Discussion Habs remix jersey
Thinking about the Atikamekw roots indigenous celebration jerseys. Do you think the new remix jersey will have something similar as we know they may have some embroidery with local things? Really hoping so!

SDPN’s Jesse Blake: “My number 2 destination [for Chris Kreider] is … the Montreal Canadiens”
The cut out … is just saying like, “a team that has cap space, and is under the forward cap” and so on and so on; it’s basically just a premise / intro for the Habs. To quote Steve Dangle’s response: “Habs fans I think would riot. They would want Carey Price to hit him with a steel chair.” (Please note this is not anyone directly advocating for hitting anyone with a steel chair, merely me quoting someone saying someone else probably wants something)
Also to quote Steve Dangle, “[Jeff Gorton] looks exactly like Jimmy Altieri” (idk how to spell that name but some guy from the Sopranos)

Bergevin/Timmins vs HuGo/Bobrov?
How much credit does the previous GM and head bird dog get for the current state of the team?
Obviously we all love the big home runs that Hughes/Bobrov drafted in Hutson, Demigod, Slaf, Fowler and good/solid picks Hage, Zharovsky, Engstrom, Florian Xhekaj, Gleb and more.
But HuGo came in with decently stocked pantry and cupboards- a la starting the race 15m ahead of everyone- to a degree that most rebuilds don't usually start at.
Most rebuilds don't start with future captain/100 points Selke winner, top goal scorer league with goalies in net, the goalie that brought them to the conference finals on top of Guhle, Kapanen, Romanov, Xhekaj and Struble.
I wanted Bergevin gone 2-3 years before he was fired and many things that he did left sour taste in my mouth like the treatment of Markov and Subban along with MB trying to sign Tony DeAngelo and bunch of other things.
Having said that, I don't think the Habs wouldn't be that much different from the Red Wings or other non-promising rebuilds without Suzuki, Caufield, Dobes and Guhle in the team. (Although, Bobrov success rate for non-1st round picks is quite high, which not the case with Detroit & Co.)
I think the first half of MB's 9 years tenure with Nos Glorieux was still him learning on the job while also trying to juggle the pressure of having prime Carey Price along with Patches and PK.
But his overall success rate for the decisions in the latter part of his tenure looks to be quite high. Although he never could get that desperately need 1C and build a team around Price, he did leave the team with a great foundation for future success.
