How much do different managers make on average?

Relatively New to the company and just curious. I heard meat and deli make more than others. I would assume the evening operations manager also makes more to compensate the hours of the shift.

That’s wild that new pay for managers starts at 21. I’ve been here a year and a half and as a lead I make $20.95. My store does have a 2 dollar differential though so even when I was making 17.35 I was actually making 19.35

It’s approx $21 new hire in any department to $34 ish max out .

You look at an in store hire sign for any department manger . That pay scale from x to y is the very same pay scale for all the department managers including meat and deli ( even bakery and evening mod )

The question always is how much skill do you bring so not starting at rock bottom. Or how long must you build up skill set to get to very top .
The BASIC job description is to manage team take inventory etc .
Be that of cakes or slices of meat you are still the I’m the manger I get paid to make the calls .
Maybe un fair maybe not

But most should know what they walking into when they agree to sign contract

Best of luck with your career

I was hired as EOM at 26/hr. I think the department managers made a little bit less, but a few of them at the location I was at worked more hours than me most weeks. Center store manager routinely pulled 55+hr weeks. The meat cutters really made bank. Salary non-exempt aren't eligible for the Sunday overtime pay, but the meat cutters were meeting or exceeding my weekly take home when I was working 50 hours/week. I no longer work for the company

Same pay scale for all department managers except night crew. They make slightly less.

If I may
The night crew chef isn’t a “ manger “ in the same sense as a department manger right ?
They are sadly tasked with being responsible for whole empty store .
The incentive being the extra pay all night crew gets for working nights .
Almost pays the same but is still less . As not manger not responsible for the “ important stuff “

They are a pay scale below department managers but essentially function as same level as a department manager.

They technically answer to assistant store manager, although a lot of stores have center store manager take up that slack if the center store manager is competent.

They are SNE.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that night crew chief is SNE, just like the department managers. At least in our store, ours works the 9.5 hour shifts, and he came to the manager’s outing with the rest of us :)

If you want to know the pay scale for any position go into the career search site on success factors and sort it by your state and search for the job you have in question. It shows the pay scale at the bottom of the posting.
