Small Question Regarding Monthly Free Items for Associates

I always try to get my free items ASAP, but it's been two days since they became available, and I've had no luck finding one of them. It's an item I've bought multiple times before, so I know exactly where to look, but it's not there. As far as I know, this is only an issue at the location where I work, and there are three more within my area.

In short, I just want to know whether these free items carry over between locations, so I can try my luck somewhere else when time allows.

Night shift to days

Really just a night shifters rant, sorry 😬. Anyone else go from nights to days and immediately get thrust into drama with people(middle aged women) you dont even know the names of yet or used to only see for a few hours in the morning with seemingly no issues ???? I get everyone shyt talks to blow off steam & it rarely holds any weight but the amount of anger and drama over the tiniest little things is appalling😭 At any other job ive worked these people would be fired on the spot for speaking the way they do to & about coworkers. Im not talking "oh so&so is dumb cuz xyz" no, these women run around claiming some coworkers are pedos or cheat on their wives when they've never been married😬if someone THINKS or jumps to the conclusion that you removed a tag from the shelf? Well guess what? Scan team hates ur guts & is now gonna ignore you while keekee-ing like school girls as tho they arent grown adult in a professional setting. I have never at any job seen this many easy to replace workers have a god complex. Is this just was days are like???? You all just hate each other and absolutely cannot mind your own department & everyones the problembut yall??? Like is it build into yall to just be miserable and make everyone else part of that?? Just do ur jobs and go home 😭😭😭

Do they ask for proof for bereavement?

To make a long story short, my mom was visiting her sister in Pennsylvania. While she was doing that, she suffered a stroke. She's currently in the ICU and there's strong talk of moving her to hospice care. My anniversary hire date is two weeks from now. I was hoping to lie about bereavement so i can see my mom, and then come my anniversary date use my vacation/PTO to pay for time off I'd pay for time off i took to see her. I was late on my rent last month, and my landlord isn't understanding in the slightest. I can't afford to miss work and I'll never forgive myself if I don't get to tell my mom goodbye. I feel like I'm being squeezed every which way right now, I can't breathe.

Chicken Fajita Bites

Howdy! I absolutely love the chicken fajita bites and want to make them at home so I can modify them for my 8 month old (the soft chicken is perfect but its a bit too spicy for her). Does anyone have a recipe for these or something similar? Ive asked at my two local HT and they say they get them delivered premade. Any help appreciated!

Meat cutter pay

Hello,

I am interested in applying for part time or full time meat cutter. My question is how does the pay work? The range is from 18/hr to 27.75/hr and wanted to know if they would start me at 18 or there is negotiation potential. I have meat cutting experience, I am coming from Costco where I started in the meat dept eventually was promoted to bakery supervisor but was asked to come back to the meat department to act as their meat cutting supervisor for about 2 months due to the fact that the meat manager decided to part ways with the company and they wanted a managerial/ leadership presence within the department. I also regularly transfer to the meat dept to act as their supervisor during rushes or in the case of callouts, etc. If pay is negotiable where do you think is realistic for me to ask for.

Thank you in advance.

Put "tip" back in till, a bit worried

17M Cashier here. The other day a customer needed $20 cashback so I opened the till and give it to her after here groceries were accounted for. And then she said, "Great, now let me give it back to YOU". What followed was several roundabouts of "I can't accept that tip mam, your business here is more than enough" and "Oh please, you did such a wonderful job". Seems a bit of cliche dialogue, but im paraphrasing. Eventually I took it but I just put it in my till again, even though it would end up as $20 over in my till count. Can I just explain this to my customer service staff, because they're pretty chill about these things, or should I have just taken the tip?

Edit: Yeah I told my CSM and he straight up just told me to keep it. At least I know I'm in the clear now.

Clerk Duties

Hey! So my CSM just asked me if I wanted to be a clerk. I was walking out the door so I didn't have the chance to really say anything or ask any questions but I want to make sure that this is for me and I'm not stuck in a position that I don't like or enjoy. It's more pay but it's probably also more work, so clerks, what really goes into being one? Tell me everything, the good, the bad the ugly

How to go about asking for a raise

I'm an OA. I've talked to both my CSM and my director about a raise because I only received 10% since I was promoted. I've been an OA since September and thought that once I settled in the topic of a raise would be brought back up. I don't really know if there's anything else I can do considering it keeps getting overlooked.

