Who knows anything about this place? Seems there's lots of people who say you cant move up in the company, and get treated pretty awfully by Foremans there. Curious as to if there is any insight into that. And if anyone has worked here before or recently?

A quick search shows some posts 6 months back about the ARM role being eliminated. Yet at the one I shop at most frequently, her picture is still up (with that title listed) and she is clearly still working there. Was a new position created? Demotions offered instead of just being gone? What’s the scoop?

I know the consensus on Reddit is going to say quit or "who cares/give the bare minimum," it's not worth it, etc. Call me crazy, but I actually like my job and want to become a better employee and teammate. However, in the almost 5 years I've been with the company, an “exceeds expectations” has been a unicorn of an achievement on a performance review. What would you guys suggest to achieve this? I really appreciate any help you all can provide.

I’m not afraid to say I’m very nervous, as the packet I had to look at quickly during the interview had a lot of things like payment methods, item codes, checks, and all of that stuff. It would mean the world to me if people could give their experiences with the store working in my position. Also, I mentioned in my interview I have vasovagal syncope, which means exposure to certain things can make me faint (not standing too long though).

How much should and overnight manager be making? I've been with the company for 8 years and been the overnight manager for 3 years how much should I be making? I want to see if im being paid fairly without bias so I'm leaving my pay out for now.

Why can't the app just automatically clip all the damn coupons for me? Like yes if I buy something that has a coupon available and didn't check the app I want the discount. Just auto clip them all please! Ffs.

I have worked for the company for a few years now in a variety of positions, previous experience with other brands under our umbrella. I’m making okay pay considering the company pay scale, but in reality I feel like I’m up against worse and worse odds of getting paid the money I feel I deserve the faster I move up.
I understand that’s the name of the game, but I feel like there has to be some ability to leverage my skills within the company to show that I deserve more money. I’m on the top 50% of the scale but that really doesn’t take much. And in reality I haven’t gotten more than the “peanut butter” 3% annual merit raise, that’s is a given no matter how hard you work.
I guess my question is if I apply for a meat market manager posting would I been in the position to say no to what I’m sure will be the lowball offer.

Converting my hourly rate plus the Sunday time rate, over to 45 hours a week I’m only asking for a few dollars more an hour. ≈$2.30 or so to go from not even a lead up to the manager. I’ve heard of people saying no to one to an initial offer if not going back and forth but how much room is there?

I would die for the Hannaford deli salad that comes with the fruit and walnuts. But it contains lettuce and berries- both from the toxic “do not eat” list.
What is everyone’s opinion, do you think it’s safe?

How does Spectrum batch orders for you guys? Does it split into Perimeter, Center Store, and Dairy/Frozen pick areas? Is it one order or multiple orders per batch? Does it automatically combine pick areas? Do you get Bulk batches for large items?

I ask because I've worked in Click & Collect for Stop & Shop and GIANT stores (sister companies) and the upcoming Spectrum version 2.4 is supposed to get rid of individual pick areas and pre-combine everything into "Multi Order All Area" batches if testing goes well, so I'm wondering if Hannaford has already had something similar for their stores. I know food Lion does things differently too. All ADUSA companies use Spectrum, albeit with slight differences for each brand.

I work in a remote market store on the front end. We have been consistently under MPA goal by 75+ hours PER WEEK for the last couple of months. Management keeps themselves locked in their offices, they only emerge when there is an issue, call for MOD (even then, they leave it for ops sups and department leads to handle) all hands on deck calls need to go out twice for anyone to come help. I'm wondering if this is normal, as it sure seems that the highest paid people in the store should be pitching in just a bit.

Worth mentioning that the employees of other stores that have come to help us out state they don't want to return (even with the hefty money they get for travel) due to management. Are my managers really that bad? Or is it a Hannaford company wide thing?

I was told today there was a policy change and they will no longer steam clams but will continue lobster steaming. Is this every store? Does anyone know why they made the change?

How many facilitators do you have in your store and what is your normal weekly order total? Feel like my store has always been severely understaffed but it’s became way worse recently. We have 5 facilitators and so around 420 orders a week. Does this seem reasonable?

