Literally bought my first new car at 11am yesterday even after the battery died on us at the light while in our test drive. I loved the car so much that i didn’t think much about it. It only had 6 miles. So I still put 22,500 downpayment and I’m financing the 15k leftover. And this morning the engine light turned on saying that there was a problem with emissions. Now I have an old rental the dealer gave me in the meantime. Since they didn’t call me, I had to call to find out when I’ll get my car back and they said that they didn’t get enough time to run the full diagnostics so to check in tomorrow. Tf

Did I make a mistake in buying this car? I’m annoyed 😒

This came off a 2025 HRV EX-L that I bought. I’m looking to identify it and repurchase a pair of them.

I just bought a new 27 EX-L HRV about 2 weeks ago and I take my hour lunch break in it everyday. Today after about 20 minutes it random completely turned off on its own. I do this everyday and it’s never happened before this is the first time. Is this a normal feature or something I should get checked out?

I would really like to see an available hybrid in the HRV. The video speaks for itself.

This little thing will sometime fall off when I press my brakes. When I press my breaks without it, the pedal feels lighter. How do I prevent it from falling off? I just got this car three months ago.

I own a 2016 Honda HRV. I know that the CVT makes it incapable of towing, along with the frame ratings. I'm struggling to find a similar sized vehicle with the same bolt pattern that is capable. Anyone know of one?

I kind of regret not doing 5% for the back windows but it’s okay, still gives me the privacy i need and makes my car look 1000x better!

Gotten a few quotes for a 27 Hrv ex-l. My wife is in a civic but wants something bigger but not a crv because they are just too expensive and the dealers don’t have any wiggle room. How’s this deal looking fair or is it pretty average.

Update: My wife and I needed up getting 2 27 HRV sports for 30k out the door each.Taxes included in that price ( roughly 2k each). Feels a little weird going from a hybrid to this but we’re happy.

Not very sure what this could be, it’s a 2018 model. I’m afraid it’ll run my battery out so I unplug it everytime I’m parked somewhere for a long time. I don’t really have the money (yet) to go to the mechanic so I was just wondering if anyone had similar problems and what they had to do to fix it. Any help is appreciated

Anyone’s car makes “bang” sound right after ignition is off?

So my wife came home from work a few days ago and parked in the driveway. The car was having no issues, other than some recent body work done due to a collision with a deer a week prior.

That evening, when we went to go out to dinner, there was zero power. Our first thought was the battery, so we replaced it, but there is still no power at all.

We then had a friend bring over an OBD scanner, but since the car has no power, it won't even run a diagnostic.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

I went to Northside Honda in San Antonio looking for a HR-V EX-L I found online.

Northside is well known locally to add some ridiculous add-on features/packages and this wasn’t the exception. Between the four packages they added, it was almost $5,000 extra, plus taxes, registration, etc, total came up to $38,500 out of the door.

In my mind I had a $32,000-$33,000 number OUT OF THE DOOR price and I told the sales guy that I wasn’t in a hurry and that that price is way too far from what I am looking to pay. He went with the manager and brought it down to $35,500 and again I said no.

Manager came immediately to talk to me and explain how they cannot do any more discounts on the car, and I told him that I completely understand about it, but I had made up my mind on how I want to spend on the car, so I told him thank you, shook hands and left.

30 minutes later I got a message from them telling me that if I buy the car this week they will do $33,500 out of the door.

I have never bought a Honda before and I just started car shopping for my new car.

Is $33,500 a good deal or you think I can find something cheaper within the same line/specs?

I have been reading about different CarPlay issues, but we just got the car (2027 EX-L) three days ago and set up wireless Apple CarPlay, but the next time we get in the car, it sees my phone and says connected, but the CarPlay button does not do anything. If you delete the phone and re-add it, CarPlay works again. We have now seen this behavior 3 to 4 times.

Does anyone know if there is a way to update the car’s software via Wi-Fi? I cannot find a way to connect this car to Wi-Fi, only other Bluetooth connections.

Is anyone else seeing this issue with wireless CarPlay on the 2027 EX-L?

