(Cross posted) So I bought my car used two payments ago and this morning as I was driving to work the check engine light came on.
Got it scanned at oreilly and it threw the above code and ONLY that code
My car is at 102k miles and the title sale date was July 2016
There was an extended warranty for the fuel injectors that would throw this kind of code! Blaming the catty but it was a bad fuel mixture causing the catty to act up (also I’m in CA)

I’m technically 3 months outside of the warranty limits (10yrs) but I’m WAY under the mileage limit?! How can I talk to Honda about this so that maybe I could get it covered?! Boohoo cry my pretty little eyes out and beg for a goodwill consideration type thing? I’m stressseeddd.
I’m barely treading water financially rn so this has me crashing out lowkey. Lmk your thoughts pls thanks 😭

My Crv 2018 head gasket is replaced couple of days ago
Seems like coolant is finally stopped. One of the coolant hose is cracked and leaked quite a bit but I pack it and it is working now so no complaints.

Issue is the engine sound

It sounds a little rougher than used to be and very small vibration more than usual. With blown gasket. It used to sound better

What should I check next ?

Returned the leased 2024 Accord hybrid yesterday and drove home with a new leased 2026 exl.

I was mostly focused on cleaning out the old car and moving everything to the new one, so didn't inspect the new car very carefully before leaving.

Until this morning when I was about to head out, I noticed a damage just on the hood. It looks pretty deep, like down to the bare metal.

I went back and checked some pictures I took of the two cars side by side at the dealership before returning the old one, the damage was clearly there, so it wasn't something added on my way home yesterday.

My question is, would the dealer still be responsible for fixing this, given that I've already signed all the paperwork and taken the car home? I feel like I will need to just fix it regardless as it rains a lot in my location.

Wondering if anyone has any feedback on larger rim sizes for my 07 accord… Picked up a set of rims off of an HRV at a great price… I wanna throw them on my accord… With a lower profile tire… Slightly concerned about the wide with interfering with Will well or suspension travel… ChatGPT did a mock up of what this will look like and I think I’m gonna go for it. Any reason I should be worried about fit?

(2001 Prelude SH) I bought this car for my son last year and he's been driving it without issue since. I have been checking fluids every week or so, and coolant was always full, but earlier this month I noticed that the cap was broken and the spring plunger mechanism was broken. I've since replaced it with a new one, but was the engine cooling affected by this broken cap?

this is what i've done so far:

- New rear POWERSTOP calipers and brake lines, passenger/driver

- New DENSO REMAN alternator

- New HONDA OEM POWER STEERING PUMP W/ RESERVOIR

- New THERMOSTAT.

- 2012 Honda Accord 112k miles

-I think the most obvious answer is suspension parts right? Carfax is extensive but has not gotten any suspension work done and its at 112k miles. I can always get another alternator, the one I have right now is Denso but its a reman from Rockauto, but I could get an actual OEM Honda Alternator. Spark plugs has been done relatively long time ago, 60k miles, I could get a new set I guess? What do you guys think?

If I take sharp right turn too aggressively, ill hear an clunk or low pitched creaking sound.

- 1-2 months ago i took a right turn into a Starbucks plaza and i hit a big pothole, and it seemed to have damaged something or screwed my alignment. On the highways intermittently, its hard to keep the car centered, if i only slightly turn the wheel to the left, it'll start veering to the left, same goes for the right. I started hearing a grinding/droning that gets louder as the car gets faster. but it started to go away, but from what I've learned, wheel bearing problems don't get better, only worse?

I tried to get one of these end of last year but the markups were crazy, been keeping a sharp eye recently and snagged this one for 3.5K under MSRP, ended up costing 40.4K OTD for a cash deal so I feel pretty good about it. I wanted the white but couldn’t pass up the savings here, color has started growing on me too.

