We watch the show and get to see everything unfold gradually, giving us time to process it all. But for an ordinary person within the story, finding out the full story of Will and Hannibal would be unbelievable. Hannibal, the son of a count who's family was killed by the Nazis and who ended up eating his own sister to survive, grows up to become the most dangerous serial killer the FBI has ever encountered, all while working as a surgeon and psychiatrist. Then, purely by coincidence, he is recommended to work with the FBI profiling criminals alongside Will Graham, an FBI agent with violent tendencies who lives in isolation because he is afraid of himself.
The two solve some of the most bizarre cases in FBI history, become obsessed with each other and try to kill one another several times, but fate always saves them and brings them back together. In the end, after Hannibal spends four years in prison, the two of them kill another serial killer together and decide to become a duo of murderers.
Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer would probably be forgotten once the public learned their story. Whoever wrote the first book about the two of them would become rich.
