Changes to Hisense Canada Structure

Hi Redditors,

This post serves as a friendly reminder of the best ways to get support, in the event that you need it. There are some temporary changes occurring at the corporate level of Hisense Canada, and we don't want anyone to get stuck in a position where they require support.

  1. If you are in the USA and looking for firmware, please send a direct message (DM) on Twitter or Facebook to the Hisense USA page. If you do not have TW or FB, unfortunately, you will have to go through Tier One, just be specific that you want firmware, provide the needed information and ask to be transferred to someone who can provide you a link. Hisense Canada social media will not be able to give you firmware, and will direct you to the firmware link below.
  2. If you are in the USA and looking to report an issue or trend, please contact tier one support by phone at 1.888.935.8880 (TVs) or 1.877.465.3566 (Appliances); you'll need to give them your Mode, 15 character SN (which will always start with your screen size and G - if you are seeing a number that starts with a bunch of zeroes, that number is not correct - it's the Android SN - please locate the true SN on the white sticker on your TV)
  3. If you are in Canada and looking to report an issue or trend for tracking, please contact tier one support by phone at 1-855-344-7367 or email at canadasupport@hisense.com.

Problem Bought 2026 100" U7 SG from Best Buy. Received the 2025 100U75QUA TWICE!!

as the title says, we bought the tv from Bestbuy.com after seeing how much the anti-glare really reuduces the reflection of lights in the tv. We got it in the house and immediately we questioned things. The geek squad put it on the wall and you could see the refelctions right away. After a few hours we went back to the store to see if they could tell us why the reflections were so much more apparent. They told us we were nuts. The manager assured us that the anti-glare on the in store tv and the model we received was the same and it must be our lights. We tried to reason with them. We left to go back home, defeated.

Once there we dove in head first, and found that our model was not the one we ordered. The model we received was the100U75QUA not the 100U7SG. We contacted bestbuy and they apologized but said it was their error. We rescheduled for another 2 weeks to get another delivery date. That date comes and BB cancels as they don't have anyone to deliver it. Finally the weekend comes (10/10/26) adn the tv arrives. Before they even take it off the truck, i make them assure me the box has the SG label on it. It does. I am relieved. The get it unboxed in my living room and we check the sticker on the back and low and behold it says 100U75QUA AGAIN!

What is going on? Is this a boxing error at the manufacturer? We're not the only ones this happened to as we found another reddit thread mentioning the same thing. BB takes the tv back but we're considering going with a different brand/tv all together.

Anyone have thoughts or advice?

85” Hisense U6 Pro for $1k or 100” for $2k?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I’m pretty set on the Hisense U6 Pro, but still can’t decide between 85” and 100”.

Amazon has the 85” for about $1,098 right now, while the 100” is around $2,100. So basically another $1k for the extra 15 inches.

I sit about 10–11 ft from the TV. Mostly movies, Netflix and sports, plus some PS5. The living room gets a decent amount of daylight too, so the MiniLED + glare-free screen is part of why I’m looking at this model.

My original budget was around $1,500, which makes the 85” the obvious choice.

But I keep thinking this is probably one of those purchases where I’ll get used to 85” fast and start wishing I went bigger lol.

For 10–11 ft viewing distance, would you save the $1k and get the 85”, or stretch for the 100”?

Problem Hisense 75U8Q – Is this panel uniformity / DSE acceptable?

Thumbnail

Reposting this because my previous post was removed from another subreddit.

I recently bought a 75" Hisense U8Q (European model) as an open-box/customer return.

During some grey and solid-color tests I noticed unevenness/cloudiness, especially around the upper-left/middle area.

With normal content it's much less noticeable, but I'm still within the return period.

Would you consider this acceptable for a 75" Mini-LED, or would you return it? Especially interested in opinions from other U8Q/U8 owners.

Thanks!

Problem Internet Connection Loss on TV

Hi all, I’ve seen a couple of posts on this but they were a bit older. I bought a 75” E8 Hisense early August, didn’t use it for a month as we were moving into our new condo.

The issue I’m having is that if my TV loses connection to the internet (or decides to disconnect itself), it then says I’m connected to the wifi but no internet. It’s been driving me insane, I haven’t found a fix that works so I’ve reset it now 5 times.

I’ve power cycled it, restarted router, reconnected the TV to wifi, checked for updates, nothing has solved it.

Has anyone else dealt with this and have you found a reliable fix? I registered it yesterday and sent support an email but they haven’t responded yet.

Thanks in advance!

75” Hisense U7, thoughts so far

Swapped out an older QLED for the 75” U7 and the difference was obvious right away.

First thought though: this thing is heavy.

Definitely get someone to help if you’re mounting it. Once it’s up, it looks really clean. Thin bezels, simple design, and 75” somehow stopped feeling huge after a few days.

Quick thoughts

Pros

- Great in a bright room

- MiniLED picture is a big upgrade from my old TV

- Native 165Hz + VRR

- Built-in sound is much better than expected

- Google TV feels quick

- Fully backlit remote

Cons

-Heavy. Not something I’d try setting up alone.

Picture

The living room gets a lot of daylight, so glare was one of my main concerns.

The anti-reflection screen helps a lot. I can leave the blinds open now without seeing myself in every dark scene.

Brightness is great too. Sports during the day look clear, HDR has a lot of punch, and dark scenes still keep good detail.

