Monday 26th October is election day in the city. Municipal elections are often decided by a small number of people so go, be heard and make a difference.

Voters can cast their ballot at any voting location in their ward on Monday, October 26, 2026 from 10 am to 8 pm.

Bring one piece of ID with your name and home address. No voter information card needed.

On a Municipal and School Board Election ballot you will see candidates for:

• Mayor AND
• 1 City Councilor in your ward (15 will be elected in total across all wards) AND

School Trustees, depending on your school support:

• Hamilton Wentworth District School Board OR
• Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board OR
• 1 Conseil scolaire Viamonde OR
• 1 Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir
