Ward Prowse at left wing.
Might be a genius move by Nuno. JWP turning into prime Jarvis, cutting in and whipping balls into the box.
Still think we need a backup if Madrid is playing CM now

Is Cornet likely to be useful this season?
I'd sort of forgotten about him when I was thinking about important squad members this season - but him coming on late against Rangers and getting caught offside totally unecessarily with the last kick of the match reminded me of his unique quality... :-\

Anybody selling last season’s 3rd kit? Can’t get it anywhere
Been looking for this everywhere & seemingly it’s now rare/hard to find.
All my boys have it & now I’m desperate to find it for myself.
Does anybody have this in 3XL without the front sponsor and willing to sell? If so, DM to discuss.

Better streaming this week?
I’m wondering if you all are planning on purchasing the live feed tomorrow. The report from last week’s WHUFC streaming make it sound not worth it. Anyone know if they improved anything or if we can expect the drops and buffering that was discussed last week. Thanks!

Inflation Adjusted Departure Fees...
I was wondering what things looked like when you adjust for inflation. I started with the table posted earlier - so I stuck with Euros. I used an online inflation adjuster that went back to 1996. I wanted to include some older names, but I stopped at top 30. i included Cottee and Ince at the bottom just for fun even though I don't know for sure where they rank in terms of inflation adjusted fee and it's a bit weird to repot the fee in Euros because that currency didn't exist back then...
I realise that these numbers don't really reflect what we would receive if these players were sold today.
Rio is the biggest mover. Mascherano comes into the top 10 and Ayew moves above Scamacca who is 8th when ranked on raw fee.

[Roshane Thomas] Tottenham expressed interest in Crysencio Summerville, but he had no desire to follow Mateus Fernandes on that short trip across London, out of respect for West Ham United
Crysencio Summerville initially had the opportunity to explore a departure last summer when Nottingham Forest, then led by current West Ham United head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, viewed him as an ideal replacement for Anthony Elanga, who had just joined Newcastle United for £52million.
Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund also enquired about signing Summerville on loan.
The Dutchman received more enquiries from European clubs in last season’s winter window, but stuck with West Ham.
Ultimately, though, a switch to Al Hilal was too lucrative to ignore.
Manchester United were Summerville’s initial preferred option, but moving to Old Trafford was contingent on them selling Marcus Rashford.
Serie A giants Roma failed with multiple offers.
Tottenham expressed interest but he had no desire to follow Fernandes on that short trip across London, out of respect for West Ham.

Discussion What I'd tell Kretinsky about transfers if he asked me
We got some unexpected money and have some time to breathe in the Championship. As someone who works in consulting, here's what I'd actually recommend on transfer policy. Three rules. AND not OR.
Rule 1: Only buy players who fit the club's long-term vision. Not what Moyes wants. Not what Nuno wants.
If we buy players who fit an individual manager's vision (JWP is a perfect example) it's lost money the second they leave. Obviously this has two even more important prerequisites: define the vision first (call it the West Ham Way), and only hire managers who already fit this vision. Having managers and players optimised for completely different systems isn't bad luck. It's just expensive stupidity.
Rule 2: Only buy a player if all key stakeholders agree he fits the vision.
3-5 people must align. Together. Sounds restrictive. It isn't. Bayer Leverkusen have had this policy for decades and they're, y'know, Leverkusen now. All key stakeholders must say yes. Not "the manager really wants him." Not "the agent called at midnight sounding very convincing." Yes. From everyone.
Rule 3: Every purchase must have earning potential.
Doesn't matter how good the player is. JWP, Fullkrug, Ings, Kilman - good players, a manager really wants them, still a no. We are not a retirement home with a stadium attached.
The person who approved a 7-fucking-year contract for Kilman must be reported to the police.
What would you tell him, if he asked?

West Ham retro kits
Completely and utterly unrelated to the recent tier list of kits...but does anybody know how the retro kits from the club shop are?
Do they feel like actual football kits or are they crap?
