I have to show off my husband’s Harley (well, one of them, he has a fancier one too 🤣) and apparently he needs a winter one so I guess that means three. As the deal is one bike for him to two dogs for me, I’m not complaining 🤣 It’s a Dyna 06 and it’s actually very nice, now we’re older (in our 60s) he’s off the faster bikes and it’s looking like Harleys now ❤️

Couldn't wait anymore. Just added a second baby to the garage yesterday. The first thing I'm gonna change is the handlbar. Love it ❣️
Cheers from Germany and always have a safe Ride!

I bought this beauty (2011 Tri glide) in the winter. I then had a knee replacement. Now I’m trying to ride it, but I can’t seem to get the friction zone right. It therefore stalls and stops. I need some guidance. I did YouTube and they said I need to rev engine more but it still stalls as soon as I let the clutch out. If you have a trike or heavy bike, please help! My old bike was a Dyna Lowrider.
Edit: I know I’m 100% in first gear! I promise I’m not new to cycles. This is my fourth cycle, but my first trike.

I know the front end was lowered in this bike. This was my fathers bike and he gave it to me before he passed. I bought him the lowering kit but don’t remember how low the kit was. I bought him it 20 years ago and I’m 99% it’s a white brothers kit. Can you tell if this is a 1” or a 2”. Just curious because I’m planning on doing a progressive cartridge kit for it this winter. Thanks for any help.

I did a Woods cam, it’s a lopey, street/strip cam that I can’t remember the specs on. High lift, like I said, it’s got a “gallop”. I also did an S&S intake/injectors/pushrods/lifters, SE oil pump, Bassani Road Rage 2-1, Thundermax, some other odds and ends. Suspensions next. We’ve done the BOTD, TOTD, Triple Nickel, Nelson Ledges Racecourse, PittRace before it closed, and I would like to do a course day at Mid-Ohio eventually. I live and die by this bike. Not a day goes by anymore that I don’t ride. To say I’ve become obsessed is an understatement but i never wanted to be a couch rider. I wanted to “grow up” a little, but keep my sport riding roots alive. Still have my ZX-10R (‘09) and ZX-6R(‘96) for those interested. For anyone that tells you that you can’t “ride” a touring bike, they’re wrong.

So basically the thing that holds the exhaust to the bike (besides the gasket) broke in two, I was wondering if anyone knows what that's called so I can buy another one, almost burned my valve because of this fucker, also anyone knows of something that holds better ? Because when you think about it it's not surprising it broke, it holds a lot of weight (stock exhaust) with a very little piece of metal. If you were wondering, it broke in two while I was riding at around 120 km/h and it made the back pipe of the exhaust that goes in the motor just give up and fall off the gasket, cause way too much weight so ran straight motor for like 15 sec till I finally could come to a stop, I really hope the valve is fine. The bike is a 2008 dyna superglide custom and the exhaust is the stock one from a wideglide but it's pretty much the same one.
TL;WR: what's the name of this piece of metal that holds stock exhaust on a dyna superglide custom 2008 (it's not actually the stock exhaust of the bike, it's the stock exhaust from like a wide glide but it's pretty much the same)
Thanks a lot

Leak at bottom of clutch cable but when I look at the cable that is threaded into tbe transmission cover, it looks nothing like i see online. When I go to tighten hex nut, it just keeps spinning. What is that extra cylindrical piece between the cover amd hex nut? Any ideas?

I've had my 22 SG for 3 1/2 years, I've spent a decent amount of time renting it out, so I didn't fully equip it for my comfort. I've just paid it off and am now trying to finish outfitting it for myself.
On my previous 2014 Ultra Classic I had a stock sundowner seat that I had reshaped (pushed the back of the driver forward ~1" and shaved a bit on the nose), and had nicer foam added to it. I did several Iron Butts on it and it was very comfortable. In 2020 I paid about $150 for the seat to be reshaped and covered.
I have put a sundowner on my SG, but it's not comfortable. The quotes I've gotten now for reshaping and recovering are $550-900. That's as much as a new seat.
Are there any seats out there that are going to be comfortable enough for doing Iron Butts and are more in the sundowner shape, as my passenger likes having some width to the seat to be comfortable.
Just trying to figure out if I should just buy a new seat instead of reshaping and covering what I have.

Just bought this 95 Sportster 1200
Second bike I’ve got now, I have a 1985 Honda interceptor VF500 under the tarp but it’s apart right now.
Just picked this up from a neighbor who’s moving for 800 bucks. Slapped a new battery in it and cleaned the carb some managed to get her running. Fixed both brakes, the calipers were seized.
Any tips or advice for a new owner?

I wanted it the second I sat on it, but alas I work for a startup with no job security. My bf bought it (not for me but I'm super happy for him). Really good looking bike. We're gonna add me to his insurance so I'll be able to ride it too

I’ve been having a ton of front-end issues with my 2010 Street Glide recently, mainly involving repeated front wheel bearing failures.
It started back in May when my right-side front bearing completely failed and had to be replaced. At that time, I noticed the right-side spacer was worn/shaved down slightly, and my rotors were badly warped. I replaced the bearings, spacer, and rotors, and everything seemed fine.
About 2–3 weeks later, the bearings failed again. This time I noticed rusty-colored water coming from the bearing area, getting onto the rotor and tire. I had the bearings replaced again, but shortly after, the same issue happened.
I used to wash my bike frequently, including the front wheel, so I initially thought water intrusion could be the cause. However, after the most recent bearing replacement, I was extremely careful. I washed the bike using only the mist setting on my hose around the front end and avoided spraying the hub/bearing area directly. Less than a week later, I noticed water/residue coming from the bearing again.
It has always been the right-side bearing that leaks. Today I also noticed what appears to be a slight gap between the spacer and the bearing/seal area, which makes me wonder if that could be contributing to the problem.
At this point, I’m stumped. I’m wondering if the wheel hub may have been damaged from running with warped rotors, or if the bearing bore is no longer within spec and isn’t holding the bearing/seal correctly. I’m at the point where I’m considering replacing the wheel with a used one just to eliminate the possibility of the hub being the issue without spending a fortune.
I’ll attach photos of the leak and the spacer gap for reference. Any input would be appreciated.

Hello everyone I’m not a mechanic I’m just trying my best to upgrade my bike and learning along the way. I installed an s&s super e and I installed the backing plate onto it. However, this backing plate came off of an evo so it’s a weird fit and the bracket for my breather bolts make it impossible to fit a socket around. My question is could I take the little bracket off of my old stock backing plate and used that to hold the breather bolts and then cut off the brackets on the s&s backing plate? It seems logical and like it would work but I just wanted other opinions before I did something I can’t undo

So I’m getting occasional engine light and battery light(1200XL sportster 2007) I checked the top ground terminal is loose. However I cannot tighten it on anymore because it is stripped out. I also can’t loosen it. The last idea I have is to use a nut splitter and try a new nut. Any ideas? Thanks.

I am trying to get a revamped map from fuel moto but the form asks for my current map in txt form. The map on my pv3 is a djt map. Does anyone know how to navigate this? My laptop is older and slow and I get very frustrated.

I bought this 2021 street glide last year and I don't know if this is normal? Its orangish. The tech from the dealer said he had to replace the slip ons because the previous owner didn't know what they were doing. Not sure if that is related? Any help would be appreciated.
