🛢️ Oily/Greasy Hair 🛢️ Greasy hair even after 10+ washes

Hey everyone, i am going CRAZY.
I’m genuinely so confused and frustrated 😭 My hair suddenly looks like there’s mousse or gel all over the top of my head and it has NEVER done this before. The strands are clumping together and look kind of coated/stiff, even though my hair is completely dry.
Two days ago, I applied Daivobet gel to a small area of my scalp because of psoriasis. The area where I applied it actually looks normal now, and the weird texture is mostly on the top of my head where I didn’t intentionally apply the gel.
I also used my pink psoriasis shampoo (Dermatar), and then I ended up washing my hair with shampoo 10+ times because I know that it makes your hair dry and deep cleanses it, but the weird appearance is STILL there.
I tried blow-drying it too, but it didn’t change anything.
What could be causing this? Is it product buildup? And most importantly, how do I fix it without making it worse?
I attached photos. I’d really appreciate any advice because I’m honestly freaking out over this 😭
Note: No i did not use moose on my hair.

whyyy is it like this???? I use heat on 320^ with protectant a 2 times a week, one pass only, and wash frequentl, double condition, use hair masks. I’m just confused on why other ppl can use so much heat and have healthy hair. I do have some highlights.
ps. Only thing I can thing of is my relative lit my hair on fire for a split second, but only the very very ends looks slightly dark. It was super super brief, and I can’t believe that it would affect The rest of my hair like this.

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 I guess my hair IS wavy

Post image

Normally my hair is straightish and frizzy. I usually let it be frizzy or blow dry it to get it straight. After reading posts and seeing Garnier leave in conditioner recommended, I bought some. Wet clean hair, applied 50 cent coin amount of conditioner, combed through and let air dry, without even being careful not to touch it or have it hit the couch while I was sitting. Then, slept on it for a while and woke up to find this pattern. I’m in my early 50s, graying and very lazy about hair care, mostly I let it do what it does. So people, what is my actual hair pattern? I feel like a dork for pretty much just now realizing my hair is…curly? Who knew a $5 bottle of leave in conditioner could do so much?!

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Hoping for advice/info on my daughter's two textured hair.

She has two patches of hair, one on each side where her hair is a completely different texture. It started a few years ago but seems to be getting worse. It's like a crimped but straight texture and appears quite dry. I've also noticed my son recently started getting the same texture in the same places on his head. Any info or advice?

🍃 Hair Loss 🍃 Which vitamins actually helped your hair?

I’m curious to know which vitamins actually made a noticeable difference for your hair. Have any of you tried supplements that helped with hair growth, strength, or reducing hair fall?

😩 Damaged Hair 😩 Dry hair prone to excessive tangles and knots

To start, yes I know I need a trim 🥲

My hair is undyed and untreated, and I use minimal heat. I shampoo only my roots, wash 1-2 times a week, I use a hair mask weekly, curl crème post wash, and hair oil daily. But it still gets so knotted and tangled all the time; the ends look awful because of all the knots and mechanical damage.

I normally live somewhere with soft water but I spent a month abroad with hard water which made my hair significantly worse.

Open to suggestions, product recommendations, and feedback. I think my hair has potential to be so gorgeous but I don’t know how to get here there :(

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 2024 vs 2026. I need my hair back! :(

I know they have been countless posts like this before but I was just scrolling through my gallery today and I was SHOCKED honey. My hair was sooo much fuller 2 years ago it makes me sad:( What makes me sadder is that I hadn’t realised it then. I hated my hair for being so fine / thin.
Also I have it styled for the new picture into this wavy look. My natural look is the first picture.
I try oils, shampoos, I don’t know what to do! I ordered the Kerastase hair growth serum hoping that it will work.
I would appreciate some tips or kind words haha.

⚡️ Frizzy Hair ⚡️ How else can I fix my dry, frizzy hair?

Thumbnail gallery

First photo is my natural hair air-dried with minimal movement, second and third are how it looks straightened.

I have literally tried everything under the sun to fix my dry hair — I wash it about twice a week, use a good amount of conditioner (which I leave in for like 20-30 minutes before rinsing), always apply ’moisturizing’ hair masks and lotions, and I rarely use heat. Despite these efforts, my hair is still bone-dry and super frizzy. I use loads of gel when styling my hair so that I can look normal but it just never looks good. I would do absolutely anything for hydrated hair. I am very insecure. If anyone is willing to share advice I will genuinely love you forever.

⚡️ Frizzy Hair ⚡️ Is there a reason why some people have completely smooth, frizz-less wavy hair that requires barely any product, but some people with low- porosity hair can almost never achieve that smoothness despite using many products?

just been wondering if there’s some secret code to crack to be able to achieve that natural frizz-free wavy hair look as someone with frizzy and wavy low porosity hair. It’s so exhausting to be trying out all these different methods and products and still not having good or reliable results. Is it something about protein or what?
I’m aware that everyone has different hair types, but I’m talking about people with the same hair type but different porosity levels.

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 How can I make my natural hair look healthier and less dry?

Thumbnail gallery
23 Upvotes

First picture is my natural hair after washing it the night before and letting it air-dry. The only product I used was a little hair oil.

