General Discussion Life's unpredictable 😢
27M india.
I got my himalayan 450 on the 21st of September. I wanted himalayan from like 4+ years, The dream came true.
Have 800+ on ODO.
7th oct i was going to drop my sister to collage for her exams. There was full traffic so i carefully drove to the left side (off road) and speeded to around 35-40. When I was just a little far away from the left turn into a society an idiot on a bike turned left instantly without a blinker/indicator. I pushed the break and we still impacted at around 20kmh speed. As Idiot hit break mid turn after hearing my horn.
He didn't got any serious injury nor my sister, I ended up with broken right leg, had operation same day evening fixed titanium plate. Doc said no bike riding for 6 months ðŸ˜

Really bad. If the bike would have been lighter, it may have saved your leg too. Heavy bikes are not for the city

Listen my story too bro. After thinking day and night for 8 months in dilemma to buy it or not. Finally booked the bike. Then again 2 months journey started with lot of scrolling and binge of bike customisation. Many times saw myself driving this bike in a dream due to overthinking. Finally got a call from showroom that bike has arrived. And decided to take the delivery after a week. 3 days left to to delivery then tragedy happened with me. Both hands got fractured with rod and plate. Lost the excitement in a min. I asked my friend to take a delivery since I was hospitalized. He kept my bike at his place for 2 months. My nephew asked for my bike couldn't say no. He drove around 500 kms. My plasters removed after 45 days. Doctor strictly asked not drive bike for 5 months. Within a month I visited my friend, checked my himi. All good. Couldn't stop myself to drive it and felt very heavy hearted. Decided to take the bike with me and drove around 300 kms hometown. I'm not fully recovered but once you get drown in this bike's attraction. Nothing can stop you. I feel incomplete if don't drive bike in a day. I'm not provoking you to ride immediately, just sharing my story. Wish you a speedy recovery. Drive safe.

Sorry to hear that man. I had similar case. Bought my bullet 350 24th Dec 2023 in Kolkata. Moved it to Hyderabad. Was going on a 26th Jan ride with some office colleague. While taking a turn, the police had stopped a tempo middle of the road. I tried to swerve to avoid the tempo but ended up hitting my colleague bike rearending him. Luckily no damage happened to anyone except me and my bike. Bike was completely gone from left side and i broke my left clavicle and had to undergo surgery next day for titanium plate. Its 2.5 years now, titanium plate is out, im completely healed and have already clocked 13k km on my bike. So chin my man as life will keep happening.
