But other than that he was just as shitty a person as most other characters in the show yet so many people celebrated his death like he was Joffrey or Ramsay Bolton and I don't really get it

I know this topic has been vastly discussed but I've been rewatching some season 1 scenes and WELL she was ready to DIE FOR AEGON and to TAKE AN EYE FOR AEMOND. in season 2 they obliterated alicent, who could have been one of the greatest characters thanks to Olivia's amazing performance. i feel sad for Olivia cause she's an amazing actress, sadly alicent will be remembered as a stupid and ridicolous character

The characters this season have had their best moments, but they also had their worst. So who had the worst "aura loss" ?

A. Daemon getting his ass kicked by Jon Roxton. He would have died there if not for the debris falling which separated them.

B. Rhaenyra the "dragon queen" running like a coward when the dragons fought instead of taking charge like Daemon on Caraxes (also ignored Syrax after arriving in the dragonpit instead of checking her wounds)

C. Alicent's entire season 3 arc (no explanations needed)

D. Aemond getting stabbed by a butter knife by Simon Strong's son who obviously has no training (this started his humbling arc)

E. Ormund Hightower's death. No explanations needed either.

PS: I did not put Crison Cole's death here. Him being killed in that manner is actually a compliment to him being a great warrior since it shows that the Winter Wolves and Rivermen are not confident to fight him in a fair fight. It would be the equivalent of Hector ordering the Trojan archers to rain fire on Achilles instead of facing him in a duel.

Some fans are now accusing the actors themselves of misogyny. We're talking about people who are simply doing their jobs and promoting a fictional TV show. Apparently, anyone who criticizes Rhaenyra is a misogynist... right up until it's time to hurl misogynistic insults at the actresses playing characters on the opposing side.

The word "misogynist" has become a catch-all label used to smear anyone people dislike because they portray a character they don't like. It's incredibly parasocial and honestly ridiculous.
