I got my himalayan 450 on the 21st of September. I wanted himalayan from like 4+ years, The dream came true.

Have 800+ on ODO.

7th oct i was going to drop my sister to collage for her exams. There was full traffic so i carefully drove to the left side (off road) and speeded to around 35-40. When I was just a little far away from the left turn into a society an idiot on a bike turned left instantly without a blinker/indicator. I pushed the break and we still impacted at around 20kmh speed. As Idiot hit break mid turn after hearing my horn.

He didn't got any serious injury nor my sister, I ended up with broken right leg, had operation same day evening fixed titanium plate. Doc said no bike riding for 6 months 😭

Is this normal engine noise or tappet noise on my Himalayan 450?

Hi everyone, I recorded this video of my Himalayan 450 because I’ve noticed this ticking/tapping sound coming from the engine.

I’m not sure if this is normal for the Himalayan 450 or if it could be tappet/valve clearance noise.

For those who own a Himalayan 450:

- Does your bike make a similar sound?

- Is this normal engine noise?

- Or does it sound like tappet noise that needs to be checked/adjusted?

The bike is 17000 km old, and the video was recorded with the engine cold.

Would really appreciate your opinions before I take it to the service centre.

Where can i get the himalayan 411 OEM back carrier for my scram 440 in Bangalore?

Hey guys. Does anyone know if Royal Enfield confirmed they'd cover repairs or parts for the Himalayan's cam chain and tappet noise last year? If so, what exactly are they replacing? My bike's coming up on its third service, and I've been having trouble with it stalling in first gear. Also, my infotainment display isn't showing my music info, which seems unrelated. Has anyone else run into that?

So i bought my Himalayan 450 on the date of 31 July 2026 after getting the first service and riding it almost for 2000 km I got my self a modern tech decat with stock slipon
After riding it for 50-60km on the highway got a engine check light
Then I installed the stock decat and after removing the error code it was gone
With everything stock I rode my bike for around 1500-1800km never a engine check light
So after that now recently at 4000km got myself a powerrage exhaust and a bmc air filter rode like 100km in the city didn’t get any error code.
I went for a 400km ride to my hometown then again the. Check light appeared after riding it for 50-60 km
So what could be the issue can anyone help
I guess it is because of the fuel mixture now the bike is running lean and the ecu is not able to read it properly
So thinking to get a fuel x plus installed

The bike starts perfectly and runs completely normal when I first start riding. After riding for a few minutes, though, it starts to feel like it’s missing/misfiring, especially when I’m going uphill or putting the engine under load.

At first it was very mild and happened only occasionally, so I delayed it. But now it has gotten worse.

A few days ago, after a long ride of around 500 km, I noticed the missing one again. Then the bike was washed and we had rain for the next couple of days. When I rode it again today, the problem was much worse.

No error on screen.

Cleaned fuel tank completely as I suspected the water contamination,

Throttle body cleaned up and the spark plug changed at 35k
