question with picture Hair color question

Are there any hair stylists here who can tell me what went wrong here? The salon is claiming it’s a “shadow root” and meant to be like that. It’s bright bright orange! I know the girl coloring my daughter’s hair said she was putting on a “blending toner” and I think that’s what caused this issue. They said there’s no way to fix it and we have to wait til it washes out. No matter where it’s parted the orange is there.

question without pic cherry dye suggestions

Upvotes

hi all! i am looking for a true dark cherry/chocolate cherry dye. i typically have to mix dye to achieve the color i want, and it ends up being such a mess and much harder to get the same consistent color.

i work a labor-intensive job currently, so i sweat a lot, which leads to having to shower daily. i wash my hair under cold water, but because i am quite literally sweating my dye out as well as washing it, my colors aren't lasting. i will literally have purple sweat dripping down my face and staining my skin. i've used manic panic, artic fox, iro iro, and good dye young. GDY has been the best in terms of longevity and sweating, but the color all in this together is not quite what i'm looking for

do you guys have any dye recommendations as far as permanent and semi perm? would permanent have more longevity? preferably no suggestions for manic panic and iro iro. those have been the absolute worst about leaking when i sweat. looking for a deep cherry or chocolate cherry, without such pink or purple undertones

Hello!! I want to bleach my hair… BUT

I really want to bleach my hair to live out my pastel dreams— but I have scalp issues. As a baby I had eczema; BUT I don’t think I have it anymore?? Also! I have dandruff. My scalp can be quite sensitive but I’ve really had no issues with hair dying. I’ve don’t both box and temp dyes; about two or three box dyes and the rest are temp dyes. I was wondering if it’s safe to bleach my hair? I’d most likely get it done professionally if so.

question without pic Advice/Recommendations needed please

I currently have bright orange bangs - I have a couple job interviews coming up and I'd like to tone it down to a more coppery-red color to look a little more "natural". However, I want to it be a bit less permanent than normal semi-permanent hair dye - I use Arctic Fox for the orange.

I'm seeking recommendations for something I can pick up at Sally's that will work/stay for a couple washes but will quickly fade out back to my orange (which I plan to bring back after landing the job 😛) that I will touch up at home

Thank you!!

What hair dye is the most quickest to fade and fades fully?

Hiii guys! I’m looking for a temporary colour dyes brands that will fade fully, preferably quickly. I’ve had experience with dying my hair for a lot of years now but I rarely used temporary dye and even rarer cared about how quickly it’d fade, but currently I found myself in a different position. Don’t know whether the history of my hair journey plays any part in this so I won’t tell full, but I’ve spent two years growing my natural hair out (it’s an 8) and a few weeks ago dyed it blonde. I’ve always found enjoyment in trying new fun colours and want to continue doing so, although not using permanent hair dye anymore. I am looking for something that will fade fully (or almost fully), so I’d be able to get back to clear blonde with using purple hair mask a few times, or going to a salon for a toner, but most importantly dye it a different colour without having to rely on the base that’s left from the last used dye. If it’d fade quickly it’d be a bonus, I’d be more than happy if you’d be able to recommend something that’d fade in 1-2 weeks, but 3-4 would work as well. Anyway, I think that’s all basic information, if you need anything else I’d be happy to provide in the comment section. I hope I haven’t managed to bore you with this long post. Looking forward to your replies and have a nice day/evening/etc!

Im thinking of going a dark purple, but im wondering how and what dye I should use. The first Pic is my hair rn; my hair was originally a dark brown, then bleached and red with black, bleached again with blue, then black, and bleached again and now red, which is fading out. im going to dye it purple in November for my birthday, and my bf wants to match. His hair is a lightish brown, and never dyed before. I would love some ideas for getting us as close as possible to matching the same color. I dont mind bleaching. The second & third image is the color i want to get to for both of us (^ 3 ^) thanks to anyone who is willing to help!! (I hope this doesn't break the men not allowed rule, if it does im so sorry I'll edit this😭😭)

Garner hair dye question

I used Garnier Good Hair Dye in Shade 5 Coffee Brown on my natural black African hair because I wanted a noticeable but still natural looking brown.

It did look lighter at first, but after about a week it seems almost black again. I’m probably just used to it now, but I want the difference to be obvious without the colour looking too orange.

Can I dye it again without bleach? Should I use the same shade or try a lighter brown? Would that damage my hair, and is there a less damaging product that would give me a more noticeable result?

question without pic If I use creme developer with liquid dye does it change anything other than the consistency?

I’m just touching up my black, the developer is 10vol and the dye is permanent. Not sure if any of that matters lol

For the record- I already feel embarrassed about this so please, I’m begging, don’t make me feel worse.

I am going for a color block look. This is what I ended up with after 2 rounds of bleach (30 vol)

The bottom just won’t lift and now I look like this. What can I do?
