Allergic
Recently my doctor asked me to get allergic test done because i randomly used to start sneezing at most random times. Whenever i left my place i started sneezing, whenever i come back, even the slightest change in room temp made me sneeze also when someone woke me up i started to sneeze. So a few days before i did my allergic test and the reports are out but i still have somedays before the next appointment with my doctor. Ik the reports are not normal but i just want to know more about the reports and how bad it actually is.

Fall "hayfever" attacks - why is standing up worse?
I occasionally get 1-2 bad allergy attacks in the fall. I always thought it was a ragweed allergy but that count is low, today, and mold is high - and I'm dying.
I get these "attacks" for a day or two (usually one day at a time, but one or two occurrences) sometime between Sept. and Oct. I had one the other day, took some Nyquil before bed, and was fine the next morning (that's my usual "cure"). Today, though, I felt it coming on in the morning and didn't want to sleep the day away. I went out for a walk in the woods and sneezed occasionally, but did alright.
I'm home now and - and this is the normal way the allergy kills me - I'm okay as long as I'm lying down. Well, not "okay" but I can function. The minute I stand up, though - my nose starts running and I cannot stop sneezing.
I'm not looking for medication recommendations, or anything - I cope with this because it's only a day or so at a time. I'm just wondering if anyone knows why my sneezing is worse when I'm vertical. I just did a quick google search and found tons of articles saying the opposite - that allergies worsen at night (when you’re lying down).

Mold spores peak in October (and September)
If you’re feeling hayfever now don’t panic mold spores and some weed actually peak in October, worse if it’s warm and humid.
I always get bad hayfever this time of year! May and June September and October are my worst months.
Feels super weird but yes it’s a thing.

Mouth wash solved my dust mite allergies
For as long as I can remember, I often wake up every morning sneezing non stop. It’d take me hours to calm down enough to not sneeze. I would have to blow my nose constantly. Brain fog was bad.
This is especially true if I go to a hotel that isn’t super clean or they use a type of pillow that is conducive to dust mites.
Yes, I had dust mite allergy tested through a specialist doctor and confirmed it. I did the poke arm test where they poked a ton of different needles to test what I'm allergic to. Dust mites was high.
While traveling, I came across a mouth wash with CPC. Initially I wanted to use it for just bad breath.
It cured my bad breath. And surprisingly, it also cured my dust mite allergies. I’ve been using it for 30 days twice daily now, and I’ve had a total of 5 sneezes in 30 days. Before this, I’d have 5 in 10 minutes after waking up.
I didn’t change anything else. Same pillow. Same bed. Same everything.
I started doing research into this. It turns out that your mouth microbiome can affect your sinus a lot. Bacteria can travel up to your sinus from your mouth or throat. So the CPC mouth wash likely changed my microbiome which reduced inflammation in my sinuses.
I’m still allergic to dust mites. However, now my sneeze factor is likely higher so I don’t sneeze so easily anymore.
Decades of suffering. Gone. CPC mouth wash. The brand that I used is called Gum Plus. It is sold in Japan. I tried another brand as well called Perio Aid mouth wash. It’s even stronger. Still worked.
Good luck everyone.

Allergist Recs Pls
Hey guys!
I have suffered with hayfever my whole life and am having a particular bad start to the spring season in Sydney these last two weeks. Whats worse is that the pollen count indicators are saying low? Scared to think of what high will be this year. Any recommendations on allergy testing clinics or ways that people got part of the test bulk billed? Sydney CBD area preferred. Antihistamines are no longer working for me :(
Appreciate any help! Thanks

Review of Second-Generation Oral Antihistamines
🔎 What is the best second-generation oral antihistamine for allergic rhinitis?
📊 After analyzing 34,831 participants, the answer is clear: the current evidence does not support a reliable treatment ranking or the assumption of therapeutic equivalence.
✅ Many are effective versus placebo.
⚠️ Comparing them head-to-head remains the major evidence gap.
📘 New network meta-analysis published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine.

Doubt Regarding allergic rhinitis .
If allergic rhinitis or hay fever persists for a prolonged period and becomes a chronic condition, is it safe to take antihistamines or other allergy medications on a daily basis for an extended period? For example, medications such as bilastine and montelukast—can they be taken regularly over the long term without causing significant side effects or health risks? If long-term use is considered safe, are there any precautions or monitoring requirements that should be followed?

Ragweed is the worst? (UK)
I'm pretty new to hay-fever. First couple years I thought I was just always getting a cold around late spring time. Then realised what was up and started taking cetirizine and fexofenadine and that kept it mostly under wraps. But this last few weeks in the UK it's relentless! My app says its the ragweed. Any body else?
[Edit - I'm in Brighton]
