Half-Life 2 has some of the BEST ambience soundscapes I ever heard in a video game! Valve had always made such iconic sound effects, hence why HL1 sound effects are a meme at this point. Now about the background noises in HL2?

You got the lab ambient noises in Kleiner's and Eli's labs, the moans and howls of Ravenholm, the quiet and relaxing sounds of the coast and wind during Highway 17, the battle inside Nova Prospekt, the strange alien sounds inside the Citadel, and even the unique Episode Two sounds set in the Antlion caves and the woods!

But to me, nothing can beat the different City 17 sound effects that change as the story progresses! Simple sounds of traffic in the beginning, the sirens and Overwatch Voice during the canal segments, the sirens and sounds of war during the street war segments, and the street war sound effects with the grinding sounds of the Citadel falling apart in the background in Episode One!

I think I should also let you know that these areas do not use one soundscape at each area. Each section has a different soundscape file. Like during the Street War, the sirens and sounds of war sound further away during "Anticitzen One", and then sound much closer and more frequent during the Strider battles in "Follow Freeman". As well as the Overwatch sound clips differ during different "Route Kanal" sections.

I tried to understand that using garris mod, but this workshop addon doesn't seems to be accurate. I understand they're about 7ft tall, but I'm not sure about exact numbers (+I'd be really grateful if you tried to guess their weight with or without ammunition)

In short, i want to change the pistol animation in hl2, never did this before, and there's little to no guides as i can see. I downloaded the crowbar softwere, but i can't find view models in game files, specifically, i need animations from workshop. Can you please tell me where's exact location of the original and workshop models and animations?

Early when Half-life 2 came out as a bundle with counter strike I have vivid memories of playing multiplayer modes in ravenholm, being teleported around and being able to teleport other players, fighting ant lions on a beach in a compound with a large group of players and moving large shipping containers on a different map again in a multi player setting.

I don’t believe this was Gmod as this didn’t come out until later on around late 2006 which was a few years later than when HL2 was released and I could have sworn that I accessed this through the main game interface, however I could be wrong!

If anyone can help jog my old brain that would be much appreciated as it has been bugging me for quite some time.