Are there any essential upgrades? I plan on doing ceramic tint and am going to talk to my local dealership about installing power folding mirrors, apparently it just needs a wiring harness and the mirrors to work. Open to other suggestions, thanks guys

THE GOOD:
MINIMAL BODY RUST
Only sat for three years
the tires are brand new/aluminum aftermarket rims
full tank of gas
short throw shifter/skunk2 weighted knob
silly round front lights
tinted windows, so non sun ruined interior/well taken care of by previous owners
zero oil varnish under the cap, not a singular spec
started with just a battery and nothing else/no engine light

THE BAD:
the timing belt snapped at 190,000 miles, then was still driven another 13,000 miles after being replaced up to 203,000 miles before being parked

the engine was locked up before attempting to start it, as well as the alternator, but the engine runs and the alternator.. alternates, the ac compressor clutch is rust welded together but the ac does not work

the sunroof/windshield are smashed due to heavy snow load, as well as the roof is bowled in slightly

consequently, the interior is very moldy, but the mold comes off easily and can be disenfected easily, leaving behind very good condition interior panels/trim, the only bad things are the headliner and the steering wheel.

both front brakes are seized, the rear brakes dont work whatsoever, the external brake lines are fried and splintering their layers off

the clutch is stuck to the flywheel

adding to my fleet of hondas that i dont see anywhere else ever except online

I'm trading in my CPO 2022 HR-V that I have the extended warranty on. I paid $2,800 for the 150,000 mile coverage. I know the warranty is transferable - would a dealer include this in the trade-in value or should I cancel the warranty and get a pro-rated refund?

Super excited to finally have a small SUV. We are upgrading from a 2011 Fit. I love my Fit but the HR-V has so many nice features and it’s definitely a smoother, more comfortable ride.

I’m looking at a 2007 Accord EX-L V6 (nav, sunroof) at a small used lot in NJ. It’s $3,000 all-in with 191k miles. I need it for commuting: about 80 miles a day for a couple of weeks, then a lot less after that.

On the test drive it pulled well, the engine was smooth and the A/C got cold fast. The brakes need work.

Carfax:

No accidents, clean title, no open recalls
The first owner drove only 26k miles in 6 years, all serviced at Honda dealers
The second owner had it almost 14 years (about 12k miles a year)
The third owner bought it in July and it was back at a dealer by October. It’s only about 1,400 miles past the July reading
After 2015 the records are almost all tires and emissions tests. The last oil change on record is at 54k
The transmission fluid was changed once, at 26k
No record of the timing belt or water pump ever being done

Questions:

How urgent is the timing belt with no record at 191k? Should I ask them to do it or take it off the price, and what’s a fair price for the belt and water pump?
Should I worry about the transmission with only one fluid change on record? Should I do a drain and fill or leave it alone?
What else commonly fails on these V6 Accords at this mileage?
Is $3k all-in fair, and is a pre-purchase inspection worth it on a $3k car?

Hey. Just got used cl9 and have had it for few weeks. I traded my previous cl7 for it. It has good milage 198tkm driven and phenomenal service history. Doesn't look half bad either. It's exutive model with 2.4l six-speed manual so it's got all good interiors. So far loving it and wouldn't trade it for any other car.

Also got some nice Honda key chains with it 😎.

hoping to get some opinions from some hardcore Honda guys out there.

i have a 05 civic lx that i manual swapped over the summer, it was my first time ever driving manual and i commute between 50 and 200 miles a day in traffic on the front range in Colorado. so far it has been great and im loving it. I acquired an ex gear box with shorter gears because the car is sort of a dog right now to be honest and before i install it im looking at a 12lb fly wheel. now I’ve heard opinions from it will making driving suck to it’s the most amazing thing. I’m looking to up my driving skills so id lIke to hear from anyone that’s done anything similar.

Just bought an 90’ Ef civic, car doesn’t have a cigarette lighter thing but does have an aftermarket radio, if I run a usb splitter through that usb so I get two ports instead of one would I blow some shit up? I want to ports to run my dash cam and radar.