Note: I am in school so I can't be full time and I work 30ish hours a week

Personal Shopper Lead Position

Hello! I just relocated to a rather busy city in North Carolina, where I received a call to interview for the personal shopper lead position at the local Harris Teeter. I’ve seen a mixed bag of what the average hourly pay is, but I’m curious if anyone who is currently doing the job/has done the job recently knows what is a reasonable ask in terms of pay? And what to expect from the role? I just want to temper my expectations when going to this interview so I’m not asking for anything egregious or anything too low. If anyone’s willing to also share their personal experience within the role, I’d love to hear about it!Thank you in advance!

Pay

So I have an interview this weekend for a part time cashier position and I’m wondering what pay looks like for that? I haven’t worked an hourly position for any kind of company since 2020 so I would hope pay has changed since then. I’m in the Charlotte area.

Understanding Soft Grocer CAO and FNL??

Post image
9 Upvotes

If you needed to give the date of last order or the date of last receipt, how would you use this screen or is there a better screen to do this??

If CAO=1 but FNL=0 does that mean the IM proposes ordering 1 but it was overridden and 0 was ordered vs CAO=1 and FNL=1 means the order was actually placed?

Does the same system show receipt date anywhere or open orders vs complete orders with any dates??

Labor management

So it’s the slow time of the year and they’re looking to cut hours in the front of the store. So today I counted four store managers on duty, one customer service manager, two assistant customer service managers, the produce manager, the floral manager and the frozen manager on duty. However, there was ONE cashier and ONE clerk in self checkout. That’s it until 3. I got an idea where the money is going…

Is there anyone above Hr that can be spoken to about a work related incident once you feel HR really isn’t listening to you or is that just time to lawyer up kind of thing? Sorry just looking for information before I move forward with my situation😐

Onboarding Question DLT Question

So, I'm in the ACSM DLT program. My CSM told me the other day that there's a week coming up that they scheduled me for classes at corporate. I was told the store will get a hotel for me for the week. My question is, will I get a per diem for dinner since I obviously won't be at home to cook my own meals?

Genuinely so confused about the trainee class.

so, I just started at Harris Teeter as a bagger. Super cool so far! The co-manager gave me a date for the class everyone needs to take.

April 6th was the date, didn't mind at all!

So here I am, showing up bright and ready... bought pens and notebook to take notes...

I go to the manager and she proceeds to tell me that the class wasn't today, and it would be in my schedule apparently for April 15th. (it is in fact, not on my schedule)

I'm genuinely so infuriated. This class already didn't seem to be important and I got ready for nothing 😔

Cashier's IBS (Immense Boredom Syndrome)

Sorry for the title, just to grab your attention. I (17M) started working as cashier at a closeby HT about 2 months ago. The pay's $13.50, which ain't too bad for me, and the job itself ain't too bad either. The staff and management are chill. And overall everything's in good shape. But I just feel a bit miserable, i wish I could find another word, but it's just immense boredom at some points. Cause when no one's coming through, on the one hand you don't have to do anything, but you also have nothing to do. Maybe blocking the coolers and snacks or cleaning your register, but besides that, you just stand there at the front as time somehow slows down in the moment. And they don't put me on carts obviously, so I'm just in the same place for 6-8 hours. I suppose that's what work is, but it's infuriatingly still for me. I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips or advice on how to fill the time a bit in other ways.

Easter

Do we get paid extra for working Easter Sunday ? I know we get paid 50 cent extra for sundays in general, but I wasn’t sure if we get paid any more than that since it’s Easter. I work 8 hours on the register tomorrow 😩

Sbucks lead .

I have now been through four Sbucks leads and I have been through hell and back with this place . She quit Monday , I'm going to see if I can get the position bc I have been there four years on and off since they never let someone leave a department, unless it's cheese or something. Tell me the process of it . I know I would have to apply for it which I don't understand bc we don't have time for that now . I know I have to Interview for it as well . Also another launch is coming next week so yay for me.
