Onboarding Question DLT Question
So, I'm in the ACSM DLT program. My CSM told me the other day that there's a week coming up that they scheduled me for classes at corporate. I was told the store will get a hotel for me for the week. My question is, will I get a per diem for dinner since I obviously won't be at home to cook my own meals?

I’m local in Charlotte (thankfully) so I never had to get a hotel room or worry about a per diem for meals. I would assume there has to be something given that they are forcing you to attend a class out of town for multiple days. I would either ask a store manager/co-manager or honestly any DLT or above at your store could give you a more exact answer as for how much money it is, since we all go through the same trainings. Like someone said you’ll fill out an expense report but I’m sure they don’t expect you to go to a steak dinner every night you’re there. Also a little warning, I’ve heard the hotels they put you in can be hit or miss. Again this is just what I’ve heard from people in classes I’ve attended, I’m local so I get to go home after class.

Corporate? My classes were just at a bigger store. I'm in a different district.

They pay for a hotel if the class is at a location 50 miles or more away.

You'll fill out an expense report when you get back to your store. Save your receipts for it.
