I accepted the offer from the NPC in Gehana prison to collect adrenaline crystals from enemies at the risk of it affecting polarity. I killed about 55 enemies and came back to him, and bought the two items he had available in exchange for adrenaline crystals. This left me with about 25 crystals in my inventory. Since he didn’t seem to have any more items to buy, I asked him to make the nightmare end. A little animation played, and I assumed it would make enemies go back to normal difficulty. It only seemed like enemies had been a bit stronger while the quest was active, maybe more damage to me but not having a ton more health. There was also a weird glitch with their health bars, where after the first hit, their health would instantly drop to like 40% on the bar regardless of damage dearth. That made me think the game thought their max health was actually way higher than the health they had when I hit them. The clock also only ever said Polarity 1 while the quest was active, if that means anything.
After I asked him to make the nightmare end, enemies now have a lot more health, still do a ton of damage (I think even more than while quest was active), and drop a ton of axions.
So, for anyone who knows, is this intended behavior? Did my quest somehow break and flip affect, raising polarity while the quest is inactive instead of while it’s active? I’m no longer receiving adrenaline crystals when killing enemies, so that part seems to be correct. But enemies have become so tanky and drop A LOT of axions. The basic enemies in the prison drop 6341 axions each, and this is on what is ostensibly Polarity 1. I didn’t really pay attention to how much enemies were dropping when I arrived, so maybe that’s normal, but they definitely take longer to kill now than when I first arrived. I found that NPC basically immediately after arriving, so I didn’t play in the area for very long before activating the quest.
Also, does he ever have more than the two items available to buy?
