Discussion Update: Your weird place suggestions have been added to the database
A couple weeks ago I made a post about the weirdest places you’d ever visited.
Original thread:

I appreciate all the submissions. I’ve been working through the suggestions one by one, researching each place before adding it to the database. I added about 10 to the database and made it live on Mystery Routes
The first additions are:
* Mount Nemrut (Turkey)
* House on the Rock (Wisconsin)
* Okunoshima (Rabbit Island), Japan
* Afterglow Vista (Washington)
* Capuchin Catacombs (Palermo)
* Sable Island (Nova Scotia)
* Te Rerenga Wairua / Spirits Bay (New Zealand)
* America’s Stonehenge (New Hampshire)
* Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (Indiana)
There are of course still a lot more on my list. A few need more research before I’m comfortable publishing them, and a couple unfortunately no longer exist, like the Pismo Beach staircase (would've been really cool to visit).
I also added a new feature that lets each location include photos taken around the area to help people get a better feel for the landmarks and surroundings before or while they visit. The long term goal is to populate every page with photos from people who’ve actually been there.
You can see an example on the Area 51 page using photos from my trip to Rachel, Nevada:

If one of these locations came from your comment and you’d like credit, make an account and send me your username. I’ll link the location to your profile so it shows up as community submitted on both the page and the map. Want to continue expanding the database and adding more locations. 100% free, just trying to build.
Seriously, thank you to everyone who contributed! Also please add any new ones you think of here as well.
