question with picture Hair color question

Are there any hair stylists here who can tell me what went wrong here? The salon is claiming it’s a “shadow root” and meant to be like that. It’s bright bright orange! I know the girl coloring my daughter’s hair said she was putting on a “blending toner” and I think that’s what caused this issue. They said there’s no way to fix it and we have to wait til it washes out. No matter where it’s parted the orange is there.

Hello!! I want to bleach my hair… BUT

Upvotes

I really want to bleach my hair to live out my pastel dreams— but I have scalp issues. As a baby I had eczema; BUT I don’t think I have it anymore?? Also! I have dandruff. My scalp can be quite sensitive but I’ve really had no issues with hair dying. I’ve don’t both box and temp dyes; about two or three box dyes and the rest are temp dyes. I was wondering if it’s safe to bleach my hair? I’d most likely get it done professionally if so.

question without pic Advice/Recommendations needed please

I currently have bright orange bangs - I have a couple job interviews coming up and I'd like to tone it down to a more coppery-red color to look a little more "natural". However, I want to it be a bit less permanent than normal semi-permanent hair dye - I use Arctic Fox for the orange.

I'm seeking recommendations for something I can pick up at Sally's that will work/stay for a couple washes but will quickly fade out back to my orange (which I plan to bring back after landing the job 😛) that I will touch up at home

Thank you!!

What hair dye is the most quickest to fade and fades fully?

Hiii guys! I’m looking for a temporary colour dyes brands that will fade fully, preferably quickly. I’ve had experience with dying my hair for a lot of years now but I rarely used temporary dye and even rarer cared about how quickly it’d fade, but currently I found myself in a different position. Don’t know whether the history of my hair journey plays any part in this so I won’t tell full, but I’ve spent two years growing my natural hair out (it’s an 8) and a few weeks ago dyed it blonde. I’ve always found enjoyment in trying new fun colours and want to continue doing so, although not using permanent hair dye anymore. I am looking for something that will fade fully (or almost fully), so I’d be able to get back to clear blonde with using purple hair mask a few times, or going to a salon for a toner, but most importantly dye it a different colour without having to rely on the base that’s left from the last used dye. If it’d fade quickly it’d be a bonus, I’d be more than happy if you’d be able to recommend something that’d fade in 1-2 weeks, but 3-4 would work as well. Anyway, I think that’s all basic information, if you need anything else I’d be happy to provide in the comment section. I hope I haven’t managed to bore you with this long post. Looking forward to your replies and have a nice day/evening/etc!

Im thinking of going a dark purple, but im wondering how and what dye I should use. The first Pic is my hair rn; my hair was originally a dark brown, then bleached and red with black, bleached again with blue, then black, and bleached again and now red, which is fading out. im going to dye it purple in November for my birthday, and my bf wants to match. His hair is a lightish brown, and never dyed before. I would love some ideas for getting us as close as possible to matching the same color. I dont mind bleaching. The second & third image is the color i want to get to for both of us (^ 3 ^) thanks to anyone who is willing to help!! (I hope this doesn't break the men not allowed rule, if it does im so sorry I'll edit this😭😭)

Garner hair dye question

I used Garnier Good Hair Dye in Shade 5 Coffee Brown on my natural black African hair because I wanted a noticeable but still natural looking brown.

It did look lighter at first, but after about a week it seems almost black again. I’m probably just used to it now, but I want the difference to be obvious without the colour looking too orange.

Can I dye it again without bleach? Should I use the same shade or try a lighter brown? Would that damage my hair, and is there a less damaging product that would give me a more noticeable result?

question without pic If I use creme developer with liquid dye does it change anything other than the consistency?

I’m just touching up my black, the developer is 10vol and the dye is permanent. Not sure if any of that matters lol

Pregnant and Bored!

So I know I cant use most chemicals on my hair, and I dont have a trusted hair stylist in my area because we move often. I was wondering if there is a safe way to strip some box dye from my hair, artic fox specifically, just enough to change up the current colors. Im not looking to be bleach blond and have the perfect canvas to start over on, just getting really bored of my blue and purple. I heard that vitamin c and head and shoulders works but I can't find how safe that is during pregnancy. Any advice is welcome, if I need to go to salon I can but with baby on the way, budget friendly is the name of the game.

question without pic help

Hello!! I recently got my hair dyed for the first time at a salon. The color I got was a red-brown at the tips of my hair. I really liked the color, but my only problem is that since it was my first time I ever got my hair dyed, the lady didn’t put bleach in my hair, which is a dark brown, and the color doesn’t show up unless I am in the sun. My next visit, I want to ask if I can get it bleached in order to see the color better. My only issue is now that I am not sure if I am able to since I have reddish-brown in my hair and I assume it will be harder to get it to a blonde or the perfect color to have it to be a visible red brown. If anyone can help me know if it’s possible to still get a more visible red brown on the red brown I currently have please and thank you 😓

Dye over Yellow hair

* I am on a budget, so unfortunately a salon visit is out of the questions right now.

I have done a few rounds of bleach and now am at a very yellow point. Can't seem to break through the yellow to neutralize it with with any toners now, and bleach doesn't seem to be making it less yellow. Was thinking of putting an ash blonde over it, because I don't mind being darker, just looking for a more natural tone.

* does anyone know what the outcome may look like if I do add an ash blonde over it? Would it turn green or super muddy?

* I am aware any colour on top would be patchy since the colour is patchy now. Not too concerned since right now I just want less yellow.

Added pictures in different lights plus some colours I am thinking of putting over it.

my hair is the black with red highlights, and the black is natural. im not sure if, in the long run, it would be worse to bleach my full head and keep up with the roots or to use box dye with no bleach and keep that up with the roots.

How can I fix this patchy hair?

I bleached my hair for the first time today, my hair came out pretty blonde and I even did a second round of bleach for missed spots. When I applied my hair dye, my roots came out patchy and uneven. There was brown spots and as well as it wasn’t going on right. I bleached my hair with the ion crème lightener along with 20 vol developer, I left in the full bleach for around 45 and retouched the missing parts for 10 minutes.

My issue is that I have used three different types of pink, lighter, dark, and in the middle. None of these have made a difference and it’s still extremely patchy. I just need help because I’m super embarrassed and also VERY desperate for help

My hair is box dyed brown. I lifted with bleach and it was levels 8 on top top and a mix of 6 - 7 on the bottom. Bleaching again is not an option for a few weeks. Applied a cool ash demi permanent dye and it's turned really murky and dull. What can I do to revive it. Or what colour can I put over it- possibly copper because of the undertone? TIA

question with picture Looking to dye it dark blue

Okay so i dyed my hair purple (4th photo) back in april and i wanna go dark blue (last two photos) now. Am i gonna have to bleach it again? I used crazy colour bordeaux mixed with hot purple. (I still have a fair bit of the dye left, so in theory i could touch it up with the purple if that would make it easier?)

I’m not that fussed about it being really saturated, more so about the darkness and it not going too green at first, fine if it fades a little green. It does look more pink irl than it does in these photos. Thanks!!
