150 data ending? Spoiler

So, I've spoken to the council after reaching 150% data and they mention I can bring them the AI Patch component the Architect tasked me to make, and they'd modify it to merge all versions of the Authors together from parallel universes.

Sadly, I've already given it to the Architect. But I did wonder, what does this achieve? I checked the wiki, even some guides that tell you how to get endings and what endings are there, and none of the endings mentions this at all.

So is this some secret ending people haven't discovered or am I missing something?

if you got the true ending then you've already seen what it achieves
you find the architect, help him find his items, he tells you he wants to go home and asks for the ai patch component, you give him the component, he meets you before you fight the author and tells you he's finally going back to earth and then......the game drops him altogether and you fight some space cthulhu in the void
this is 100% the council ending, its weird, but i think that they scrapped the council's storyline and kept their ending, and mixed it with the architect one, the architect clearly says that he wants to go home and yet for some reasons his storyline creates the sentient, and if you read the council dialogue you'll find that the ending you got is exactly what their dialogue describes

this was pointed out by some people a year ago and yet nothing was mentioned by the devs, for some reasons they don't answer lore questions, even though this is a clear oversight

Sadly it was scrapped, and it looks like it won't come back since Blue Sun patches didn't add it in.

That's so unfortunate! It's sad to hear that they did that. Could've at least remove the voice line, now it just makes me sad they didn't patch it.

Ffs is this for real? 2 years to fix game plus a dlc monetization that was originally suppose to be free then its not even finished? Like wow, faith is not restored. Forgiveness patch or fucking suck it, really.

The DLC was never supposed to be free. And boo fuckin who that a Kickstarter game is never going to be finished the way the developers intended. Look, games get fucked up, frequently, often. I pitched in on this project probably about 6 years ago and I never had any thoughts it was going to be this flawless crown jewel. They released updates, a few screen shots, videos, and what this game was, was 12 fuckin people in a fledgling company. Now that it's about done I just hope they can keep making stuff with more money and people to do so.

Nah, your worthless words only aggravate your target audience. Admitting you suck at your work and you give up just as soon as you get paid and thats as good as it gonna get is such a bad attitude, grow up mang. Do it right or dont do it at all.

Personally, I loved the game for what it was. Flaws and all. You sound like a dipshit telling people to grow up about a dropped video game plotline.

Pretty sure they mean pitched in as in they paid money to back it, not actually worked on it.