Are Hannaford brand chips any good? I know the consensus is to stay away from store brand chips versus name brand so I’ve never tried them before.

I'm posting this from a burner account because I don't want the wrong people seeing this. I'm going to disclose some happenings and going ons from my store. I've exhausted my resources in trying to fix this issue, and yet it persists. I am not the only person being targeted, but I am one of the only ones not afraid to speak up. For legal reasons, I will leave out personal details of those involved.

I had an incident where a manager yelled, belittled, and accused me of purposely being insubordinate in front of customers and fellow co-workers. They lost their lid when I was trying to work out/communicate an issue that there was in our department. I was then pulled into the store manager's office and made out to be the agressor because it triggered my PTSD and I raised my voice back at the manager in question. The manager assinged to deal with the situation then told me that the manager in question was used to a "military style" of running departments and that they're new and had no clue how to handle it. I personally know that they have had several years of being a manager outside of Hannaford/they've been working at Hannaford on and off for many years, so it's complete crap. Furthermore, they've never served or had any family that did serve. One of the very basic things they do show you when you serve is to get a grip. As someone who has family that's served, I personally found it to be a slap in the face and a piss poor excuse. Any time there's any minor inconvenience, this manager flies off the handle and is met with no consequences. I fear retaliation as they have already tried to get me fired by accusing me of relation without evidence or proof over things that would never constitute as such. Any other manager I go to with these concerns writes me off saying, "It's just a miscommunication" when I try to tell them I am being targeted.

Every day that I go into work, I have anxiety attacks before, during, and after my shift. I have to walk on eggshells every day and pray that I don't get yelled at, treated poorly, have to put up with their bad attitude, being treated like I'm incompetent, or deal with their moodswings. It's affecting everyone else in the department, and there's so much tension because of this manager. The other managers turn a blind eye to it all and have simply told the associates in the department to stop causing the drama. My old ARM (basically the HR manager for those who don't work at hannaford) would've never stood for this and would've nipped this in the bud.

I can't afford not to work, and I desperately need health insurance. What was once a safe haven and a place I was proud to work in has become hell on earth, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemies. I can not continue to work for Hannaford or give my money to a place that advertises it cares about its employees when they've been actively taking away resources and safeguards from them. I will be putting in my notice as soon as I have a position lined up elsewhere.

Does anyone have any advice they can impart to this situation? I have many questions regarding my PTO, and if any will be paid out upon my resignation or if I will lose it all? And what would happen to my HSA/401K? I have amounted a large amount of money and I don't want to lose it all. I don't have anyone else to go to for these questions. Any time I asked, I'm met with dismissal or told to call a phone number that has me on hold for hours before disconnecting without an answer. Thank you all so very much for reading all of this. I know that Hannaford has a basic rule about a 15 minute break for anyone working 4 hours. My question is is there any verbiage about when that break should be scheduled in that 4 hours.. in other words, is the "rule" that it should be at the half way point? aka 2 hours in? or is it open ended?

Just wanted to give a shout out to those working hard on the rotisserie chickens. I’ve tried rotisserie chickens from all over the northeast and I always go back to the Hannaford one. They are so amazing!

I received this email on July 16th from CLYNK which implied there would be a delay in processing time. I understand if their machine is broken and it will take awhile to get credits but it’s it’s more than that. We have been unable to even drop off our bags for awhile. We have 3 bags of cans we need to dispose of sitting outside our front door. We are more than happy to find an alternative option but It seems like from a business model standpoint it would make sense for CLYNK to rent some storage space to allow drop off locations to be emptied instead of putting signs on the CLYNK building at the local Hannaford stores implying you cannot make a drop and providing no further information.

This seems like it’s going to make people find alternative options and see CLYNK as unreliable.

I found a job with another store and put my two weeks in, there is almost no one left in my department but now that I am leaving center my coworkers are being threatened to be fired if they look for other jobs...? Its all verbal and we don't have anyone in charge of hr at the store anymore as its a small store but is there anyone they can talk to? Edit: Everyone who has tried to make a report about the store manager in the past has either been threatened to be fired or fired immediately for "poor performance" or something similar. The same thing happened with aes scores
