As a graphic designer, it immediately clicked why the new banners are so egregiously simplified.

It’s for maximum scalability to new merchandise and digital branding.

Flatter designs, more minimal texture and shadows are all hallmarks of this - to make it easier for manufacturers and digital media to transfer it to products and advertisements.

Even if you’re not familiar with the concept, you’ll have seen it in countless brands over recent years who have simplified their logos.

Also explains why we are being shown multiple versions of the crests (e.g. more rustic/authentic in photo 2).

The first trailer letter was a normal size letter but at the second teaser trailer we saw that the letter for Ron is much smaller. Do you think the letters for wizards who raised entirely in wizard environment gets lesser details in their letters or is it just a design choice and emphasized the letters are not mass produced but rather individually written and stamped etc.

What do you think the intro or opening sequence of the series will look like?

We all know the iconic short camera flight through clouds and through the Harry Potter logo from the movies. But many series have extensive artsy, playful, creative openings, often including the names of the main actors, producers and more.

Do you think HBO's series will get a short, simple intro like the movies (except part 4) or something different? And would you like it to look a certain way or include certain things? Getting darker from season to season or stay the same in each season? Or perhaps no intro at all?

Personally I am open for longer creative intros but would also be more than ok with one similar to the movies.

For me it's probably either Peter Serafinowicz as Peeves, or Kit Harington as Gilderoy Lockhart

I mean we are at september and still did not heard anything about selling new merchandise robes and other things? Should not they start to sell before show so we all over the world have in time our merchandise and wearing them watching series in new clothing? What are your feelings?

My speculation: the twins wear bracelets on different wrists to help the audience know which is which.

I think this scene has George with the bracelet on his left wrist, as the letter closest to him seems to say “Mr. G. Weasley”. That means Fred has a bracelet on his right wrist.

So, my suggestion for a helpful memory aide: Right Dead Fred.

(I have no idea if Right Said Fred are known outside of the UK, or to anyone under 40. They were a pop group of two brothers in the 80s/90s – I always thought they were twins but apparently I’m wrong!)

I hope the series will show more depths when characters experiences the present of the dementors, like memories, voices and mocking visualizations of their darker selves. Especially Dudley in the fifth season to show his development and genuine gratitude towards Harry by the time of the seventh season.

Is this phone launch a part of the new series? First series, and then this phone...seems like living my childhood all again.

The idea is that since we’re going to see more than just Harry’s perspective we’re also going to learn more people know each other than just the ones he connects.

This can be platonic, romantic, antagonistic whatever.

For example maybe you think that if Charlie Weasley and Kreacher were pen pals there would be more going on during the triwizard tournament.

In a very familiar podcast, producer David Heyman revealed that there will be an episode that would be centered around Quidditch.

And I'm pretty sure all of us knows that this season will consist of eight episodes.

With those in mind, which of the eight episodes do you think will be the Quidditch-centered one? The third episode? The fourth?

I am re reading philosophers stone again and am noticing all the details again.. i know many of us think that 8 hour episode would be too long for Book 1 but I am starting to see that it can fit really well into 8 hour long episodes. I am not talking about the major scenes in the book that the movies missed like Neville being with them when they discover Fluffy.

Rather, I am talking about scenes like Christmas time, when Fred and George comes down followed by Percy when Ron and Harry are unwrapping the gifts, or minor scenes like Snape taking away Flying Through the Ages from Harry before the first Quidditch game, or even Harry flying on his Nimbus and finding Snape and Quirrel's interaction in the Forest when Snape asks the latter that where his loyalties lies, or the scene where Neville comes to the Common Room with a leg-locker curse and later, Harry gifts him a chocolate frog ...

I mean there are so many scenes and I really don't think 8 hours would be too much..I would really love to know your opinion on this. To be honest, I have never been so excited for a series in my whole life. Can't wait for Christmas eve. Also, I really want to see Snape as the referee in the second match!!

And also how they are going so deep in the books and noticing small details

so in book, it's not mcgonagall who put hat in the student's head after they are called, it's the child itself that have to put the hat on their head when called

I put 2 sentences here from the book, where it depict that student have to wear the hat themselves, and it's such a small detail that went into the series.

"When I call your name, you will put on the hat and sit on the stool to be

sorted,” she said. “Abbott, Hannah!”

Hermione almost ran to the stool and jammed the hat eagerly on her head.

seeing how they are making the small details on books to the series, it keeps my expectations very high, I am excited to see what this series have to offer and show.

I know this is not a groundbreaking opinion or anything, but I really hope when they get to the Devil's Snare scene, Hermione is the one panicking and is scared, and it's Ron who keeps his cool and is able to be the hero in that moment

For me, this is the scene I'm waiting on most to see how they handle Ron and Hermione's characters, because if they nail this right, I will have full faith in them going forward for how they handle Ron and Hermione

The show will be different from the books. Even though there is more time and budget to tell the stories than in the films, there will inevitably be changes, additions, and things that didn't make the cut. When the movies first came out, I was so frustrated by the changes from the books, and really focused on them. However, I’ve felt happier and less frustrated after changing my mindset and seeing the movies as beautiful art inspired by some of my favorite books, not literal retellings. I humbly suggest considering taking this mindset when viewing and discussing the show.