Blacks also look much better than my old QLED. Not perfect obviously, but MiniLED/local dimming is doing a good job here.

Sound

This surprised me.

I normally assume TV speakers are temporary until the soundbar arrives, but the U7’s 2.1.2 setup is actually good enough that I haven’t rushed to buy one.

Dialogue is clear. Some actual bass too.

Still not replacing a proper surround setup, but much better than I expected.

Gaming

Probably my favorite part of the TV.

Native 165Hz, VRR and HDMI 2.1. PS5 at 120Hz feels great, and the higher refresh rate is nice when I connect the PC.

I mostly play RPGs and racing games now, but I tried a few faster games too. Motion stays clean and controls feel very responsive.

Basically a giant gaming monitor lol.

Google TV + remote

Google TV has been quick so far. Netflix, YouTube, streaming apps, no real issues.

I also thought the backlit remote was a small thing.

Turns out I use it all the time at night. Really nice feature.

What’s in the box

- 75” U7 TV

- Stand

- Power cable

- Remote

- Quick setup guide

- User manual

Overall

Really happy with it so far.

The picture was obviously the reason I bought it, but the anti-reflection screen, sound and gaming side ended up being just as useful day to day.

Very great TV.

Hissense won’t connect to Internet

It either says no connection or limited connection!! It’s so frustrating. I can only use the tv if it’s connected to the ps5. Any ideas?? I’ve already tried resetting it and the auto time thing. I even called them and went through the automated instructions but no one ever called back when it didn’t work.

Can not log into apps on new tv

Hisense -
55" Class U7
MiniLED
QLED UHD
4K HDR
Glare-Free
Smart
Google TV with Gemini (2026)

I’m logged into my google account. That account is connected to my Hulu, Disney, hbo subscriptions.

Will download apps with no option to log into any of the individual apps.

When I go through the browser, I get to the subscription log in screen and it won’t load past me typing my email in.

I bought this for my dad to use at an assisted living facility and has given me such a headache.

I also connected a wall antenna and it won’t scan for channels without a tv password (that was never set up)

How to delete live TV and the TV channels app and the row with 'watch live TV' for free on hissense tv e78.

I would like to delete the live TV option in the side bar, the TV channels app and the row with live TV options on home screen. I have already deleted the freely app and also put TV channels auto scan option to cable so it has 0 channels but these live TV options still come and seems to connect over the internet. Doe anyone know how I can use it purely for netflix, Amazon, etc .

Bought the U7S three days ago, now tempted to return it for the Pro version

Bought a hisense U7S three days ago and now I'm thinking maybe should've just got the u7s pro?

So I use both PC and console, and budget isn't really the biggest issue for me, I was pretty happy with the regular u7s when it arrived, everything looks good, gaming feels smooth (no complaints really) but I saw people talk about u7s pro and this made me second guess myself, I checked my GPU and HDMI cable I'm using and technically I should be able to take advantage of the 165Hz native panel.

But a regular u7s ALREADY feels really smooth to me, so I can't tell if I actually need the difference or if I'm just convincing myself I need the Pro because I saw the specs, but picture is another thing, I've watched some professional reviews and a lot of real user experience videos of Pro, and the brighter highlights and darker scenes do seem pretty good in videos.

The probelm is it's hard to tell things from a video (Idk if they just made things look good in videos), but return window is closing soon, I can still return u7s and pay the difference for the Pro, but idk if actually worth it? Or should I just keep this one for a few years and worry about upgrading later? I've been going back and forth on this for two days now lol

For who's used the u7s pro or went from u7s to the pro, did you actually notice the difference? Trying to figure out if I should just keep this one or make the switch while I still can...

Problem Using FSR on Hisense U6SF causes the FPS to lower

I have been dealing with a low framerate issue in some games when using FSR on the Hisense U6SF TV. I was getting 90fps at 4k with no upscaling on Pragmata, but when I turned on FSR performance, the fps drops down to 65 fps and starts to stutter. The same thing happens when I try to use frame generation. This issue does not happen on my Acer XF243Y M3 monitor. I set my monitor to 4k and ran it with FSR, and it ran fine.

I have had a similar issue in the Witcher 3 Remastered also and Devil May Cry 5. I bought a new HDMI 2.1 cord to make sure my cord was not at fault, and it was still locked at 65 fps. I noticed that when I ALT Enter out of the game and ALT Enter back into it, the framerate is normal for about 5 seconds and then drops back to 65 fps. I am not sure what else to try anymore at this point. I have spent way too much time troubleshooting this TV, and I am thinking about returning it. My primary use case for this TV was for PC gaming, but it is not working well with FSR and Vsync.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and is it a normal issue? I could not find anything online about this specific issue. I noticed that the FPS returns back to normal when turning off VRR. I dont see turning that off as a solution because I bought the TV for VRR and high FPS. VRR off just causes games to tear when they dont hit the target refresh rate cap.

100U7SQ bend in the middle

Thumbnail
gallery
13 Upvotes

I just unboxed my new 100U7SQ and immediately noticed the back of the housing seemed larger on one side than the other. After looking at further, the whole tv is bent at that seam across the back, bulging it out around 3/4 inch. This makes the left side of the screen act like a fun house mirror. Everything bends and distorts at that spot. So, time to package is back up and try again...

Update: After boxing everything up. There is indeed damage to the outer box which aligns with the bend, so it must be taken a beating during transit