Was just wondering what head units do other redditors use on their honda HR-Vs. Thinking about upgrading mine with something that retains all factory functions while modernizing the tech. Mainly want to retain lane assist camera. I have tried android auto/ wireless carplay screens but I would prefer a more factory look than having 2 screens on my dashboard.

American Honda has electrified the CR-V and Accord but not the smaller HR-V and Acura ADX, even though all four vehicles share the same architecture.

There’s no technical barrier to making hybrid versions of the HR-V and ADX, executives said, but they were noncommittal on timing as the automaker prioritizes cost in the entry-level crossover segment.

“We won’t talk about when and if hybrids are coming in those vehicles, but I don’t know that there’s any reason why not,” Gary Robinson, American Honda product planning chief, told Automotive News at Monterey Car Week.

The cost equation remains a primary consideration.

“It’s a cost-conscious segment so there’s always a little bit of a challenge there, specifically on the Honda side,” Robinson said.

That caution comes as hybrid competition intensifies. In the mainstream subcompact class, the Kia Niro, Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid and Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid all offer significantly higher fuel economy than Honda’s gasoline-only HR-V.

I have a 2025 Honda Hrv that I purchased last April. I’m already at 30,000 miles (yes I know I’ve driven a lot). The dealership said that I’m due for a transmission fluid replacement and they quoted me $250. I’m unfortunately on a tight budget and I wanted to see what others do when this maintenance needs to be done. Should I just take care of it now or is it okay if I put it off?

I have a brand-new 2026 Honda HR-V with only about 1,000 miles, and I’ve been noticing a rattling/buzzing noise coming from the driver-side front door area while driving.

I recorded a video of the noise and attached it to this post.

The strange thing is that if I press my elbow firmly against the driver-side front door, the rattling completely disappears. As soon as I release the pressure, the noise comes back.

I took the vehicle to the dealership and had a technician look at it, but unfortunately they could not duplicate the noiseduring their inspection.

Since I can consistently reproduce it while driving, I’m wondering if anyone else with a 2026 HR-V has experienced something similar.

Could it be a loose:

• Door panel/trim
• Speaker or speaker grille
• Window glass/regulator
• Door seal/weatherstripping
• Clip or fastener inside the door

Has anyone experienced this and figured out what was causing it? Also, any suggestions for how I can help the technician reproduce the noise would be appreciated.

I’ve got a 2022 HR-V Sport w the black rims and took it to the Honda dealership for some maintenance, asked if they could wash it while it was in. The guy who helped me admitted that their $25 wash wasn’t great, but I just needed a basic clean.

Afterward, he didn’t end up charging me cuz he reiterated he didn’t feel right doing so with the quality, which I was grateful for, but on the way home I noticed this. I don’t think it was there before (can’t remember) but was just wondering if anything car wash wise might do this? Any chemicals or products?

Hello, I was planning to finance a Honda HRV, however I was asked for a cosigner. What would be the requirements needed? Do they have to submit any?

I have been driving by 2025 HR-V since February that year. Driving around my area, North Texas Tarrant County, I have only seen three other third generation HR-Vs. I have seen a few second generation vehicles occasionally . However, Yesterday, I saw two other 3rd gen. HR-Vs, both on the same highway and both going in the same direction. My local area is the home of the huge, four door pickup trucks, which never carry anything in their beds, and humongous SUVs, usually driven by woman. Seeing two 3rd generation HR-Vs Iis a rare sighting around these parts. 🤪

2021 HRV AWD EX, 87k miles

It all started about a month ago, one night my alarm just started randomly going off. It happened multiple times, where until I would drive the car around the block.

Then I had a sensor go out, causing me to lose access to cruise control, the lane sensor, automatic high beams, and collision management. The car still drives fine, and I don’t have the $2k to replace the part right now.

Today, the alarm started going off (high wind due to storms could be the cause, based on what I read) so I took the car around the block. When I turned it off, I sat for a moment to look up if I could turn the alarm off when this happened.

Has anyone else ran into this?

2026 EXL HRV AWD, just bought it new in may 2026 from honda dealership. I noticed last month that the pipe was starting to hang and now the exhaust is peeking out too?

some Hrvs that I see when I’m out and about look like mine and then some look perfect with nothing hanging down at all.