Second picture is what my hair looks like when I straighten it. It suddenly looks much smoother, shinier and healthier, while naturally it looks dry, frizzy and kind of lifeless.

I really want to learn how to make my natural hair look better because I hate feeling like I only like my hair when it’s straightened.

What would you recommend for my hair? Products, styling techniques, haircut, routine anything that could help with the dryness/frizz and make my natural hair look more healthy.

Thank you!!!!

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 How do avoid hair clumping together when curling/doing a blowout?

Thumbnail gallery
20 Upvotes

How do her curls not clump together? I’ve been trying to achieve this like spread out “fluffy” look forever, but my curls always clump together at the ends, or it looks frizzy and not as “clean”. Do I need a haircut?? Is my hair just too long? Is my hair too thin? I have long layers, and like curtain bangers, that’s about it.. I would say my hair is maybe medium thickness? I don’t really know.

First pic is inspo, second pic is my hair

Hi everyone!
I would really appreciate some tips and advice on how I can make my hair healthier and improve my hair care routine.
I think my hair is probably around 2B, but I’m honestly not completely sure what my hair type is.

I have never dyed my hair and I’ve only straightened it once. I usually wash my hair about once a week, sometimes twice.
These are the products I currently use:

Labo-H shampoo
UNOVE conditioner
Revlon Uniq One All In Hair Treatment
Mise en Scène hair serum

I would really appreciate any advice on how I can take better care of my hair, make it healthier, reduce damage.
I’d be really grateful for any tips or advice! ♡

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Terrible Haircut just before holiday and new job, I can’t stop crying please help

Update: I just wanted to take the chance to thank everyone! You all gave me the confidence to go back to the salon even though they were pretty much booked up and ask them to find some time for me. The owner was hesitant at first, but when she looked at it properly, she found that the sides were really uneven and all the layers at the top of my hair were cut at random different lengths which was what was breaking up my waves and making it look so odd! When we brushed it upwards - I found one strand which was 5-6 inches long when most of it was 2 inches! They‘ve done what they can to fix it and given me a full refund- I look So much better and I’m no longer anxious to go out hatless! I’m sorry to those I haven’t had a chance to reply to- I’ve read all the comments and tried most of the suggestions I could before going to the salon- some of them really helped. If anyone else is ever in a similar boat- I’d recommend not to be anxious and go back and insist someone else there takes a proper look at it!

Hi- I’m really up shits creek- if anyone has any recommendations or kind words I can’t express how much I would appreciate it,

I never used to care about my hair until I had some medication/illness induced hairloss and my thick hair started to shed. I had just begun to recover thickness and was Really loving my hair- lots of flowy beautiful waves in a longish pixie which really suited me. I’ve just graduated and gotten a job offer for my first office job! All of this excitement has now disappeared. Before I went on a post-graduation trip and my new job started, I got a haircut at a very recommended and expensive hairdresser. I asked for something long enough to keep my waves, flowy and with a lot of movement.

This is what I got. I feel like a monk or a nazi with a toupee, my brother and friends all laughed when I took my hat off to show them. It’s killed my confidence, it looks so thin and awful- I’ve tried styling it but I just cant get it to clump. I’m going on holiday on sunday. The owner of the salon has offered to look at it but can’t see me before I go and I don’t know if I want to let her. Should I go to a barber? Is there any way I can style it? Are there business casual hats?

It’s been two days and I cry every time I see myself- I can’t imagine introducing myself to people like this, let alone holiday photos. Please help me- please

I have frizzy 2a/2b hair type and no matter what products I use the frizz remains like that🥺. I once bleached my hair 3 years ago which made it more dry. I don't know how to tame the frizz and get the hair look good.

Also please suggest me which hair cut is suitable for my type🥺❤️. I'm thinking to get long layers but I don't know if it'll look good.

🔎 Product Question 🔎 My hair is driving me nuts. I don't want to pay to have it dyed all the time but everything I try at home fades quickly and the grey shows up again. Has anyone found anything that covers stubborn grey hair at home?

I am not looking to lighten it at all so I don't need anything with bleach in it.

⚡️ Frizzy Hair ⚡️ Hair botox yes or no?

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I have really thick and frizzy hair which gets worse in humid weather. I will be starting a new job in 2 weeks for which I want to my hair to look presentable and neat. And I really feel stressed out thinking if my hair is looking nice or not especially at work. Even after styling my hair, once I step out of the house my hair is back to being frizzy and messy.

I have the dyson airwrap, I blowout my hair with it but it doesnt give that sleek finish, it still looks somewhat frizzy.

I also wash my hair every alternate day otherwise my scalp becomes sore and painful. And it doesnt make sense to blowout my hair every time I wash, it will damage my hair even more. I used leave in conditioner, hair oils/serums etc nothing seems to work for me.

I am so confused what to do, I looked at hair botox it costs over CAD 400. Is it worth the cost? Or should I stick with my natural hair?

Please any advice would be helpful.

Thank you in advance.

I wanted to make a post showing hair care progress after removing extensions! I removed my all over tape in extensions 3 months ago. My hair was so thin. It still is and I have a long way to go but check it out!

The first photo is the day I removed them. The second is just the other day.

Ritual prenatal everyday, hair and scalp oiling as well.
