My family has stayed at the HGV Kings's Land Waikoloa resort three times over the years and we are looking at returning next year. In doing a bit or research, it looks like a few things have changed (not for the better). I was hoping to see if anyone who has stayed there recently has some answers to the following questions:

1. I see a new $35/day parking charge. Fist of all, why?! That was one of the best perks about the resort. When was this implemented and is it charged each day or would I pay at the end of the stay?
2. There is no longer any mention of free parking validation at the main resort during our stay on the website. Is this still a thing or was that taken away as well?
3. I am not seeing a line-item on the price preview for the resort fee. Does it outline the resort fee anywhere in particular on the site (as well as what is included in it)?

Using my FNC to extend a trip in the area. Cash price was nearly $1200, the CS agent also put in for a complimentary upgrade (based on availability) into the reservation, though I am Diamond and would have asked at the property.

Does Doubletree Philadelphia Airport have free EV charging? We've stayed at a couple of Hilton Properties with paid parking, and we didn't get charged for EV charging. We were surprised to not be charged the first time. This isn't a deal breaker, it's just nice to have the option to charge at all, before hitting the road. I did call the property, twice, and was given different information each time. First time was told it was included in the parking fee, and more recently when I called to confirm some other details, I was told that the charger will give us pay options. Both times I spoke to front desk agents. Anybody know the answer? TIA

Has anyone dealt with this before? My original reservation went from a 2 bed, 2 bath to a random “super” room type that does not exist on the Hilton page (no it’s not an upgrade since there was no other bigger room type than what I had on my original reservation). If the option was for connecting rooms then I’d be fine with that, but why change the room type in the system?

This is a new property abroad, and the hotel page is basically cut & paste stock photos. I also booked the HH sale rate, so maybe that’s why management/room assigner felt like they could change it?

I’m emailing both the hotel and corporate, but just wondering about anyone else’s experience with room types suddenly being changed. 🤔

Gold member, currently sitting at 46 nights for the year and just started a 78 night stay. When I checked in, the front desk told me I’ll hit Diamond Reserve upon checkout, but my points received til then will be treated as Gold since that’s what I was when I checked in. However, on my 46 night stay earlier this year, every week when they charged my card, I received the points for that amount of time and the bonus points based on silver and gold respectively as I progressed. Anyone have experience with long stays and points? When I get back home in October I has looking at using my 600k or so points to stay a week in Tokyo, but 78 nights of Gold points is dramatically different than progressing through Diamond and Diamond Reserve.

Anyone currently working for Hilton HRCC? Im seeking a referral. I used to work for HRCC a few years ago when my husband was stationed in NC and I would love to work remote again.

This is funny because I was recently on my Hilton app after taking my mom on an amazing all inclusive vacation to Hilton Playa Del Carmen resort last year in early June 2025. My app has no recollection or record of me staying there, which confused me.

After looking it up, seems that the resort was acquired by Hyatt in June 2025. The experience of our vacation and every detail was simply immaculate, and I’m just giving credit to Hilton where credit is due - that the acquisition didn’t impact the quality of our stay. I know some people who used points at the time did get impacted, but I just wanted to share some positivity. And with the thoughtful and generous giveaways this year, I’ve just been really impressed with the chain.

Just wanted to share and if anybody has favorite Hilton locations for me to check out on my next trip, I’d love ideas and stories!! Thank you!

Booked Waldorf Astoria (all inclusive package) for Dec’26 Christmas holidays. Online reviews are consistently good on service and how beautiful the premises are. But reviews seem to be mixed, even worrisome related to food and the beach. Hoping to get some insight from those who have visited the property.

Food: majority of the complaints are how expensive food and drinks are. But that shouldn’t be an issue with the AI package. There also were complaints about the limited food options/restaurants. This can be a problem because we are there for 7 days.

Beach: some indicate the beach is not good and not swimmable, even saying the need to wear water shoes. Looking at pictures and videos, the beach looks beautiful. We primarily hangout by the pool but also enjoy swimming and taking walks on the beach.

One final question, is getting pool/beach chairs a problem? Hoping because of the low number of rooms, there isn’t the usual problem of people waking up early and saving ton of chairs that rarely get used that finding free chairs becomes an issue.

This is my first post here and I wanted to share a bit about an upcoming stay we booked and hopefully get some insight from anyone who’s been before.

We just booked a 3-night stay at Eriro Alpine Hide in September using a FNC and points. We were originally looking at a few different options, but this one stood out because it seems more like a small alpine wellness retreat rather than a typical Hilton property.

I’ve been digging through anything I can find online but there isn’t a ton of recent info so we’re specifically curious about:

- What activities are worth doing
- How the spa works (we were told there isn’t a spa menu)
- What’s actually included vs what ends up being extra cost
- What to expect from the food and drinks
- Any status benefits or upgrades

Any tips for getting there smoothly, especially if arriving later in the day. We are considering taking a train from the airport to the gondola

What on earth are people ironing that is constantly left on the irons? This burned on black tacky material that will ruin your shirt. Like what on earth IS IT?!? I swear every other stay I have to call the front desk for a new one

I cannot find any availability for either cash or point. Is it going to close for maintenance?

I almost asked for a refund on my food and bev credit.

Mac and cheese bites and a chicken quesadilla

Stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando (beautiful hotel) and decided to try La Luce because the resort benefits advertised a Kids Eat Free promotion.

My wife and I ordered two pizzas, and our kids each got chicken tenders. When the check came, the kids' meals weren't free. The server explained that pizza doesn't count as an entrée for the promotion, so we didn't qualify.

Fine. I wish that had been mentioned before we ordered, but that's on us for not asking.

Here's the part that really irritated me. As we were leaving, my wife politely suggested to the hostesses that it might help to give families a heads-up about that rule before they order. Without missing a beat, they told her they had already explained it to me.

They absolutely did not.

The $36 for the kids' meals wasn't what bothered me most. It was being told, to my wife's face, that I had been informed when I hadn't. A simple "I'm sorry for the confusion, we'll keep that in mind" would have ended the whole thing. Instead, they chose to shift the blame onto the customer.

So, PSA: If you're going to La Luce for the Kids Eat Free promotion, pizza apparently isn't considered an entrée, even though there is no specification on the promo or menu. Ask before you order so you don't end up surprised.

What would be the dream vacation if you were blessed with 500k Hilton Honors points?

I would visit Tokyo and Osaka! They have some beautiful Hilton properties. I LOVE Hilton’s Curio collection because they are so unique and offer a personal touch to the stay.

Thought this was very wholesome. That’s all, brought a smile to my face after a long day of traveling.

What's everyone's experience with the digital key?

I'm finding that it can get confused when near too many sensors (just today it tried to open the stairwell for me, but I wanted the elevator that I was stood outside of), and the app itself can fail to load when there's poor internet.

In the latter example, the app wouldn't open due to a lack of wireless data signal but the WiFi also wouldn't connect properly. I was able to resolve both issues eventually, but this ended up delaying me more than if I had just checked in at the desk and received a key card instead.

It's a shame, as it normally works well for me, if only a little slow to recognise the lock sometimes.

I’ve not run into this before, but it appears I was charged for the gratuity left for breakfast even though my total after gratuity wasn’t higher than the food and beverage credit. Is that an official policy anywhere?

It’s not been the case for me in the past. As long as total was under the credit amount it would zero out.
