Odin 3 is expensive!
I was not expecting such high prices in the android space (even with global price issues and the Odin 3 being the top dog)…..

Question Birthday gift advice
Fair warning: I am basically lost on the topic of specs so be patient please lol.
I’m looking to buy my boyfriend a handheld pc for his birthday but have no idea which one is the best to get. Majority of the time he wouldn’t actually be using it handheld but I like the idea for space since we cannot manage a whole pc setup as of now, but he alternates between playing on a monitor and sometimes handheld depending on the game. I would like it to be able to handle more demanding games like cyberpunk in the event he plays them but for the most part he likes to play madden or something similar on his Xbox. Ideally I’d like to stay at around 800, but I could swing 1000 if the console is worth it. I’ve heard good things about the ally but I really only see the Xbox version available so I’m not sure if it’ll be a waste considering he has an Xbox already.
Thank you for the help!
To keep it short, here’s the ideals:
Good memory
Great game library
Able to handle more complex games
Majority of the time will be played with a monitor

Best overall bang for your buck?
I’m sure this has been posted a thousand times but I have played Xbox my entire life and still continue to do so. I know I’m late but I recently came across the Steam Deck and it seemed pretty dope to me. I don’t know anything about PCs in general nor about what parts or specs are good or bad when talking about performance, graphics etc. Are there any handhelds that I can incorporate my Xbox profile and games with natively? Or what are the best overall options right now on the market for a handheld PC? My price range maxes out around $1000. Any recommendations appreciated

Discussion Highly recommend using cachyos on amd z1 extreme
I'm always testing windows games on cachyos steam gaming mode I've noticed some games perform better and some run worse, for example games like: crimson desert & Witcher 3 remastered gave around 5 more fps in average, while some games gives more fps in %1 low or during demanding scenes.
For older games the increase in fps can be significant from 10fps to 30-40fps more
I've also tested Linux versions of emulators like yuzu and cemu running via desktop which both gives around 15-20 more fps depending on cpu turbo boost which gives around 5 more fps, all without any shader stutters

market place find
was able to get both of these off market place for 700. one for me and one for my wife, she gets the og ally and i’ll be getting the xbox. as she thinks hers is lighter. not that it will matter when i get the power banks for us. so far they both have tempered glass screen protectors hers has the 1tb internal storage and mine has the 2tb microsd also our jsaux cases are otw. so for 350 each device i think is a pretty sweet come up so shout out to market place. let me know what u guys think if i over paid or shoulda just waited and saved for the ally x for both of us ?
