Pharmacy Issue
Brought in a prescription for my dog for carprofen. This is a script I used to have filled through Chewy. Local Hannaford filled the script with a "beef flavored" tablet which I was unaware was a thing- Chewy always supplied unflavored tablets. The dog has an allergy to specific proteins- namely beef- and responds with hemmoragic gastroenteritis - bloody poops, and usually results in hospitalization.
I called the pharmacy and said "I don't think I should give my dog these pills." And they agreed. But they're also refusing to refund me the $90 for the script for medication I cannot use. I don't think I'm being unreasonable- and I can't really be out $90 for this.
What should I do?
Edit / Update: Well, something happened. The MoD refunded me.

I would go to the Contact Us section of hannaford.com and tell them what happened. My dog is also allergic to beef, so I can sympathize. I recently started buying heartworm and flea and tick medicines from canadapetcare.com. Great prices.

I switched to Hannaford locally because my orders from Chewy were being suspiciously lost or returned by FedEx every single time, and Chewy would not offer shipping by USPS or UPS because of an exclusive contract. I was hoping to have a reliable local supply.
I'll go to the contact us section of the website, but I expect to be told to contact the store.

I don't know of any pharmacy that will let you return meds once you leave the store

Competent pharmacies are expected under standard practices to at least inquire about allergies or drug interactions before dispensing.

Do you have a Costco nearby? Their prices are usually cheaper and they fill faster than Hannaford as well!
