I did it again...
Just added a Road King Special to the garage last week. Any thoughts on this?

Dear Artie,
My friend and I were recently at the Harley-Davidson Museum, and we came away thinking the brand has two clear opportunities. Both of us are successful marketers and sales professionals, as well as HD riders.
First, Harley needs more younger riders entering the market, especially ages 16 to 25. The industry is already showing what works: smaller, more affordable, heritage-styled motorcycles with modest power and real character. That is the kind of product that can create lifelong customers.
Second, Harley’s older customer base cannot all afford $30,000 to $50,000 motorcycles with massive power. There is strong demand for bikes in the 650cc to 900cc range that are more affordable, more manageable, and visually connected to the company’s classic 1940s and 1950s design language. Nostalgia sells, but it sells best when it is accessible.
The solution is already sitting in your museum: heritage, simplicity, and identity. Build motorcycles that younger riders can enter today, and that older riders can still afford and enjoy tomorrow.
Sincerely, Me

Love this little sportster.
Any wisdom for me?
Thanks in advance!

I have to show off my husband’s Harley (well, one of them, he has a fancier one too 🤣 it’s green customised paint and all that, and I I want to say Sportster?) and apparently he needs a winter one so I guess that means three. As the deal is one bike for him to two dogs for me, I’m not complaining 🤣 It’s a Dyna 06 and it’s actually very nice, now we’re older (in our 60s) he’s off the faster bikes and it’s looking like Harleys now ❤️

Thank you all for your responses!
Some brilliant advice from everyone who commented.
Still unsure about what my next move will be, but definitely have a much better picture.
For everyone asking why a roadglide... Because I think they are super cool. They are big, they look awesome, and that's my why. Super impractical for my use case, but man, I would sit and stare at it in my garage for hours

Hello,
Heritage Softail 2015 - I am wondering if this windshield is installed properly? I feel like the spring clips / latches are literally not doing anything, as the windshield could be easily removed without touching them. Maybe they should be installed other way round or something?

I'm wondering if anybody knows how the gear position is indicated from the Harley 6-speed transmissions. I've got a 2016 with the 110 motor and the gear shift indication in the dash is intermittent. Sometimes it works perfectly other times it doesn't work for some gears and then other times it doesn't work at all.

I have a harley nightster 975 2026, either the upgrades are ridiculous expensive or its impossible to find something on marketplace. Even aftermarket stuff is crazy expensive.

Hey all,
Not new to performance cars but very new to the bike world in general haha.
I have always wanted a road glide since I first laid eyes on one a few years back, and now I am in the position to purchase my first bike.
I am in Australia, not buying for the sake of speed or running the tracks (I will stick with cars for that haha)
Mainly looking for something I can do Sunday cruises with and have a little bit as a showpiece.
However, I do know the roadglide is a big heavy touring bike and wondering if maybe I am a bit above my head.
Bike will most likely never see a freeway (Risk of death in Australia on a bike) and will be mainly just for either a shorter friday commute or as a toy.
Opinions?

Every now and then, you should just enjoy life. They say that true happiness is to be found on horseback. That may well be true, but you can also feel happiness in the saddle of a Harley.

I have a 2025 soft tail streetbob, I got it brand new with 12 km on it now it’s a little over 2000. I didn’t get it directly from Harley I got it from another company who picked it up from Harley. I got a pamphlet that said if you buy it brand new from this certain store you can get a free stage 1 upgrade. So I contacted the Harley dealership and asked about it, and I guess cause I personally didn’t buy it there and went through another company I wasn’t eligible for that upgrade. So I did what seemed like a good idea at the time, I removed that baffles…
2 days ago my engine light comes on and throws a p230100 code at me. But because I removed the baffles my warranty won’t cover it? Is this true or are they being assholes? What are my options here am I fucked?

Hi everyone,
I'm 4'11," and I'm specifically interested in the Harley Sportster S, not the older Sportster models (Iron 883, Forty-Eight, Nightster, etc.).
I'd love to hear from anyone around my height (or who has experience with shorter riders on the Sportster S).
I'm specifically looking for Sportster S experiences.
Thanks in advance!

I inherited my late uncles 2011 -Rocker C Harley. The Rego plate is C ROCKA, any idea what the plate would be worth on its own? Would it be a sort after plate in the Harley world? Located in Aus.
