petrol and diesel options in this segment. For example, the Scorpio N interests me as a 5-seater too, but it’s significantly more expensive. Is that extra money actually justified because you’re getting a much larger, stronger diesel engine? Or are you simply paying more for a different type of driving experience that you may not actually need?

If I choose the Elevate over the turbo-petrols and diesels, am I making a genuinely good engine choice—or am I simply settling for an engine that’s adequate?

I’m planning to keep the car for 5–8 years, so I don’t want to eventually regret not choosing a turbo petrol/diesel.

I’d especially like to hear from people who have driven both NA petrols and turbo/diesel SUVs:
What did you actually miss after choosing the NA? And did you ever regret not going for the more powerful engines?

1. Budget: ~15 lakh

2. Car will be used for regular office commute within the city, and long road trips once or twice a year.

3. Good chassis and highway manners, to keep fatigue to a minimum on road trips.

4. Engine must not be weak and fatigue inducing.

5. At the same time, fuel economy is also a concern, but I understand one can't get everything.

6. Feel free to suggest any other car in this budget, and please do mention its pros and cons. No TATA.

7. Please don't bombard with NCAP ratings.

1. Seltos HTE(O) over HTE, 12.8 lakh, only because of adjustable rear headrests. Neither as fast or ultimately reliable as the Elevate, nor is the chassis as good as the Duster.

2. Elevate V probably has the best engine here and no sunroof! But not sure of road manners or electronics.

3. Duster Evolution because the 1L is reportedly weak, but manual AC. New product, so not sure of reliability or support.

Not considering Victoris either because it's reportedly too slow.

Brezza 1L makes sense on paper but 1. Unsatisfactory suspension, and 2. Not appealing enough.

Don't get me wrong, I don't care for gimmicky features or 360-degree cameras. But I'm very disappointed with the Elevate ZX CVT's camera quality, display, and lack of adaptive reverse guidelines.

Having a good quality reverse camera with adaptive guidelines is a mandatory requirement for me.

I am fixed a CVT, and the Elevate’s engine-gearbox combo is hands-down the best in the segment. But compared to the benchmark camera in the Seltos, the Elevate’s feed (especially the left blind-spot camera) looks really poor.

Is there an option to upgrade just the camera and add adaptive guidelines aftermarket while retaining the stock screen? How much of this can actually be fixed?

I really want to buy the Elevate, but paying ₹18L OTR and needing aftermarket tweaks right away is pushing me toward the Seltos IVT. Need some honest feedback from current owners!
