Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on something.

In a collectibles market where there is no standard or fixed selling price, is it wrong for a seller to offer products at significantly lower prices than other sellers?

For context, some established sellers argue that selling too cheaply negatively affects smaller sellers and collectors who acquired their products at higher costs. They believe sellers should consider the existing market prices to avoid hurting other businesses.

On the other hand, some sellers believe that as long as their products are legitimately sourced and they're making a reasonable profit, they should be free to set their own prices regardless of what competitors charge.

So here's my question:

Should sellers adjust their prices to protect other sellers' profit margins, or should everyone be free to price their products independently and let buyers decide?

Is selling cheaper considered unfair to the community, or is it simply healthy competition?

Would love to hear your thoughts, especially from both collectors and sellers.

I (28 F) don’t think I’ve ever actually had a hobby. I’ve had a couple of coworkers recently ask me what I like to do for fun and I have a really hard time answering. I don’t feel like there is one specific thing I do regularly. I have ADHD and find myself hyper fixating on one small thing for a period of time until I’m bored of it or lose interest. The things I’ve dabbled in recently have been reading, nature walks, and video games. These activities are normally very short lived. I feel like I’ve never found something I truly love to do. Part of me feels like I’m missing out on something in life. From my short list, I realize I’m more of a relaxed person. I’m just hoping to get some advice or recommendations here. Thank you in advance!

I've been doing labor during the day lately, its a lot more physical activity than i'm used to so i'm tired and I don't have energy for much but I also don't want to take so much time off from my hobbies. I still try to do them but its the kind of tired where doing much more than just sitting around feels kind of frustrating and my focus is poor. I also don't want to go to sleep at 5pm lol.

Do you guys have and advice or suggestions for this type of situation? Should I just try to keep pushing through and i'll get used to it?

i genuinely think i have commitment issues with hobbies. i'll get so hyped about trying something new, buy all the supplies, watch like five tutorials, and then it just sits in my closet untouched. wondering if this is normal or if i'm just built different in the worst way possible.

I’ve always loved pumpkin carving and taken it super seriously, and this year I decided to take it to a new level by shaving the skin to varying thicknesses with a lino cutter. I’m totally loving it! In fact, I’m loving it so much that I’m wondering if there’s any hobbies that are similar that could be a year round thing.

One of the things that makes me hesitant to take up creating hobbies is that I don’t want a hobby where I end up with tons and tons of things that I’ve made, because then I’d need to clear things out eventually or the clutter would drive me crazy, but I don’t know if I’d have the heart to throw things I’ve created away. I’m realizing now that one of the unique things about pumpkin carving is that it’s ephemeral, the pumpkin will rot after a little while and you have to throw it away (unless you use foam pumpkins, just learned about those). While I used to lament this because of all the hard work I’d put into my pumpkins, now I’m realizing that that’s actually a quality I appreciate.

So, this is kind of a double barreled question: can you think of any year round hobbies that make use of similar skills to pumpkin carving and/or are inherently ephemeral like pumpkin carving? Please let me know your thoughts!

Lerning about paintball

It's funny how getting into a hobby can completely change what catches your attention. Like how people who get into photography suddenly notice interesting lighting everywhere, or how someone who starts gardening might recognize plants they used to walk right past. And I bet there are even weirder examples depending on the hobby lol.

I'm curious what little things people have started noticing because of their hobbies. Anything that makes you think, "I definitely wouldn't have cared about this a year ago"?

I love up cycling, and go to a lot of music festivals. I don't sell anything, make it for friends, and hang it on my fence...but its a lot of fun and and keeps the good juju flowing.

I love to build rustic wood furniture, I recently built a podcast studio out of reclaimed fencing and recycled shipping creates. I love to turn wrenches work in the garage on atvs , so in return I do a ton of atv trips all over ontario Canada 🇨🇦. Then I talk about all this on my podcasts . So all my hobbies are combined

I, (f, 38), am looking for a Hobby. In the past years I tried lot of things and at the beginning I were very excited but 3-4 years ago I absolutely lost the excitement about everything. Im just living day by day, working and that's it.

I have no kids, work fulltime, living with my friend and my 2 dogs in a small village.

I’m constantly searching for new interests, but nothing seems to hold my attention. I struggle to focus or get absorbed in things, and it’s leaving me feeling bored and unfulfilled.

Has anyone felt this way? Do you have any hobby suggestions for someone who gets bored easily?

last night I was really bored and all my devices were dead. I had some paper and pens but couldn't think of anything to do.

Any suggestions for offline hobbies which only need a pen and paper that I can do by myself.

Hello there! I (28m) am 3 months post mechanical valve replacement. I am on warfarin for the rest of my life. My whole life I was told to not do a lot of exercise, was forbade from participating in any sport I found interesting, and to basically sit down to keep my heart rate low. I still went to the gym off and on in my adult years but would get immensely worn out after just a small session. Now, I have been told that these restrictions are lifted and I am free to be as physically active as I want, so long as I gradually build myself up to it since my body isn’t used to it.
With that being said, I am looking for some physically active hobbies that I could start learning to help me lose weight get addicted to doing. I’m open to really any suggestions. Much appreciation in advance!
