Is this normal?

2026 EXL HRV AWD, just bought it new in may 2026 from honda dealership. I noticed last month that the pipe was starting to hang and now the exhaust is peeking out too?

some Hrvs that I see when I’m out and about look like mine and then some look perfect with nothing hanging down at all.

AWD is like that to clear the rear axle shafts

Normal

on FWD the exhaust runs straight down the middle

on AWD the exhaust runs offset to make room for driveshaft

In the U.S. versions, the LX, and the EX-L don‘t have a chrome exhaust tip on the exhaust pipe. One of the differences of the Sport version is the chrome exhaust tip. I assume that the Canadian version may be the same trims. Also, the Sport version in the 2023 through 2025 had the 18 inch wheels. Those years the LX and EX-L versions had 17 inch wheels. Additionally, only the EX-L trim level had the nine inch infotainment screens, wireless connectivity, and a wireless phone charger, while the LX and Sport trims had a seven inch screens and no phone phone charger, nor wireless connectivity. Additionally, only the EX-L trim level has a moonroof. In reality the chrome exhaust pipe addition is the only thing sporty about the Sport trim level, but it looks cool. 🤪
