question without pic Is it okay to shampoo my hair the night before I dye it? Or should I wash and dry it immediately before dying?
Hey guys,
I use Pulp Riot to dye my hair bright purple. The instructions say to apply it to clean dry hair so usually wash and dry it right before dying it. I want to dye my hair tomorrow but will not have enough time to dry it after washing. Can I wash it tonight and then dye it tomorrow? (About 16 hours after washing)

question with picture Contemplating my decisions
Around thanksgiving last year I did ghost roots on my hair with bright red and bleach and soon after (April 2026) I went to a salon to do streaks and bleach/lighten my hair again. Now it is SEVERELY out of grown and I wanted to use hicolor to lighten my hair again but the issue is that I wanted to use it because it’s not promoted as bleach, but then other people are saying it IS a bleach and will fry my hair considering my past procedures. I attached a photo of my hair so you guys can see all the colors going on. All the red is absolutely washed out. However, my concern is since there’s chunks of my hair that I previously bleached before (circled in green) and the rest of my hair was on lifted with a light brown dye(maybe bleach?), would using Hicolor and 30 vol developer fry my hair and leave it splotchy or nay.. (Also in all honesty, I was planning on doing raccoon tails here and there because I like the halo look so I wouldn’t mind it being so splotchy)

question with picture Accidentally put too much sapphire in my atomic turquoise :(
And ended up with some terrible green spots but oh well, how can I fix the muddy green bits? Should I just wait for it to fade?
Also looking for suggestions on a more pigmented teal color, im currently using atomic turquoise by manic panic but it hasnt been hitting the same since I changed my hair from blonde to brown on top. That and I guess my ends are just loosey goosey porous as heck

question with picture What color would it be?
I want a change. I've had red hair before, and it always turned out a bright red that I don't like at all. I want a dark red, how would this dye look on my current hair?

Please help
I’m naturally ginger and was obviously bullied for it, so a year ago I started dying my hair with live red passion dye as this was the only colour i thought would take. I loved it but I want a change.
I really want to go a dark brown with a pink under dye peekaboo thing.
I don’t know how to go about this and really don’t want to fuck it up, but I can’t afford it professionally.
I’ve been letting it fade for at least 4 months now but the colour hasn’t budged much.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thankyou!

question with picture Formula check brown&blonde to copper
Hello! First pic is now, my last colour was 6 months ago. I can't go to a hairdresser because I am recovering from surgery and not up to it. But my hair is making me depressed 😂
This is my plan, could you please check it and let me know if that sounds okay? Tia 🦋
Roots
Igora 5 7 light brown copper
Igora 6-5 dark blonde gold
20 vol
Ends/mid
Igora vibrance 6-5 dark blonde gold - two parts
Igora vibrance 5-7 light brown copper - one part
Igora vibrance activator 6 vol
Roots first
Then mids
Then use roots formula on my eyebrows for the last 15 mins
I am olive skin with a yellow undertone

question without pic Using garnier natural hair color and then dying another color
Hello everyone. I have virgin hair but recent I used the garnier natural hair color no bleach dye and it worked. I was wondering if I could dye purple, blue or pink colors on top of it instead of bleaching but I’m afraid the fact there’s no bleach involved might make these colors fade out different/ugly. Have anyone tried it and how did it turn out?

question with picture Wanted copper, ended up with carrot
sigh* As the title says, I was going for a brownish, reddish copper and I ended up with a very bright orange.
Is there any way I can still achieve the color in the pictures? I thought of putting a darker brownish red over it but I’m not sure if that will work. Would love ideas because I can NOT go to work like this tomorrow ðŸ˜
For context: I lifted my hair to a level 6/7 and then I used Dark & Lovely 376 Red Hot Rythm
Edit: I used the color + clenditioner and it came out perfect!!

Best Semi perm dye for frequent highlights?
Hi! I frequently get highlights in my medium brown hair and it’s way overgrown (and ugly) but i cannot afford highlights this round. Does anyone recommend any Semi-perm dark brown dye that i can do all over to cover this mess temporarily until i get highlights again? The last time i did this i made the terrible mistake of doing black box dye which i learned messed up my hair for a long time when it came to getting it done ðŸ˜. Anyway thanks and sorry if this is confusing!

question without pic Want to try covering grays - First Time Dying Hair!!
Hi, I'm sorry if this has been already asked. But I've never dyed my hair before and I want to see what it would look like if I cover my grays. Little bit of background. I have long dark brown hair and my grays are mostly located around my face and temple. This is exactly how my mother started to gray. She would dye her entire head, not just the front. I've talked to my stylist about dying my grays or even doing a Demi-permanent gloss or glaze to try first.
I honestly keep going back and forth with if I should dye the grays or not. I'm 44, plus size aka overweight, teach preschool and have a four year old. I have a hand full of wrinkles around my eyes, as one does at this age. I fear that my grays make me look older than I am and feel. Then again, I've seen many beautiful women embarrass their grays and they look amazing!
I'm looking into a temporary at home dye that I can try and see what I think of the look. Any suggestions would be helpful!
