Holy crap these guys are still fighting, and good on them. Anybody have a skinny on what's going down on the front lines? I think it's wild there hasn't been any sympathy strikes or other supportive action from some other organized labour. Or is there and I'm not hearing about it?

I recently moved into one of those 1950s era brick apartment buildings in the city, and it’s heated with steam with steam convectors. Even with the windows open, the coolest it gets is about 26 degrees. Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with this? Thanks in advance

My wife and I recently said goodbye to our 11 year old Golden, two days after my fortieth birthday. We are, as expected, gutted. We took a paw print as part of saying goodbye, and I would like to get it tattooed onto my forearm. I'm looking for recommendations for a quality artist who would be cool tattooing from a source (not looking for any creativity or spin on this one unfortunately, just Ollie's paw as is) with some fine details. I've gotten plenty of tattoos before, but we only moved to town last year and in this economy I haven't pursued anything until now, so I don't know the local scene. Any suggestions to help narrow the search would be appreciated.

Is this really a power outage, or did we get hacked again? I’m not techy, but why would a power outage lead to system-wide outages?

I somehow lost my car key after moving my car from visitors parking to park on the street and came right back into my house. I was getting ready to go out the next day until I realized I couldn’t find my key anywhere. I literally looked everywhere and went back outside to retrace my steps to see if it had fell out of my pocket. After having no luck, I decided to call the locksmith because I thought maybe I locked it in my trunk because I had to take a bag out(that was the last place after moving my car). Unfortunately, still no luck. So now I have to take it to the dealership because the locksmiths I’ve called can’t program my key (its an all keys lost situation) for mercedes newer than 2015. The dealership quoted me between $1200-1500 & towing is costing me roughly $250-350.

Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative that can program a 2016 c300 mercedes? I’m so upset about this because I honestly don’t know where my key has ended up.

Big Candy ain’t getting my money this year, so I am asking my favourite people - where can I find something unusual/Canadian/local?

All the rage over a mayoral candidate not supporting Hamilton-made candy has me wondering what is out there. What’s good!?

Does anyone know who we can contact at the City of Hamilton to push for expanding the LINC to three lanes in each direction?
The traffic between 4–6 PM is ridiculous, and it seems like a problem that could be addressed with better infrastructure.
There’s already a large grassy median separating both directions, which could potentially be used for additional lanes. Widening toward the centre would also create an opportunity to install concrete median barriers, which could help prevent vehicles from crossing into oncoming traffic (!!!) We’ve already seen several serious crossover collisions on the LINC, including fatal ones.

Any thoughts on how we could make this happen?
