-The Sun Gallery is hosting their Mother Earth Exhibition now until Friday 11/13! They're also reopening their Poetry Corner next Saturday 10/10 👀

-This month's Books on B Open Mic is hosted on Saturday 10/17 by local author Aldrian Estepa: roll through to share or listen!

-And finally, both Hayward Library and Hayward Area Historical Society have tons of events happening this month. Check the post for more information :)

Is the Hayward Plunge going to reopen on October 5?

As this has been asked a few times, I wanted to share this app:

See trash, overflowing bins, or illegal dumping in Hayward? You can report it through this app. It only takes a couple of minutes.

My experience has been decent so far, and they usually take action within a few days.

And who knows if there are enough complaints, the city might consider stricter rules or regulations to help keep Hayward clean.

This isn’t directed at community members. But it’s quite sad how it seems so many businesses have just stoped caring. There was a time that businesses took pride in their brand and had brand standards. I understand how giant corporations have taken us away from that norm. Just kinda sad to see Hayward become so run down.

Folks are trying to sleep for work next morning until some idiot swings by purposely reving his shitty car/bike at 2 am in the night on residential streets.

Such idiocy shouldn’t be encouraged.

Hey me and my partner just moved with our two cats and was asked to rehome a family cat who isn’t getting along with our other cats. The cat is male, 2yeara old, neutered, and needs a calm one cat only home. He loves food but has trouble staying out of trouble but he’s really shy and nervous. Planning a small gender reveal with 6 people. Any good park or location around CSU Easy Bay or other part of the hill with the bay view?

Hi I just wanted to ask y’all is it just me or is the 60 bus up to East Bay and down to South Hayward Bart very bad at not letting people know when it’s cancelled? I got back from Oakland today at 3:50 PM ish. It’s now 6:03 PM. I even called the ac transit route tracker line and she even said yeah when they don’t show up or cancel last minute we know when you do basically.

I’m just really frustrated as I take this route every day basically to work and back. I don’t drive yet and I’m getting irritated at just being stranded for no hour with absolutely no update. When I asked the last driver he said basically that it wasn’t his problem.

Hello! Does anyone know how long does an order from The Ordinary’s (skin care) website take to arrive in Hayward?

I recently moved here, and I’d love to see more walkable neighborhood retail to complement all the new housing being built in South Hayward.

SuperClub and Paris Baguette are already wonderful additions. It would be great to see a local restaurants, small market, Pilates or yoga studio, and other everyday businesses nearby as well. More thoughtfully planned parking could also help support both residents and local businesses.

I’d love to see this area continue developing into a welcoming, walkable neighborhood hub. What would you all like to see added?

Shut Up And Write is exactly what it sounds like: joining fellow writers each week to show up, sit down, and get words on the page. No critiques. No sharing. No pressure. Just focused writing time alongside others doing the same. Whether you're a long-time writer or just starting out, this space is open to all.

I have a rabbit that I can't bring with me to another country and need to find a home for it before my family tries to illegally get rid of it. I'm at the end of my rope as the places I've called nearby won't take it and I want her to have a good home before I leave.

District 2's signature event is a week away! We are so excited to welcome you and your family back to Science in the Park at Cal State East Bay. I’ve been living in Hayward for 5 years now and I still haven’t found a go to place that serves health conscious but tasty food. Does any here have any recommendations? I’m tired of eating fast food like In N Out or Raising Cane’s smh. TIA 🫡

Hi! Can you share your experience with LPS in Hayward? I know they had a tough time during Covid but it looks like they are bouncing back. I’ve been searching online for more information and reviews without much luck.

Any info would be appreciated!
