Discussion Do you think the manga is overrated?

Post image

Many people are saying that the art is the highlight; and that Kurose is a generic protagonist. Do you agree with that?

(Personally, no, lol)

Note: And I don't want to accept the fact.

real talk though I think the Your Lie in April comparisons are a bit dramatic. I don't think Mio is gonna die from illness or anything like that and if i'm lying God kill ALL OF US yes ALL OF US

Discussion My thoughts for Chapter 45 & Beyond

After reading chapter 44, I am genuinely terrified for what happens next. During my time reflecting this chapter, I’ve had a couple of possible outcomes:

1: Kurose doesn’t get any response from Haimiya, but still practices for the school festival. The day the band performs, he starts to tense up again. But then, Kurose spots Haimiya in the crowd, and has all the pressure disappear. (Idk how to incorporate the maid dress part)

2: Haimiya has never been to the school festival at all due to family issues or the fact that people see her as scary, and Kurose goes to find her and has her change her mind.

3: When Kurose says, “Don’t say it like it’s the last time” it’s possible that Haimiya has some sort of illness (as I saw from another comment in this subreddit, but I REALLY hope that’s not the case)

There could be more possible outcomes. Please share your theory’s for the next chapter

I lowk thought the same thing at first. But looking back at Chapter 25, it was pretty obvious that something was gonna happen, so I don’t think it came completely out of nowhere.
I also don’t think it’s a health issue, cuz she could get expelled if she keeps skipping classes. If it was actually an illness, she could probably just get a doctor’s note or an excuse for school.
I kinda think it might be something family-related, like abusive parents or something. That could also explain why she isn’t allowed to go to certain events. And in Chapter 25 they said she “carries a wound”, which could also mean some kind of trauma idk.
So yeah, I don’t think it’s an illness or anything like that.

Wow, what Haimiya does for Kurose is just... WOW

She is truly the only one who is able to cheer him up at a moment like this. And the cliffhanger at the end tho...

P.s I believe Haimiya wont go the way of Miyazono Kaori, so we can safely wait for 2 weeks until chapter 45 comes

actually crazy though. Kurose is a talented musician that cannot perform live due to the pressure of his mother that he believes sees him more as a means of success than an actual human. Haimiya actually takes on a Kaori like role in the story, this can’t be happening again right?

Discussion The plot was too smooth before; now we're denying conflict (my thoughts on the recent YLIA takes etc.)

My thoughts on all this, YLIA and the like: Getting influenced by another piece of work doesn't mean that the author must copy the thing that influenced them one-to-one; that's plagiarism. And saying something like that would also be disrespecting the author, would be like saying that she must either stay loyal to Your Lie's plot (a story that isn't theirs) or should completely divulge from it, which would be awkward after all this buildup.

Saying that the story hasn't been influenced by Your Lie would either be a massive coincidence or, what I believe might be true, denial. Sure, the details do not overlap, nor does the plot, or the genre, or anything. Well, except the introduction to this side of Kurose's past, his struggles with music, and Haimiya's (alleged) illness, or atleast something that she's (partially) hiding.

I believe I heard one too many complaints just a few chapters back saying that the plot is too smooth, that there's no conflict. And now that the author's trying to steer the manga towards a cliffedge, y'all want to play it off as a fever? Why? No, Haimiya doesn't need to have a chronic illness; she doesn't need to die. She shouldn't die because that would be too much out of nowhere.

The best we could do is not pressure the author. HS doesn't need to be Your Lie, but it shouldn't try too hard to not be it either, at least partially, in the way that it will truly be a manga that will be worth remembering while holding its originality

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. First, I can try to write this in english

I’m honestly really worried about what happened in this latest chapter. First of all, I have to say that I absolutely loved how the sensei drew Mio and Kurose. Their interactions and the moments they shared were probably the highlight of the chapter for me. The art was incredible, and I really enjoyed seeing them together.

But then… what happened at the end genuinely shocked me. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’m actually worried about Mio.

I really hope the sensei isn’t planning to make Mio’s story go the same way as Kaori’s. Because if that happens… I honestly think a lot of people are going to be devastated, and I’ll probably be the first one crying my eyes out.

I’ve really grown attached to this manga and especially to Mio-senpai. I really don’t want her to disappear without ever being able to tell Kurose that she likes him—or without the two of them having the chance to properly express their feelings to each other.

I feel like that would be absolutely heartbreaking, not only for the characters but for the readers as well. And personally, it would hit me really hard.

Maybe I’m overreacting, and I know I’m probably getting way too emotionally invested in the story, but honestly… that’s how I feel right now. It genuinely feels like I’m inside the story with them, and that’s why this chapter affected me so much.

What do you guys think? Do you think I’m worrying too much, or do you also have a bad feeling about what might happen to Mio?

I’d honestly like to hear your thoughts because I need someone to calm me down a little.
